O'Reilly Disappoints Re: Obama

Last evening on "The O'Reilly Factor," Bill had a segment regarding the bloggers "buzz" going around the internet that Barack Obama has Muslim roots. Unfortunately, the woman he had on for commentary about this agreed with O'Reilly that the Obama Muslim ties are just "email and blogging rumors."

I totally disagree with that assertion! However, she has a right to say what she believes. So does O'Reilly. But it doesn't make their beliefs correct.

I suspect that ever since O'Reilly's brief encounter with Obama during that "don't block the shot" camera incident at an Obama rally, Bill doesn't want to say anything negative about the man. Why? For one reason. He wants to get an interview with him on the Factor.

So, the "No Spin Zone" has now, apparently, become purposefully blinded to certain details about Obama just to get the man on the show?

Pathetic!

What's even MORE pathetic was Chris Matthews on Jay Leno last night. I only saw a brief portion of the show, but when I tuned in, Matthews was absolutely fawning over Barack while describing his visit to an Obama rally. The supposedly "neutral" news reporter was going absolutely ga-ga over Obama! It was like he was in a guru-type trance over the guy! In fact, he went so far as to describe being at one of Obama's rallies as a "positive spiritual experience."

Oh boy...THAT'S NOT GOOD! Have newsmen gone crazy or what? These news analysts are under some kind of spell over this man! O'Reilly has inadvertently sipped his own Kool-Aid and Matthews drank an entire barrel!

My regular readers here will be so thrilled to learn that I have found even more disturbing articles and blog posts about Obama. OK. You can all groan at once and get it over with.

Personally, I think that all of this information must get out there so that people are well-informed before they vote. I know that there are liberal lurkers and undecideds who occasionally visit here. If even just a few people who originally were leaning towards voting for Obama change their minds, and decide to spread the word to warn others, then it is worth it to me that I continue to gather this information and post it.

"What I found interesting in the article was the use of the word 'mengaku' when refering to Obama's conversion from Islam to Christianity. The word 'mengaku' in Indonesian means "claimed" and as such leaves the insinuation to the native Indonesian reader being that Obama might actually still be a Muslim. But this is how Indonesians see Obama, they don't see him as an apostate at all, they see him as a crusader for the cause of Islam."
