You feel alienated from older forms of church, you don't think they connect to modern culture very well. No one knows the whole truth about God, and we have much to learn from each other, and so learning takes place in dialogue. Evangelism should take place in relationships rather than through crusades and altar-calls. People are interested in spirituality and want to ask questions, so the church should help them to do this.

Emergent/Postmodern 100%
Classical Liberal 86%
Evangelical Holiness/Wesleyan 64%
Modern Liberal 57%
Neo orthodox 54%
Roman Catholic 39%
Charismatic/Pentecostal 25%
Reformed Evangelical 7%
Fundamentalist 4%

if you would, go to my site and read "i want moreland, lotsa land." there's a link there to an article jp moreland wrote that you'd find interesting. i did, anyway.

thanks. have a good week.

mike rucker
fairburn, ga
http://mikerucker.wordpress.comspud tooleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09921322553025339949noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12391603.post-64592799355622187582007-12-22T16:09:00.000-08:002007-12-22T16:09:00.000-08:00hey Christine,Barth is required reading in many se...hey Christine,
Barth is required reading in many seminaries. What was his great intellectual theological conclusion...?

"Jesus loves me this I know for the Bible tells me so".

He takes God out of history and the human experience because it doesn't fit a rational human mind but he will accept biblical miracles to ease his pain. In other words, man not the word of God becomes wisdom.

Barth and others like him simply say, "Hey, if you read the Bible, and you get your own experience out of it, that's really cool man! That's your ticket, and that's where the Bible becomes the truth to you."...There is no historic, objective, or absolute biblical content to it, and what you get is a meaningless (personal) Christianity. Humanism at its best!

Barth suxs! :)Markhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10281126424462398813noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12391603.post-33528818548763488862007-12-22T05:04:00.000-08:002007-12-22T05:04:00.000-08:00What's your theological worldview? You take the Bible as the foundation of your faith and read it very literally, and it shapes your worldview. Non-fundamentalist Christians have watered-down the Gospel in your view, and academic study of the Bible stops us from 'taking God at his word.' Science is opposed to faith, as it contradicts basic biblical truths.
Fundamentalist
86%
Evangelical Holiness/Wesleyan
86%
Reformed Evangelical
79%
Neo orthodox
43%
Charismatic/Pentecostal
39%
Emergent/Postmodern
25%
Classical Liberal
21%
Roman Catholic
14%
Modern Liberal
0%

Couple of questions were too vague, which I think leads to some slight skewing of results, but still, pretty cool.Matt W.https://www.blogger.com/profile/10119224167961803495noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12391603.post-42796193229288006452007-12-22T04:43:00.000-08:002007-12-22T04:43:00.000-08:00I did a search and learned who Karl Barth is. My answer to that question about him changed from the one posted at gcmwatch.

After taking the quiz a second time, my results were as follows:

What's your theological worldview?
You scored as a Reformed Evangelical
You are a Reformed Evangelical. You take the Bible very seriously because it is God's Word. You most likely hold to TULIP and are sceptical about the possibilities of universal atonement or resistible grace. The most important thing the Church can do is make sure people hear how they can go to heaven when they die.
Reformed Evangelical
93%
Fundamentalist
86%
Evangelical Holiness/Wesleyan
86%
Neo orthodox
68%
Classical Liberal
43%
Charismatic/Pentecostal
39%
Roman Catholic
36%
Emergent/Postmodern
32%
Modern Liberal
18%

The results of this second quiz sound more like me.Christinewjchttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18434229284833642438noreply@blogger.com
