It was predicted long ago in Scripture that such things would be happening the closer we get to Jesus' second coming. But like you, I do not believe that we should just sit back and let the secular humanistic culture infiltrate and destroy our Christian churches!

Keeping the Lord before us, and diligently studying His Word will keep us from error, and help us recognize heresy and apostasy when they come to destroy the churches from within. The book of Jude contains explicit warnings of the types of errors that would be attempted by "wolves in sheeps clothing" to steer people away from the true gospel of Jesus Christ. If we don't read the Bible and recognize them, then how would we possibly know when we are being deceived by "men of the cloth" who are false prophets?

The first few chapters of Revelation also tell us how churches can be lead down the wrong path. There are many Christians (and the pastors and churches they attend) who do not ever read or study the book of Revelation! But look at what is written in the first few verses about that book!

Rev 1:1 THE Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show His servants--things which must shortly take place. And He sent and signified it by His angel to His servant John,

Rev 1:2 who bore witness to the word of God, and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, to all things that he saw.
Rev 1:3 Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it; for the time is near. (bold mine)

John then goes into what Jesus has "against thee" (meaning the churches) in Rev. 1:4-3:22!

At the conclusion of the admonitions to the churches, Christ says:

Rev 3:19 "As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent.

Rev 3:20 "Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.

Rev 3:21 "To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.

Rev 3:22 "He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches."'" (bold mine)

What does that say about the Christian churches today who don't read the book of Revelation?Christinewjchttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18434229284833642438noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12391603.post-1164040139379024372006-11-20T08:28:00.000-08:002006-11-20T08:28:00.000-08:00Hi Faultline USA,I'm so glad that you found the po...Hi Faultline USA,

I'm so glad that you found the post inspiring! I read your post at your blog and it was so very revealing about the differences between the liberal-left progressive believers and their movement as compared to the traditional, Biblical-worldview believers. I have added your blog to my blogroll! Hope you will visit here often!

In Christ,
ChristineChristinewjchttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18434229284833642438noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12391603.post-1163971191874451022006-11-19T13:19:00.000-08:002006-11-19T13:19:00.000-08:00Hi there Christine. I don't travel that much but I've been around some countries and unfortunately I don't like what I've seen. It seems the worldly manners worldly acting is coming to church. It's infiltrating from the head of the church to the very humble service. I've seen it. If only we used our prayer to change that but what I've seen so far as well is all this was already predicted.
Sorry I've been disgusted for things that have happened in my Church and around. If only we could keep the Lord before us... how different it would be.JFhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04763031694766553360noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12391603.post-1163953897209656882006-11-19T08:31:00.000-08:002006-11-19T08:31:00.000-08:00Christine, thank you for your very inspiring post....Christine, thank you for your very inspiring post. I loved what you wrote “Neither are we to be infected by the world. We are called to infiltrate the world for Christ.” As we are about to enter another Christmas season you might be interested in the subtle infiltration from the left concerning what is said to be the War on Christmas.
