ADF Senior Vice-President Jeff Ventrella to Appear on History Channel Ten Commandments Program Wednesday and Thursday Nights…
When ADF opened its doors for business on January 31,1994, we were given a charge by our founders to “reclaim, defend, and protect our First Liberty – religious freedom.”
In order to be successful, we knew that we needed to have the strategy, training, coordination, and funding to win in the legal courtroom. But we also knew that we had to win in the courtroom of public opinion, and we have made great efforts toward public legal and constitutional education.
To that end, this Wednesday and Thursday nights (April 12th and 13th), ADF Senior Vice-President Jeff Ventrella (left) will be featured in a two-day special on The History Channel on the history and importance of the Ten Commandments.
The two programs will air at 8 p.m. Eastern and Pacific, 7 p.m. Central and Mountain.
In the program, Jeff will be discussing each of the commandments, the role they have played in the formation of our Constitution, and their continued relevance to our laws today. He also talks about the ramifications for our society if the recognition of the Ten Commandments were to be removed from society (as the ACLU and its allies would like them to be).
During the special, when asked why the commandments are an active part of American law today, Jeff comments: “There is a common good, a set of principles and laws that we need to live together peaceably in a society and the Ten Commandments informs us on how to do that…I think it’s a good idea to post these Ten Commandments because it affirms the common good. It affirms that we are a religious people whose institutions presuppose a supreme being and it also affirms that there is a law higher than our laws.”
We praise God for this opportunity for Jeff to boldly proclaim His Truth to our nation. Please tune in Wednesday and Thursday nights!
