Seattle – “The new website launched today, intelligentdesign.org, provides people searching for information about intelligent design (ID) online an easy way to access the leading ID websites,” says Robert Crowther, director of communications for the Center for Science & Culture at Discovery Institute. Discovery Institute is hosting the new site on its servers.*******
According to Crowther, intelligentdesign.org is not a Discovery Institute focused website, but rather a site that highlights the websites owned and operated by a number of pro-ID organizations, scientists and scholars, such as the Intelligent Design Network, Access Research Network, and Uncommondescent.com.
One of the main resources at intelligentdesign.org is a list of ID FAQs maintained by different ID organizations. Defining what intelligent design theory is all about is an important function of the site, which Crowther hopes will help to counter the many misrepresentations of the theory that can be found online.
“Unfortunately, people who search for information about intelligent design on the internet are often finding only websites that attack the theory and give out false definitions and explanations of what it is,” said Crowther. “We wanted to provide a site that would lead people to accurate information about what the theory of intelligent design is, and what sorts of scientific and scholarly research is being done by design proponents.”

Although home destroyed, KJV Bible survives CA wildfires.
SAN DIEGO – A 1934 King James Bible that survived the wildfires was purchased on eBay for $1,025.
The Bible, singed but whole, was all that remained of the home and possessions of commercial photographer Robert Sanders and his family in Rancho Bernardo after fire swept through on Oct. 22.

Good movie: Bella - read review.
BELLA is an amazing movie. The ending of BELLA will bring tears to many eyes. The acting is superb. BELLA also contains positive prayers, positive statements about God, and wonderful pro-life, allegorical elements. It is not preachy or off-putting, but delightful, winsome and lyrical.

Terrible movie: The Golden Compass
Will your child "find his own demon??"
ICK!!!
The dark spirits encircling this movie, as with the books, are palpable and will eat our young alive. If you love God and your children, don't dishonor Him and confuse them. Keep children away from "The Golden Compass."

Oh great...once again, Oprah leads people astray spiritually.
"Oprah and Friends" To Teach Course on New Age Christ.
Oprah Winfrey’s misplaced faith in Marianne Williamson and the New Age teachings of A Course in Miracles is a sure sign of the times. But an even surer sign of the times is that most Christians are not taking heed to what is happening in the world and in the church. We are not contending for the faith as the Bible admonishes us to do (Jude 3). It is time for all of our Purpose-Driven and Emerging church pastors to address the real issue of the day. Our true Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ is being reinvented, redefined, and blasphemed right in front of our eyes and hardly anyone seems to notice or care. If we want the world to know who Jesus Christ is, we need to also warn them about who He is not. There is a false New Age “Christ” making huge inroads into the world and into the church. The Apostle Paul said that “it is a shame” we have to even talk about these things, but talk about them we must (Ephesians 5:12-16).
If people want to follow Oprah Winfrey and the New Age “Christ” of A Course in Miracles they certainly have that right. But let them be warned that the New Age “Christ” they are following is not the same Jesus Christ who is so clearly and authoritatively presented in the pages of the Bible.

Sexual "revolution" ideas of the loonie Freudian left led to social pathology that has claimed many victims.
FAILURES ARE MANY
Our schools have not failed merely in their duty to teach young people the knowledge needed for physical and moral health. By teaching dangerously flawed views about sex, and by facilitating harmful and illegal acts, our public schools now actively participate in the corruption of our youth.According to Reich, the path to a better world lies through the loosening of sexual morality -- in others words, a sexual revolution.
Admittedly, all this sounds too mystifyingly evil to be true. But Reich went further. He claimed that sexual energy is the force which governs and sustains the world, and is worthy of honor for creating all that exists. For Reich, sex is God.
In the practical realm, Reich advocated lowering the age of consent to 12, in order to remove the harmful effects of the authoritarian family. Even more shocking is his claim that "The legalization of abortion implicitly contains an affirmation of sexual pleasure."
Apart from the evidence of Reich's own life, there can be no mistaking that the ideas of the Freudian Left have been a dismal failure.
A RISING TOTAL
Every revolution claims its innocent victims. Among the victims of the sexual revolution we can count the victims of child sexual abuse, sexual violence against women, and the 45 million victims of abortion.
Hi Chris:
ReplyDeleteGood site. The happenings of today are certainly evidence that Christ may be very close to calling us home. I am pleased should that be the case.
Personally I have been working diligently to make sure that my bros. and sisters are aware of where we are heading. Keeping them alerted to the movies you have mentioned and to the Emerging Church and it's heretical teachings.
This EMC is one of the most dangerous movements that we have ever known. Mind you I said "one of". The homosexual movement and the education reform are extremely dangerous and they are making headway.
Most of the headway is due to gross ignorance in the church as to how viscious any of there are.
God has taken His hand of protection off the USA for the most part because of our choices in kicking Him out. We are in deep trouble Chris.
My heart see's Oprah Winfrey as a very spiritually confused woman. Her heart of helps is wonderful and it is hard to say anything negative about anyone who is so giving and loving as she is.
Truth must rule the day though. Oprah is not saved and on her way to glory because if she were, she would see through the likes of some of her guests. She has here touted the works of one with an anti christy spirit. There is no gray, Chris, it is black or white for or against Christ.
Keep up the great work to the glory of God.
Oh yes Chris I wanted to ask have you read this? It goes along with what you have said here concerning our government Schools:
ReplyDeleteAT THE ROOT OF EDUCATION REFORM

This will definitely confirm what you have seen.
Hi Jan,
ReplyDeleteWelcome to Talk Wisdom! I appreciated all that you wrote!
I am especially glad when I hear of more Christian Culture "warriors" who are willing to take the time to show fellow brothers and sisters in Christ where we are headed if we don't speak out against the evil and heresies out there in the secular humanistic and pagan world.
I agree with what you said about Oprah. She has certainly done many marvelous temporally-valued things for other people. No one can take that away from her.
However, I fear that her current state of residing in spiritual oblivion (e.g. Deepak Chopra) is heading so many of her minions of admirers in the wrong direction.
People who do not know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and haven't a clue about what the Bible teaches are very vulnerable to heretical teachings.
People are always looking for someone (or something) to believe in. The trouble is, if they follow a fallible man or woman, even if he (she) is sincere, the fact is that he (she) can be seriously and severely wrong.
I will check out that article you recommended. God knows how messed up our public education system has become!! No wonder more and more Christian parents are choosing to homeschool each and every year!
God bless you and keep up the good work!
In Christ,
Christine
Saw the movie Bella last night. It was so great to finally see a movie that was so moving (and a tear-jerker...to say the least!) with many positive and uplifting messages!
ReplyDeleteI thought it was very well acted, too!
