Happy Thanksgiving - In The Faith

Despite all of the turmoil going on around the world and here in the U.S.A. we STILL have a lot to be thankful for! His promises written in the Bible have been kept. Prophecy fulfilled is proof of who He is and we know that all promises given to us by the Lord will be kept - both in this current world of existence as well as into eternity.

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. His mercies are new every morning.

My loved ones all realize even more of His mercy and grace today. We had a health scare in our family, and the results of an MRI revealed that it wasn't the dreaded disease of cancer. The lesser problem is nothing compared to what a diagnosis for cancer would have been!

I recall praying for healing of my loved one through Jesus Christ two days ago. I recall witnessing the painful ordeal my loved one has been going through and the uncomfortable time endured through the MRI. I recall the agonizing wait the next day to hear what was wrong.

Through it all, friends and family were praying fervently. One very special lady kept telling me to "keep the faith."

People, no matter how strong your own individual faith is the truth is that we need each other, as fellow Christians, to help us in our times of fear, doubt, pain, suffering and worry. That is why we have the church. I don't mean a building - I mean the people in the faith.

The encouragement was greatly appreciated (you know who you are!!) and helped to calm my spirit while awaiting the test results.

Today was an extra special Thanksgiving. At our table, we thanked the Lord Jesus Christ for our lives, our health, and the love we have for God, each other, and especially the love that God has shown to us through His Son, Jesus Christ.

Happy Thanksgiving and may God bless you and yours this day and always.

I surely hope you and your family are well Christine. If God's eye is on the sparrow, rest assured He's not forgetting His special ones ... as you and your family are.

Christian Conservitives need to understand that they need us non-Christian Conservatives help to destroy the Communist coup that now has control of our once great country. So please let us work together to destroy Communism and the Obama regime. We all hate Muslims so that should not be a problem. Let's fight the evil together. Just accept us non-believers as your brothers in arms and we together can defeat the evil. But please don't try to force us to accept what you preach on Sunday. We need you and you need us. Keep religion at home and we can all work together. Religion is personal and like most things personal should be kept close to home and not instaled into politics. Peace be with and you as soon as we together defeat the EVIL we can talk about personal things! old1

Thanks Steve. Yes - we are all well. And thanks for the reminder about the sparrow. Sometimes, when crises hit, it is easy to forget how He comes through for us in ways that we couldn't even imagine.

I find it a bit strange for you to post what you did here within this personal story post.

I don't hate Muslims. I hate the evil that the radical Islamists do because of whom they follow.

I understand that you are coming from a different perspective. But my Christian beliefs lead me to be certain that evil has already been defeated - by Jesus Christ.

I'm not forcing anyone to accept what I preach on Sunday. This blog's goal is stated in clear terms at the top of the page. In case you missed it, here's a copy:

Talk Wisdom's goal is to defend the tenets and values of Biblical Christian faith. We defend our Constitutional Republic and Charters of Freedom, especially when speaking out against destructive social and political issues. As followers of our Savior and Lord, we should boldly stand up for Jesus Christ in our present circumstances. He is our Savior, Lord, and King, and His love needs to be shed abroad in our hearts and in our world - now.

I do agree that we should both confront the evil as it attacks our nation and families. However, I couldn't disagree with you more when you write, "Keep religion at home and we can all work together. Religion is personal and like most things personal should be kept close to home and not instaled into politics."

My faith is not just a religion. It is based on a personal relationship with my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Jesus warned us that "in this world, you will have trouble [tribulation]. But take heart for I have overcome the world."

Without Him we can do nothing.

Even though you choose not to believe in Jesus Christ, one day you will bow the knee to Him in eternity. It is your choice whether or not you will be ashamed or filled with joy at His appearing.

Isa 45:23 I have sworn by Myself; The word has gone out of My mouth in righteousness, And shall not return, That to Me every knee shall bow, Every tongue shall take an oath.

Isa 45:24 He shall say, 'Surely in the LORD I have righteousness and strength. To Him men shall come, And all shall be ashamed Who are incensed against Him.

Rom 14:11 For it is written: "As I live, says the LORD, Every knee shall bow to Me, And every tongue shall confess to God."

Rom 14:12 So then each of us shall give account of himself to God.
