Out With a Blasphemy

The popular T.V. show, Will and Grace is ending this year. That's not news. But have you heard about the controversy over an upcoming episode that blatantly mocks the crucifixion of Jesus Christ by turning it into a supposedly "humorous" parody? To make matters even worse, they are planning on airing it just before Good Friday this year!

Staying true to form, I guess there is nothing else quite like a pro-gay T.V. show going out with a disgusting and perverted blasphemy!

Many pagan, influencial people who have access to the public eye either through the media, their politically active organizations and/or high visibility (e.g. actors, commentators, editorials etc.), unfortunately couple their stance with an unfortunate and despicable habit of mocking the Person of Jesus Christ. Jesus is often their target in particular, as well as Christian believers and Christian faith, in general. Their mocking knows no bounds. We have seen it being done for political reasons, ideological reasons, social reasons, scientific elitist reasons, so-called "artistic expression" reasons, or just for plain ole' humorous reasons.

There are hundreds!

Of course, it wouldn't be practical to list them all. Ones that may be familiar to most (who watch Fox News, that is) are the urine-soaked crucifixion and feces splattered Mary painting.

If anyone might be squeamish when reading graphic content, you might want to pass on this post. It certainly isn't what any decent person would want to read. With that said, here goes.

In her book, "The Criminalization of Christianity," Janet Folger has compiled a huge amount of incidences where verbal threats and physical intimidation towards Christians have occurred. She has brilliantly exposed the tactics being used in chapters 3 - 9. Step one is ridicule. Step two is blame. Step three is to use more than just threats. Step four is censorship. And further on in the book she covers how liberal left activist judges bash Christians and legislate from the bench through lawsuits made by activists in order to further their ideologically driven agreements with these various leftist organizations.

Right now, I will just give one example from her book that corresponds with the current controversy over an upcoming episode of "Will and Grace" which blatantly mocks the crucifixion of Jesus Christ.

The subtitle of this portion of her book is, "Just like Will and Grace."

"The protesters, the phone calls, the mail, the threats - I've seen a lot I even had a stalker with a violent criminal record. But I have never seen anything like the threats and the tactics of the homosexual movement. Ever. Here's an example from ACT UP member Michael Petrelis:

We should have shut down the subway and burned down city hall. I think rioting is a valid tactic and should be tried... If someone took out [former congressmen] Jesse Helms or William Dannmeyer of California, I would be the first to stand up and applaud. 1

I had never paid much attention to the homosexual agenda or their tactics until I heard about what ACT UP (AIDS Coalition to Unleash Power) did at St. Patrick's Cathedral. You know, when they stormed in, screamed obscenities, stomped on and desecrated the Communion bread, and urinated in the church. Typical posters outside St. Patrick's Cathedral included "Get over it, Mary," "Cardinal O'Killer," and "F--- the church." 2

Nice group of fellows. Just like on Will and Grace.

U.S. News & World Report columnist John Leo describes it further: "Savage mockery of Christianity is now a conventional part of the public gay culture." Not something you're likely to hear about in the conventional press. At an ordination ceremony in Boston, for example, the Boston Globe described the protest as "colorful, loud and peaceful." What they didn't write about was the simulated anal and oral sex, the parody of Communion using condoms instead of the eucharistic host, and the mocking depiction of Jesus' Sermon on the Mount as an endorsement of sodomy. They didn't report about how ACT UP protestors swarmed around a newly ordained priest and his elderly mother, pelting them with condoms, shouting, and intimidating them. 3

Here's what Eric Pollard, the founder of that group, had to say about his tactics:

"I shall torture you during the daytime, and will keep you from a peaceful sleep at night." 4

In Madison, Wisconsin, four hundred homosexual activists stormed the Trinity Evangelical Fellowship Church, where Scott Lively was speaking. While they shouted obscenitites and slogans inside the church for nearly an hour, some of the protestors urinated and defecated on the floor. Hundreds of others banged on the outer walls and windows with rocks and trach-can lids, shouting, "Crush the Christians!" and "Bring back the lions!" 5

There is so much more that I could share, but one story, in particular was so grievous that I need to include it here.

"Fired for Disagreeing"

"Former firefighter Ron Greer can relate. I say former because after serving eighteen years on the Madison Fire Department, Greer was fired by a lesbian fire chief for his stand against homosexuality. While pornography was perfectly acceptable, apparently biblical pamphlets were not - especially those that disagree with the homosexual agenda. His pamphlet stated: "God is love. He is also Holy.... There is nothing loving about letting homosexuals slide into eternal damnation unresisted." 6

Even though his eighteen-year service was exemplary, his Christian beliefs led to a pink slip, a vandalized house, and a yard filled with pink triangle. Pink triangle stickers, most with graphic sexual references, were pasted on the walls and windows of his home, signs were screwed into the porch and pounded into the yard, and a banner was stretched across his porch with slogans like: "Welcome to Fag City, USA," "Wisconsin Lesbians Against Greer," and "WE want you, Ronnie." 7

Greer is also very familiar with the "Bring back the lions!" shouts. That exhibition of "tolerance" took place at his church, where homosexual activists blocked the entrance (something that would have warranted federal intervention had it occurred at an abortion facility) and stormed the church. They were outnumbered by ten to one the forty church memers who were courageous enough to run the hostile gauntlet to get to a pew. 8 "

One more.

Did you hear about the family of Chuck and Donna McIlhenny who got a taste of fascist tactics after the San Francisco Presbyterian church he pastors fired a homosexual organist?

In their book When the Wicked Seize a City, 9 they describe what it is like to be the object of this kind of "tolerance." To summarize, the harrassment included objects thrown through the church windows, swastikas carved in church doors and drawn on their home, car windows smashed, anti-Christian, pro-gay leaflets scattered in the neighborhood calling them Nazis, bigots, anti-gay etc.; continual verbal threats, phonecalls which included screaming obscenities; threats to perform deviant sexual behavior on their children before killing them; and even threatening to burn the house down with the family inside!

Janet states, "You'd be hard pressed to find another group as intolerant, intimidating ,and violent. Except for maybe those Brownshirts in 1939. Before you bring a hate crimes charge against me, I'm not the one who suggested that ACT UP members use Mein Kampf as a working model. Eric Pollard did. He's the guy who founded Act-Up D.C."

Pollard did, eventually, regret his past actions and tactics and even wrote an article entitled, "Time to Give Up Fascist Tactics."

Good start. But have any of the others in that terrible organization renounced their despicable acts?

Now, before readers here become enraged that I even posted all of this, I will tell you that I KNOW that the average gay man or woman would not approve of or even remotely relate to such subversive tactics. But many of the activists often do! That is the whole point of this post. To expose what lengths homosexual activists will take to ridicule, blame, threaten, bash, censor and ultimately achieve the criminalization for what Christians believe.

Is it now obvious why the homosexual producers/creators of the next episode of Will and Grace would so blatantly blaspheme Jesus Christ and insult, hurt and ridicule Christian believers? It is their mantra!

But why? Why is that?

I can't think of any other religion that is targeted in such a way by gay activists. There are plenty of other religions that also profess that homosexual behavior is sinful, unhealthy, a form of idolatry, against God's purpose and design in marriage, a perverted form of sexuality and a dangerous threat to family stability. So, why is Christianity the only religion that they target?

The Bible is filled with reasons why.

I will come back and list these reasons either today or tomorrow. But for now, anyone who would like to comment on what has already been written, please feel free to do so.

Please try to remain calm and respectful. I know that this subject always elicits strong responses from both sides, but let's try to keep the personal attacks down and get down to the nitty gritty regarding the issue at hand and the questions posed.
