Talk Wisdom's goal is to defend the tenets and values of Biblical Christian faith. We defend our Constitutional Republic and Charters of Freedom, especially when speaking out against destructive social and political issues. As followers of our Savior and Lord, we should boldly stand up for Jesus Christ in our present circumstances. He is our Savior, Lord, and King, and His love needs to be shed abroad in our hearts and in our world - now.

On Our 23rd Wedding Anniversary!
Celebrating 23 years of marriage on October 23, 2006!!
Taking our vows of love and commitment before God, family and friends!
Thank you Limpy and Jaded for your kind words! We celebrated by having dinner together at a restaurant we hadn't been to before. Great food!!
I will probably have to delete the pictures later when I get back from Bible study class. They didn't fit well in the posting box and that post is now making all my new posts drop down too far on the front page of the blog. I'm just not that tech savvy to fix it, either! lol
Jaded, early congrats on your 11th anniversary in December! What day did you get married?
May you, your husband, and your daughter continue in happiness and the blessings of the Lord!
Our anniversary is December 9th. We got married at 6 PM, so the church was lit up and beautifully decorated for Christmas. I think it made the day even more special because we sharing the sanctuary with the celebration of Christ's birth. It was truly lovely.
I'm glad you and your husband had a nice dinner. My husband and I often celebrate our anniversary the very same way...dinner at a new restaurant! We've done that for almost every anniversary.
Congrats Miss Christine! I hope you had a wonderful day!
Lots of love from myself and Irene.
BTW, I just picked up Susan Smith from the airport! She is staying with us for a week. Miss Lucy arrives tomorrow, also for a week.
All of the evangelists are flying in for our "Remembering Jerusalem" celebration this weekend at our new church, Heavenly Hope Christian Church. I took the Pastor plunge in September.
Well...getting older is better than the alternative...isn't it? That's what my daughter tells me whenever I complain about it. ha ha
Got a lot to do for the Lord here in "the greatest nation on God's green earth," as Michael Medved says in his radio show sign-off! Then it's eternity time with Jesus!
Sometimes I don't like trying new restaurants unless they are recommended by someone who has already been there.
While at a business conference in Whistler, British Columbia this past August, Charlie and I went to a restaurant during our free day to celebrate his birthday. It served good tasting food...but I don't think the portions would have filled the stomach of a bird! ha ha
While looking at the directory in the village square, a lady came up to us and asked if she could help us find what we were looking for. She said she is a former tour guide and she recommended that restaurant to us. I think she was a "plant" for that restaurant's owners! You know...she was probably sent out to get some dumb Americans to eat at that overpriced, bird-portioned place!
It's ok though. We laughed about it afterwards. Went to two other restaurants later in the week that were fabulous!
On another subject, I'm sure you have noticed the continuing controversy over Madonna's abrupt adoption of the little boy. The father was apparently illiterate and didn't understand what that word "adoption" really meant! I wonder what will happen now?
Wow! Sounds like you have taken on a fabulous endeavor for the Lord! Pastor of a new church! How nice that Susan (hi to my sis in Christ!) and Lucy (would love to meet her some day!) could join you to remember your trip to Jerusalem and celebrate the opening of your new church. Great name, btw!
I have had the word "hope" on my mind recently. A fellow Bible study member is creating stretchy, lettered bracelets that say HOPE in block letters with a Scripture reference on them! I asked her to make a bunch for me to give out with the candy on Halloween!
Each year, I attempt to "reclaim Halloween for the Lord." I've given out tracts and Bible verses attached to the candy in the past. I got this idea from CBN and this year, I want to print up a prayer:
Dear Visitor,
I open my door and offer you and your loved ones two "treats." The first is this BIG candy bar, and the second is a prayer in my heart. I pray that God’s blanket of protection would be over so many little children on Halloween night.
Lord, may this year on Halloween night be one that is hallowed, a holy night to lift up your name and bless your little children all over the world.
In Jesus Christ's name I pray, Amen
The bracelets would be welcomed by the girls, but I just need to come up with an extra gift for the boys! We get a lot of teens at our door. Any ideas?
God bless you, Irene and those cute kids of yours!
I've got the perfect idea!! Give me a call. If you're willing to pick up the freight charges, I'll send you a couple hundred www.PrideAndPeace.com wristbands for free as our gift to you.
They have nothing to do with our regular ministry, but everything to do with sharing the Gospel. All kids young and old would love the wristbands.
Just call me tomorrow (THU) and I can send them out overnight to you. They're "wearable" tracts!
Visit the website to find out a bit more.
Our love to all and I'll tell Susan and Lucy you said hi!
