Even Jesus stated:

Mat 10:34

“Do not think that I came to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace but a sword.

A sword is an offensive weapon. This passage indicates that there would be animosity between believers in Christ and the rest of the world. It is inevitable.

The rest of the Matthew 10 passage indicates that our first love should be God, and Jesus Christ Whom He sent. Only THEN will there be peace between "a man and his father" and "a daughter [who otherwise might be] against her mother."

The peace and harmony that exists within our family is proof of this analogy that Christ has made! We are all born again in Christ and believers of His Promises. Thus, we get along extremely well - and it is evident in our day to day living.

On the other hand, I have seen the disharmony amongst those who do not know Christ. It is so sad to see. But they remain in my thoughts and prayers. I do not think that catastrophic warming is imminent, nor universal; the term “climate change” is more accurate and more descriptive. It may be that we're simply undergoing an anomaly.
However, your linked article names only Dr. Lindzen. He mentions some discreancies and an omission from the IPCC, but that's only evidence for deception, not that there's no global warming. The other linked article mentions only the spokesmen for the Union of Concerned Scientists and the United Nations by name, and we know they stand on the side of climate change.

Surprise follows surprise! All this comes from the Associated Press. You don't trust the 'Media of Mass Deception' on anything else, but you link to this??

As for the original topic: given what I've read of O'Reilly, Killing Jesus isn't much more of a history book than it is a religious one. I'll leave all that stuff about the Holy Spirit, and how such a spirit can be aggrieved, to you and him. Like I said, watching people argue over whose version of ignorance, myth, magic and superstition is the right version is always fun.
He claims to be a Christian, just as you do. If you don't like his ideas, either correct him, or leave him to heaven.GMpilothttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07189308176043748343noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12391603.post-2875758925551752022013-10-02T08:53:44.214-07:002013-10-02T08:53:44.214-07:00And, just because you asked see some evidence, thi...And, just because you asked see some evidence, this article is appropriately entitled, Top MIT scientist: Newest UN climate report is ‘hilariously’ flawed

Christinewjchttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18434229284833642438noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12391603.post-54657671130775288622013-10-02T08:39:50.902-07:002013-10-02T08:39:50.902-07:00This post's comment section has indeed drifted...This post's comment section has indeed drifted off topic. I deleted Jenny's latest one because all she did was blather (again) on about who is involved in the "ignorance, myth, magic and superstition" verbal war that you started in this thread.

Your recent comment however, did include a question in reference to the original post so I will answer that portion of your comment.

The reason that O'Reilly's talking points during the interview caused me to state that he is grieving the Holy Spirit is precisely because he claims to have heard from the Holy Spirit, yet rejects certain portions of the Bible. He has claimed on his T.V. show (over the past few months in preparation for the book's release) that much of the Bible is "allegory." He also claimed (during the recent interview) that Jesus could not have uttered the words, "forgive them Father, for they know not what they do." His reasoning (apparently) is based on his belief that crucifixion causes the inability to speak. However, we know several statements were made by Christ on the cross and recorded in the Bible which actually fulfilled Bible prophecy from the Old Testament regarding the coming Messiah.

O'Reilly excuses himself from scrutiny (or so he thinks) by claiming that his book is not a "religious" book about Jesus (he claims that he doesn't call Him Christ in the book), but just a history book about the crucifixion. I haven't read it, and don't plan to because I perceive it to be a blasphemous book.

Christinewjchttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18434229284833642438noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12391603.post-34423729674999559082013-10-01T22:00:23.391-07:002013-10-01T22:00:23.391-07:00Actually, hostess, the blog post's topic was a...Actually, hostess, the blog post's topic was about how you're pissed at Bill O'Reilly, saying that 'his stances on many issues go against either the Catholic faith or Christian truth' . You even went so far as to claim 'O'Reilly's "writings" are more likely to be grieving the Holy Spirit of God! Indeed, that was the very title of your rant!

Now about this other thing...

”If you only read the rabid liberal leftist lunatic fringe websites and blogs, then you are only getting THEIR hopelessly skewed half of the story!”

I've read the OTHER hopelessly skewed half of the story as well, and I think this is where you got it. This must be one of those cases where religion and science are compatible...except that they're not.

”Oh wait...we have abortion to keep the human population down.”

War works faster, on a larger scale, and its side effects, such as famine and disease, keep the human population down. And religionists love it—their rhetoric and sacred texts are often full of war imagery.
Compared to war, abortion is a drop in the bucket—but I don't see you speaking out against that.

”Did you know that the current trend has actually been global cooling over the past 15 years?”

So we may freeze instead of fry? That doesn't sound much better...reminds me of an old Twilight Zone episode.

Can you please point me to the evidence for that? Or are you just exuding your own gases here?
If you got 'em, show 'em.GMpilothttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07189308176043748343noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12391603.post-68048336385962948662013-10-01T10:46:29.446-07:002013-10-01T10:46:29.446-07:00Jenny,

Are we not supposed to breathe out carbon dioxide? Oh wait...we have abortion to keep the human population down.

How is it that plants utilize carbon dioxide and emit oxygen for people to breathe?

Did you know that the current trend has actually been global cooling over the past 15 years?

You have been brainwashed by the likes of Al Goracle - who made millions traveling around the globe while promoting a "warming" hoax as he jets around spewing tons more toxic chemicals into the air in one month than the average person (or cow) would in a lifetime!

Anyway...this blog post's current topic was not about that.
