Episcopal Church Going Off the Deep End

Why does this not surprise me at all? Evangelism Low Priority for Episcopalians. Truly sad! People need to wake up and see what damage is being done to a once great denomination!

This comment at the site written by "Chalice" sums it up quite well:

Come on friends. This action of the ECUSA is only appropriate. How and why should the ECUSA make evangelism a priority when [they] have NOTHING to evangelize about. How can the ECUSA claim to have a Gospel to 'proclaim' and 'take into all the world' when they have just resolved that they can alter the Gospel in accord with their own agenda. The problem is that the ECUSA has, of its own volition, done a poor job at promoting 'justice and peace' within and amongst its own constituency. How can ANYONE look at a Bennison or a Howard and then have the audacity to claim that 'justice and peace' are important. This TOO is a lie. The obliteration of the Christian faith is what lies at stake ... and all in the name of 'justice and peace.'

Ya got that right!

Even worse! Episcopal Leaders to Honor Anti-Israel Theologian with 'Peace' Award

Note this portion of the article:

That same official is quoted as saying the Palestinian theologian has "spoken very warmly of the tactic of suicide bombing, explaining it as a logical outcome of the difficult situation in which many Palestinians live." In fact, in a 2002 essay, Ateek wrote that Palestinian homicide bombers were "the product of [Israel's] own making."

Wow. Honoring a "theologian" who praises suicide bombing?

I guess they don't read the Bible in that denomination either.

Genesis 12:1 - Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee:

Genesis 12:2 - And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:

Genesis 12:3 - And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.
