Conspiracy Theories Abound [Updates]

I have recently started reading Drkatesview blog and included a link in my sidebar here at Talk Wisdom. I usually do not include links to those who might believe the 9/11 "Truther" conspiracy theory. It is a theory that claims that our government at the time (the Bush Administration) knew ahead of time about the devastating radical Islamic attack against our nation on that horrid day of 9/11/01.

But her recent post intrigued me enough to comment about it.

Here is a copy of my comment:

The 9-11 conspiracy theory doesn't make sense to me. Popular Science magazine had a huge spread that debunked the claims that the "truthers" were spewing. Here is a post that includes a link to PS magazine's article. Plus, here's another paper that debunks one particular 9/11 conspiracy theorist's claims.

With that said, I DO think that the Dems are using such a theory (plus probably other things) to blackmail the Repubs into silence on the Obama ineligibility issue. Then again, if you read my latest post and what's written at the links, it just might reveal that both Dem and Repub progressive lawmakers don't even care if Obama's not a natural born citizen! Didn't Obama say that "it's a flawed document?" Didn't Bush once say that [the Constitution] "is just a piece of paper?" Personally, I was horrified when I heard Bush say that!

Progressivism is the disease that is infecting our government. No doubt about it! But there is only a fringe amount of people who believe the 9/11 truther conspiracy theories.

Why would Obama have hired green jobs czar Van Jones - knowing (as Glenn Beck recently exposed on his TV show) that Jones was a 9/11 truther, and then boot him (through telling him to "resign") out when the public became aware of it? Jones is still working for the administration - but in a different capacity. If Obama agreed with the truther theories, why wouldn't he have convinced Jones to stay as the green jobs czar? Was it for political expediency that he let him resign - only to keep him on "behind the scenes" with that Marxist organization (the title escapes me at the moment) Jones is currently working for?

In my opinion, the reason that 9/11 happened was because of what the Clinton administration (and that stupid Jamie Gorelick) DIDN'T do to prevent Bin Laden and his suicide/homicide terrorist crazies from carrying it out.

There are progressive Republicans out there, but I don't think that they would go along with the belief that 9/11 was an "inside job." They may agree with some of the Dem legislation, but I don't think that they want either a Marxist or Islamic takeover of our nation - even if they were bribed or threatened in some way.

If what you are claiming (about the 9/11 truthers and the conspiracy surrounding it all) is true, then our nation is in even more devastatingly dire straits and deep, deep trouble than I could have ever imagined!

The Defend Our Freedoms blogger, RepubX, had an excellent post about the fight that is going on between the Marxists and Radical Islamists for dominance in the world. THAT is the struggle that I think is currently going on here in America. Apparently (as of 3/3/10 at 7:27 a.m.PT) Repubx's site is down. However, I was able to find some archived articles.

The first one is about George Soros. He's the Marxist mastermind who helped get Obama elected by attempting to take down America's financial system.

Here is a link to past articles regarding the The War on Terror at RepubX. Their intentions have been clearly made known - to take down America (the "great satan" as they called our nation) as well as Israel (the "little satan" - as they have ignorantly labeled that nation.)

I apologize. I cannot find the original article that I read which did a great job of pitting the fight between Marxists and Muslims for the takeover and control of America. I will keep looking and perhaps I can share that link later.

Of course, this is only my opinion. But I think that the current "engagement" of the Marxists and Islamists where they have agreed to coexist and do whatever they can to destroy America will eventually fall apart. They might be working in collusion with each other for now, but in the end only one of the two probably actually believes that they are superior over the other. Thus, only one thinks that they will be able to claim an ultimately victory (God FORBID!) against our country.

I see it as similar to the struggle that went on between the Nazis and the Communists in World War II. They secretly worked together at first (as Glenn Beck's excellent historical documentary showed us a few weeks ago); but eventually they ended up fighting against each other. I think that the same thing will happen between today's Marxists (a.k.a. Communists) and Radical Islamists.

Update:

RepubX's blog is back online. Found this:

Socialism-Communism, no US Sovereignty and Islamification. Obama's big Three.

Still looking for the original article I mentioned earlier. I will have my work cut out for me. I need to scan through a LOT of posts to find the one I want.

Here's a link to my Ongoing Search Keywords: Marxists and Islam

Perhaps my regular readers recall a blog post that I shared in the past about a photo I once saw (via Zombietime's site) of a man dressed in a keffiyeh holding a sign that reads:

"Thank You S.F. Liberals - You Die Last."

Well - I finally found it!

If you haven't ventured over and viewed all of the crazy people (including Marxists, Islam sympathizers, Jew haters, Bush haters, Conservative haters, U.S. Military haters, anti-war radicals, global warming fanatics, Muslim garbed protestors, etc.), then you owe it to yourself to look at the photos taken to see what type of people were involved in all of the various protests there during the Bush Administration years. These are the type of people who are running our government now. SCARY!!!!

Zombietime

After writing this post, I thought of that man carrying that sign. Back in 2006, I thought that it was a very weird message. Today, it makes more sense than ever!

It appears that Drkatesview is an even bigger reservoir of "woo" than this blog is--and that's saying something.

Yes, of course the 9/11 truthers are correct. I've heard them talking with the few surviving Dec.7th truthers about how FDR knew the Japanese were coming, and how every decade or so, the sitting President orchestrates a disaster in order to push his internationalist agenda along...

You do know that in some corners there are people who believe that the Pentagon's earthquake machine will be used on them next, don't you?

As the old rock song went:
Paranoia strikes deep
Into your life it will creep
It starts when you're always afraid
Step out of line, The Man come and take you away

It must terrible, living like that.

Hi Christine,
You said "In my opinion, the reason that 9/11 happened was because of what the Clinton administration (and that stupid Jamie Gorelick) DIDN'T do to prevent Bin Laden and his suicide/homicide terrorist crazies from carrying it out." I am happy to use the same line of thought to say that the budget crisis this country is having is because of Bush and all the things he didn't do to prevent it. After all, since 9/11 happened while Bush was president and you blame it on the previous president, I can blame the current disaster not on President Obama, but on Bush.

How ironic, GM. I just got finished commenting to a Facebook friend because he gave me a "thumbs up" for this post over there at NetWorkedBlogs.

He is a fellow Christian believer and here is what I wrote:

I love that quote from Reagan (in the icon picture). It is what God's Word tells us all the time. Do not be afraid. And we know that evil is powerless in His presence. Such a comforting message. I thought it balanced the scary information in that post!

Making people aware of the evil that is going on in our government and in the world can be scary - but it doesn't mean that it will paralyze people into inaction or make them just wring their hands or cringe with fear.

Christians are called to share the Gospel and live our lives to the fullest because that is what Jesus told us to do.

The purpose of sharing such information is for people to get off of their butts and DO SOMETHING about what they see is going wrong in our nation. You are a former military member - can't you at least agree with that kind of sentiment?

So... I need to ask...are you comfortable with all of the Socialists, Marxists, Statists, government takeover types like SEIU leader Andy Stern, and the various Muslim sympathizers that are running around advising Resident Obama?

Christinewjc said...

Kevin,

Gary Baker has exhaustively shared all of the people who were really responsible for the economic crisis. There were more Dems than Repubs responsible - that's for sure. President Bush attempted to fix Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac several times during his presidency. When the Dems took over Congress and the Senate, they ignored all of the warnings.

I don't care to rehash all of that, but I do have a question for you. I am curious as to what you think the protester in the Muslim garb carrying the sign "Thank you S.F. Liberals - You Die Last" means?

GMpilot said...

I don't share that view.

The Reagan quote, as you indicated, is a “feel good” piece, while your avowed intention of the 'scary information' you posted was for it to be a “do good” piece. In the 1960s the nation wanted to do good, but after the turmoil of that decade and the following one, all we wanted was to feel good, and Reagan, in my opinion, was a President who made us feel good. I'm not sure just how much good was done under him, though.

What you see as going wrong in our nation isn't always the same thing other people see, either. As you remember, recently Joseph Stack decided to DO SOMETHING about how he felt about the state of the Union, yet even you denounced his actions as terroristic (which I applaud you for, BTW).

Marxists? Communists? Statists? I do not fear them; I think if they're there at all, they aren't there in the numbers you seem to believe they are. Joe McCarthy never actually uncovered a single Communist in his campaign decades ago, and today I see his “sons” in hot pursuit of an agency that spends most of its time promoting housing and business advice for low-income neighborhoods. Have they been sponsoring communes behind our backs?

”Making people aware of the evil that is going on in our government and in the world can be scary - but it doesn't mean that it will paralyze people into inaction or make them just wring their hands or cringe with fear.”

No, indeed. It might galvanize them into removing all the 'wrong' people—and then the people who associated with the wrong people—and then the acquaintances of the people who associated with the wrong people...don't laugh, that's happened before, too.
As a former military member, I was pledged to defend against both.

So, do your conspiracy theories describe the identity of the One Behind It All? Or do they intertwine with all the other ones out there, like the Pentagon's Earthquake Machine? Either way, it's still more likely to be woo than true.

Oh, one more thing. I did take the Nolan Survey, since you seemed eager for me to do so. Happy now?

GM wrote:

"I'm not sure just how much good was done under him, though."

Then I suggest that you read one of the many books written about him to find out the truth. Obviously, you have had your head in the sand regarding his accomplishments as President.

And...about that plane bomber Joe Stack. He was a leftist progressive. Just like the recent Pentagon shooter who turned out to be a 9/11 truther. A pattern appears to be developing as of late. The disgruntled individuals who hate the government and take lethal matters into their own hands are of the ideology which sides more with you. Does that make you happy?

You are going to have to elaborate a bit more on what you meant in that paragraph. I wouldn't want to take the meaning out of context. I will hold my opinion about what you wrote until you explain further.

GM asked:

"So, do your conspiracy theories describe the identity of the One Behind It All?"

You haven't been following my writings here at this blog very well since you had to ask that question.

GM also asked:

"Oh, one more thing. I did take the Nolan Survey, since you seemed eager for me to do so. Happy now?"

I read your answers. Did you make your own conclusion or was the website back online so that you could get the test answer from the site? I haven't revisited that page lately. I've been very busy.

CJW: ”I suggest that you read one of the many books written about him to find out the truth. Obviously, you have had your head in the sand regarding his accomplishments as President.”

I don't need to read about most of them—I lived through those years, just as you did. They didn't look the same from where I was as they probably did where you were.

”And...about that plane bomber Joe Stack. He was a leftist progressive. Just like the recent Pentagon shooter who turned out to be a 9/11 truther. A pattern appears to be developing as of late. No, because I'm not too keen on killing people. I don't exactly hate the government, either—I worked for it too long. I'm not like a certain US Representative who tried to make Stark into some kind of folk hero. You knew him for what he was--a domestic terrorist—and so did I. That's all I said, y'know.
If you feel you've got to DO SOMETHING, you don't have to do it that way.

”You are going to have to elaborate a bit more on what you meant in that paragraph. I wouldn't want to take the meaning out of context. I will hold my opinion about what you wrote until you explain further.”

Try something along the lines of Martin Niemoller's famous quote. You know: 'First they came for the Communists, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Communist. Then they came for the Jews...” etc.
I wasn't being that obtuse, and you're not that ignorant. Give it a shot.

”You haven't been following my writings here at this blog very well since you had to ask that question.”

Recently you fingered George Soros as The One Behind It All! You mean it's not him?
Besides, I gave you two choices, not just one, because you've become deeply immersed into the birther business, which I regard as a prime example of 'conspiracy theory'. I just wanted specifics.

”I read your answers. Did you make your own conclusion or was the website back online so that you could get the test answer from the site? I haven't revisited that page lately. I've been very busy.”

No, I did not make my own conclusion. Like all the other surveys you've posted over the years, I followed the procedure to the letter, and in that case, the letters were: A,C,A,B,A,C,A,C,C,C.
I couldn't help noticing that only you, Kevin, and I actually took the survey—and he seems to disagree with your point of view as well.
So...are you conservative enough?

Well, you can answer when you're not so busy. I'll still be around.

Hi Christine,
Was is the context for that picture? On what day was he marching? In what group of people was he and his friend in?
I can't comment on it until I know. It could be sarcastic. It could be funny. It could be serious. I don't know.

Yes, Gary gave his explanation. But I can still blame Bush for all this mess. There is absolutely no question that the economy was falling when Bush left. Because it was before Obama took office, it must be put at the feet of Bush.

Christinewjc said...

Kevin,

It is difficult to remember which protest that photo is from. I first saw it at Zombietime's page. If you go to the site, you will see a huge amount of photo-journalist pages dedicated to showing what each protest was about.

It was from one of three possibilities:

1. Anti-war rally (most likely against the Iraq war).

2. Anti-Israel, pro-Palestinian rally (this one makes the most sense.)

3. A "The World Can't Wait" rally/protest.

IMO, the "context" doesn't even need to be considered. The poster speaks volumes all by itself.

Christinewjc said...

Hey GM,

Surprise! My results revealed:

Your answers suggest that you are a libertarian. The yellow star shows more precisely where you fall within the libertarian region of the Nolan chart. It appears that I am towards the more conservative side of "libertarian."

I have been watching too much Glenn Beck! Argghhhh!

No, seriously, I DO agree somewhat with what Kevin previously wrote. The choices weren't exactly what I would have wanted to select from. But I decided to choose the best answer that matched my views from those available for selection.

I thought that my "homosexuality is an abomination" view would have labeled me a "right-wing extremist conservative" - for sure!

Ah well. Surveys are often fun for entertainment purposes - but not always very accurate.

Christinewjc said...

P.S. to Kevin,

Apparently, according to the Zombietime photographer, kaffiyehs are a symbol of terrorism.

As that link clearly demonstrates, kaffiyehs are sold to ignorant young airheads who know nothing of what they're promoting!

So, we have a choice here. The photo of the man wearing a kaffiyeh with the sign stating "Thank you S.F. liberals - you die last" is either an ignorant airhead or, he's a terrorist supporter!

Based on what is written on the sign, I'd take a guess that he was serious about that view and therefore more likely a terrorist supporter!

Interesting mix of quotes and opinions. A pity that facts and context are in short supply.

"After all, since 9/11 happened while Bush was president and you blame it on the previous president, I can blame the current disaster not on President Obama, but on Bush."

Context - There was a series of escalating attacks on US interests during the Clinton administration. He made minimal gestures at counterattack, and nothing as far as I can determine to pursue those in charge. Under Bush, pursuit of terrorist leaders became a policy and several major attack plans were detected and prevented.

"Joe McCarthy never actually uncovered a single Communist in his campaign decades ago"

A highly questionable statement, and quite irrelevant at least to the degree that there were (and probably are) communist agents engaged in espionage and activities hostile to the US from within our borders.

"I see his “sons” in hot pursuit of an agency that spends most of its time promoting housing and business advice for low-income neighborhoods."

I wonder how much time you have actually spent verifying what they really do? I also have to wonder how much corruption you are willing to overlook for an organization that pursues goals you approve of? Has it occurred to you that this lax attitude they display toward the rules set to govern the operation is causing far more damage than good?

"You know: 'First they came for the Communists, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Communist. Then they came for the Jews...” etc.
I wasn't being that obtuse, and you're not that ignorant. Give it a shot."

I did, and in a modern context. In schools and on college campuses these days, I read many more stories about people being denied their right to speak or due process because of Christian conservative leanings than because of socialist leftist leans or being Jewish or communist or most any group really. If you want to use that kind of quote, fine, but how about using it to defend people who are actually losing rights instead of groups you agree with?

Christinewjc said...

Thanks Gary! I knew that you would eventually show up and share some valuable words of wisdom!

Speaking of terrorist attacks being thwarted, I recently viewed a show that I DVR'd back in December called "Crisis." It was a fictionalized account of what could have happened if the foiled terrorist plot to blow up the transit tunnels in N.Y.C. back in 2006 was not prevented. It aired on December 30, 2009 on the TruTV channel. I tried to find a link to the show but wasn't able to find it. According to a Washington Post article the terrorists who were planning the attack were caught overseas.

The failures of the Obama administration to prevent the Ft. Hood massacre and other plots since he took office unnerves me.

Our country was MUCH safer with President Bush leading the way.

Obama's inexperience and "isolated extremist" attitude only makes Americans feel more vulnerable.

Kevin said...

Hi Gary (and Christine),
Gary, you said: "Under Bush, pursuit of terrorist leaders became a policy and several major attack plans were detected and prevented." Do you mean after 9/11 or before?
Besides--I gave the context for what I said about the economy (the banks were failing under Bush).

Unknown said...

Hi Kevin,

"Do you mean after 9/11 or before?"

Specifically after 9/11, the first major attack on America experienced on Bush's watch, as opposed to the Beirut bombing incident under Clinton, the USS Cole under Clinton, the repeated failure of enforcement of UN resolutions under Clinton, etc.

Oh, and that note about how the economy was failing when Bush left office. No, the economy was heading for recession. Again - context. The economy was also heading for recession as Clinton left office, and much worse than was realized at the time considering that a lot of the tax revenue was based on stock transactions with inflated values (see: dot-com-bust) However, even heading into a recession and even after an economic downturn resulting from the 9/11 attack, Bush's tax cuts (much maligned by the left) had revenue back above pre-9/11 levels in about a year. We are now more than a year into Obama's policies, and his great claim (probably exaggerated) is that unemployment is under 10%.

It really would be more fun Kevin if you actually understood how economic systems worked. Then again, understanding is counter to maintaining a leftist philosophy...

"Besides--I gave the context for what I said about the economy (the banks were failing under Bush)."

It was also noted under Bush by Bush and McCain. And Barney Frank, Democrat, said that everything was fine and the Dem controlled congress went along. Now, I understand that liberals have no problem indiscriminately placing blame on conservatives, but the factual context is that Bush and McCain both urged congress to act, since they are the ones regulating the financial system, and Frank and the Dems said there was no problem. They said this right until things went really bad, and then it was Bush's fault.

Kevin said...

Hi Christine,
You said " "Thank you S.F. liberals - you die last" is either an ignorant airhead or, he's a terrorist supporter!
Based on what is written on the sign, I'd take a guess that he was serious about that view and therefore more likely a terrorist supporter!"
I took a look at the context of that picture. There was an anti-Bush, anti-war rally in S.F. in 2006. This guy walked through the crowd with the sign. My guess is this guy isn't a terrorist or an air-head at all, but a Bush supporter (well, he may be an air-head for supporting Bush, but that is another topic). He is saying (at least my guess is that he is saying) that siding with Hamas and the Palestinians is a bad thing. The outcome of this will be death, and the liberals (if they are liberals!) at the protest will die as well because of their support for Hamas.

Kevin said...

Gary,
As a republican, you will do anything to save Bush from the collapse of the economy. But it doesn't hold water. We are attacked by terrorists under the watch of Bush and it is Clinton's fault. The economy has tanked under Bush and it is Obama's fault. Those Republicans sure are saints for saving us both times.

Christinewjc said...

Wow Kevin. Your "explanation" has to be one of the worst kind of spin-doctor examples that typical adherents of Alinsky's Rules for Radicals use that I have ever read!

The guy was wearing Muslim garb! How in the world could you honestly state what you just did with a straight face?

Bush supporters aren't welcome at such rallies. Just one more reason why your explanation is such a weird one.

Kevin said...

Hi Christine,
Ask yourself--why is this guy walking through a march that is in support of Hamas and the Palestinians with a poster that states these very same people who are supporting them will die as well? Why is he doing that? To me he is telling the liberals in San Francisco that because of their views (the support of the Palestinians) they will die as well. In essence he is saying "give these Palestinians and Hamas a break and they will come here and kill you as well." This can't come from an Islamic terrorist--it can come from someone who despises S.F. liberals and that can only be a few groups--including Republicans.

Besides, anyone can wear Muslim garb--but that doesn't make them a Muslim! I can think of Halloween as a good example. My idea isn't weird--it makes sense.
