The challenges come when we acknowledge that He is Lord, His ways are right, and we work to change our attitudes to conform to Him. Accepting God through Christ has never meant that he is ours. For me the telling phrase in Obama's commentary is:

"I find it hard to believe that my God would consign four-fifths of the world to hell."

It sounds very reasonable until you stop and analyze all of the implications. There is no challenge in either faith or obedience to claim a god who must conform to our standards of fairness, morality, or anything else for that matter. The challenges come when we acknowledge that He is Lord, His ways are right, and we work to change our attitudes to conform to Him. Accepting God through Christ has never meant that he is ours. Apparently, there are many Christians who are Biblically illiterate! It's a very sad, but true fact!

We desperately need a biblically-based national revival to true, genuine, Christianity in this nation! I hope that "The Truth Project" turns out to be one vehicle through which a turn back to genuine Christian faith is accomplished!Christinewjchttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18434229284833642438noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12391603.post-91836397087145663532008-07-02T13:32:00.000-07:002008-07-02T13:32:00.000-07:00Susan's important question: "Are we not all calle...Susan's important question: "Are we not all called to be missionaries wherever we go?"

Certainly! That is what the Great Commission is all about!

Realizing this fact serves as further evidence that Obama doesn't even understand true Christianity.

Last night on Hannity and Colmes, a Democratic spokesperson stated that "Obama is born again." Sadly, so many Americans are Biblically illiterate that they will probably nod there head at whatever silliness he says.

Jesus is the only way. The New Testament claims that 100 times directly and indirectly. That isn't what makes it true, but it does mean that anyone claiming to be a Christian should hold that view. To say there are other paths to God spits on the cross and the Bible.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12391603.post-14742588164991087812008-07-01T17:15:00.000-07:002008-07-01T17:15:00.000-07:00Yes Christine. Proselytizing was just the same as...Yes Christine. Proselytizing was just the same as a dirty word to many Christian volunteers. Of course talking about Jesus is “ok” for short-term tourists. Israel is comparable to the United States in many ways regarding freedom of religion; however, I was told proselytizing is against the law in Israel more than once during my 5 years in the Land.

In a sense this is an “unspoken” rule among the three major Christian organizations in Jerusalem. The three largest organizations are the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem (ICEJ), Bridges for Peace (BFP) and Christian Friends of Israel (CFI). If a Gentile wants to remain in Israel, you learn quickly not to proselytize or do overt “missionary” work in any way. The word “missionary” is also a word Christians learn not to use in the Land of Israel.

Most Orthodox Jews and some secular Jews are very offended if you say you are a missionary. Who can define a missionary today? As you mentioned what is called the Great Commission earlier, Christine...all true believers are to go and make disciples. You teach the whole world via the Internet through your Talk Wisdom blog on a daily basis. Are we not all called to be missionaries wherever we go?

It is way past my time to log off. Good night my dear friend and keep shining, my dear “little” sister...we reap what we sow! The law of the harvest is we reap exactly what we sow; we reap after we sow and we usually reap much more than we sow. My dad was a farmer. However, I had success when I listed it in the Blog Friends list. Not sure why one works (from the Layout menu) and the other doesn't. I did notice that in the past, it defaulted back to your nokwanzaa url!

I will try to list it in the Christian Blog list again later and see if I have success.Christinewjchttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18434229284833642438noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12391603.post-13017704488917892022008-07-01T14:59:00.000-07:002008-07-01T14:59:00.000-07:00Uh, looks like it's started already. That is usually a term used by gospel-rejecting secular-humanist Christian haters!”

I heard the term “proselytizing” a lot during my five years in Jerusalem. It is used in Israel to prevent Christians from talking about Jesus.

Jesus the Messiah delivered me from more than 20 years of sexual immorality (practicing the sin of homosexuality) and more than 30 years of drunkenness. Having experienced such divine grace in my life makes it practically impossible for me NOT to tell others about Jesus every single day. The power of God transforms our lives as the Holy Spirit renews our minds (ROM 12:2) every day when we surrender our lives to the Lord.

God bless you Christine as you continue to be the “light of the world” (MAT 5:14). Much love to the West coast from the East side of the USA. Perhaps many readers already know about it.

While researching and viewing some of the Obama videos on Youtube, I stumbled upon another blatant example of squelching free speech and promoting left-wing bias. Youtube has mysteriously disabled comments on MANY of Obama's negative videos, as well as videos of his wife's anti-American video rants.

Yet, videos with terribly disparaging remarks (and curse-filled titles, for that matter!) of George W. Bush have THOUSANDS of comments - many of them quite awful and repugnant - posted.

Let's compare.

Obama? No comments allowed.

George W. Bush? ALL comments allowed.

Hmmmm....what's wrong with this picture???Christinewjchttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18434229284833642438noreply@blogger.com
