Talk Wisdom's goal is to defend the tenets and values of Biblical Christian faith. We defend our Constitutional Republic and Charters of Freedom, especially when speaking out against destructive social and political issues. As followers of our Savior and Lord, we should boldly stand up for Jesus Christ in our present circumstances. He is our Savior, Lord, and King, and His love needs to be shed abroad in our hearts and in our world - now.
I just got called for one of those 45 second election polls this morning!
ReplyDeleteI am certainly going to keep all of Reagan's great quotes in mind when I enter into the voting booth on Feb. 5th!!
My favorite?
Too hard to choose!
However, these three have helped me choose the candidate that I will vote for:
"Here’s my strategy on the Cold War: We win, they lose."
"No arsenal, or no weapon in the arsenals of the world, is so formidable as the will and moral courage of free men and women."
"It has been said that politics is the second oldest profession. I have learned that it bears a striking resemblance to the first. Government’s view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it."
Classic and timeless quotes! Thanks for the reminders.
ReplyDeleteI knew Reagan was good at the time, I just didn't realize how good he was and how bad our choices would be today.
My friend was telling me that she thought she was going to vote for McCain (even I considered it - until I read his voting record and learned more about him from Mark Levin's radio program); until she saw the last debate. McCain came off as a pompous a_ _! War hero or not, he's a liberal RINO ...and an angry, crabby old one at that!
ReplyDeleteChristine, these quotes are awesome. I actually thought about doing this on my own blog but hadn't gotten around to collecting enough quotes yet. I love it.

There are a lot more!
ReplyDeleteHere are some more good ones:
