Obama: Hopemongerer in chief

There are plenty of blogs that are sharing disturbing information regarding Barack Obama. One of the best articles and "roundups" of links has to be over at Wolf Howling.

Notice the cartoon sketch at the top of the page!

Obamamania is sweeping the secular left in the form of a messianic cult. Here is a round-up and some thoughts.

The author there created an ironic new title for Obama - "hopemongerer in chief."

I thought that this excerpt was particularly revealing:

As to the point Bookwormroom makes in her first paragraph, at the American Thinker blog, one individual wrote:

. . . Obama's speeches remind me of the sermons given by a preacher at one of those mega churches. They give feel good sermons using words like change and hope. Now a lot of conservatives go to church on a regular basis and they hear oratory like Obama gives all the time and they wonder what all the fuss is about. A lot of liberals on the other hand don't go to church and they have never heard "sermons" like this before and it really affects them emotionally. . . .

Charles Krauthammer writes:

"We are the hope of the future," sayeth Obama. We can "remake this world as it should be." Believe in me and I shall redeem not just you but your country -- nay, we can become "a hymn that will heal this nation, repair this world, and make this time different than all the rest."
(bold mine)

Remind you of anyone? Jim Jones perhaps?

Update: The Right Truth shares an email from an Obama supporter:

Out of the blue this morning, I received the following email from an Obama supporter. I had to share. Spelling etc. are exactly as I received the email. Her last name and email address are being withheld for obvious reasons:

I love the fact that people like you are on your knees with your mouth wide open.
OH OH OH NO! What has happened!

Suck on the truth you have always wanted an educated good looking black man now didn't you.

This country has had enough of your white right GWBS>)

Good buy and good riddence.

Patti

Makes you want to go out and vote Obama, doesn't it? NOT. If this is the quality of Obama supporters, we are in for real trouble. Should I reply to this email, and if so what should I say? Or should I simply put in where it belongs in the trash can?

More from Krauthammer:

. . . Interestingly, Obama has been able to win these electoral victories and dazzle crowds in one new jurisdiction after another, even as his mesmeric power has begun to arouse skepticism and misgivings among the mainstream media.

ABC's Jake Tapper notes the "Helter-Skelter cult-ish qualities" of "Obama worshipers," what Joel Stein of the Los Angeles Times calls "the Cult of Obama." Obama's Super Tuesday victory speech was a classic of the genre. Its effect was electric, eliciting a rhythmic fervor in the audience -- to such rhetorical nonsense as "We are the ones we've been waiting for. (Cheers, applause.) We are the change that we seek."

That was too much for Time's Joe Klein. "There was something just a wee bit creepy about the mass messianism," he wrote. "The message is becoming dangerously self-referential. The Obama campaign all too often is about how wonderful the Obama campaign is."

. . . Obama has an astonishingly empty paper trail. He's going around issuing promissory notes on the future that he can't possibly redeem. Promises to heal the world with negotiations with the likes of Iran's president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Promises to transcend the conundrums of entitlement reform that require real and painful trade-offs and that have eluded solution for a generation. Promises to fund his other promises by a rapid withdrawal from an unpopular war -- with the hope, I suppose, that the (presumed) resulting increase in American prestige would compensate for the chaos to follow.

Obama and his followers have absolutely no clue as to the vileness and evil of the Islamofascist terrorist enemy. Indeed. If he is elected president - chaos would follow.

What kind of chaos? Here's one horrendous example. I am placing a link to a blog that has an actual, uncut video of a 12-year old Taliban boy beheading a hostage.

American Power blog: Strongest Possible Content Warning!

I couldn't even look at it. Had to turn my eyes away at the first sign of blood. Just reading the details there made me sick to my stomach.

I apologize, in advance, if you have chosen to view the video and it has seriously disturbed you. I can't see how it wouldn't!!!

So...why did I post the link? Because I absolutely believe that Americans need to wake up...especially the Kool-aid drinking Obama supporters on the left. If it takes a disgusting video like this to do...then so be it!

Obama would not lead our country to victory in Iraq. He has stated this himself. Thus, the terrorists would view it as American weakness and claim a victory for their evil deeds.

The naive, hopemongerer in chief ideology of Obama would be absolutely disasterous for our nation...as well as the entire world!

    Obama Gay Sex Allegations

No one seems to know whether the allegations are true or not.

Found this comment astonishing...to say the least...if it's true??

There is nothing about this man's testimony that rings true to my ears. Matter of fact, it's so contrived I wouldn't put it past being a plant by the DNC or Obama supporters so they can make the right wing look racist.

Wow! A gay man does a video about having sex with Obama in a Limo and someone thinks that Obama's people have found a way to blame the right wing for it and make them appear racist?

    Wow...now I'm really confused!

  2. The video is horrible...agreed.

However, perhaps if "The Worst President Ever" had finished the job in Afganistan before launching an illegal war of choice in Irag we wouldn't even be talking about this.

As far as your Obama Gay Sex propoganda...it's just "swift-boating" nothing more, nothing less. You say "No one seems to know whether the allegations are true or not.", but you sure seem to take a lot of pleasure posting it. I guess it's a good way to get the fundies worked up isn't it?

Sorry, but this is just despicable

  3. John,

I have found that attempting to educate the Bush haters is just a waste of time.

The video shows how the Taliban train children, as young as 12 years old, to be suicide bombers, "infidel" head decapitators, and think that they are doing it all to the glory of their god (false god) Allah!!

    That is despicable.

Just like the Kamikazee suicide pilots from Japan in the 40's, it's going to take a lot of time to eliminate the brainwashing propaganda being instilled by the Taliban into Muslim youths - through training them to be today's murderers.

Your naive to think that the present administration could achieve that in 8 years.

    About the Obama sex tape.

I don't think that you even understand why I posted it, or, even more importantly, WHAT I actually posted!

    Here it is again:

There is nothing about this man's testimony that rings true to my ears. Matter of fact, it's so contrived I wouldn't put it past being a plant by the DNC or Obama supporters so they can make the right wing look racist.
(I bolded the important part for clarity.)

Notice that the commenter agreed with your assertion that the gay man in the video probably isn't telling the truth.

Next, notice what he states about it possibly being released (by Obama camp supporters) in and effort to demonize the right "wing" conservatives through making it appear that it their (the right wing) fault that it was released!! Add on the idea that it was racially motivated too, and bingo! You've got another "Obama's being attacked by the conservatives" story.

BTW, Thanks for proving my point.

I wonder if Obama will adopt Hillary's old saying:

    "The Vast Right Wing Conspiracy?"

    Nah...wouldn't do it.

  4. Christine,
Conservatives partly have themselves to blame on some of this. If you listen to talk radio, or read some of the Conservative articles and such, you will have seen where they have been so rabidly anti-Hillary (and I'm not defending her in any way shape or form) that they came across almost as if they liked Obama. They were also so sure that Hillary would get the nomination, that the paid little or no attention to Obama for a long time, which allowed him to gain a lot of support, unchallenged, and now, his mommentum is nearly unstoppable.

Of course, the same thing happened on the GOP side, we were all so sure that McCain didn't have a chance that we pretty well ignored him, which allowed him to get organized and become a powerful force before the rest of us realized what was going on.

Unfortunately, telling people the truth seldom gets them to do the right thing. If you tell the truth about someone, and where they stand, and what it would mean for the nation, you are accused of bashing them, or picking on them, or being racist, or sexist, or whatever else. (In McCains case am I age-ist???? I'm just so confused!!!)

  5. Matt,

You are correct. One "conservative" radio show host actually said that he might become convinced to vote for Obama over McCain!!! I nearly spit out my coffee all over the dashboard of my car!

I also think that once all of the negative FACTS about Obama come out, many of the currently clueless minions who have been following him will quietly fall away.

The debates between Obama and McCain will be the clincher.

It's still a longgg time 'til November!

  6. Obama Campaign: Mum's the Word

WASHINGTON – For the second day in a row, the Barack Obama campaign has refused to respond to requests for comment on a Minnesota man's allegations he shared cocaine with Obama in 1999, when the man who now is a contender for the Democratic nomination for president was a state lawmaker in Illinois.

Yesterday, the campaign declined to respond to telephone calls. Today, the campaign's "Communications Team" acknowledged receiving an e-mail request from WND but did not answer the questions about the allegations.

"Thank you so much for your interview request," said the automatic response. "It is now in our system and our communications team will follow-up with you when we have a better idea of your request's status. We understand the difficulties a delay in response may cause and certainly appreciate your patience," the Obama campaign e-mail said.

"We will touch base with you as soon as we have an update," it continued.

It was signed "Communications Team Obama for America."

I neglected to emphasize the following reason why this man has come forward with these allegations. As you will see, it has less to do with the sexual encounter and more to do with his concern that Obama lied about his drug usage being limited to his teen years. Apparently, he still used drugs in 1999 when he was an Illinois senator.

"My motivation for making this public is my desire for a presidential candidate to be honest," Sinclair told WND by telephone. "I didn't want the sex thing to come out. But I think it is important for the candidate to be honest about his drug use as late as 1999."

If this type of news came out against any Republican candidate, it would be all over the MSM news!!

The silence from the MSM regarding this man's allegations is absolute proof that they want to censor anything that might ruin Obama's reputation.

However, they were all over the gay sex/drug stories of Mark Foley, Larry Craig, and former pastor Ted Haggard.

    What's wrong with this picture???

    Bias!!! Extreme bias!!!

Plus, one must wonder why the Obama campaign didn't come right out and deny the allegations if they aren't true.

Sinclair is willing to submit to a polygraph test to prove his allegations are true. After that, perhaps we will know whether or not he is telling the truth or if this whole thing is just a publicity stunt.

One man has had his suspicions about this case all along:

There is nothing about this man's testimony that rings true to my ears. Matter of fact, it's so contrived I wouldn't put it past being a plant by the DNC or Obama supporters so they can make the right wing look racist.

We shall see if WND and Whitehouse.com took the bait.

  7. One must question the judgment of this man.

    Read this.

They include a liberal voting record that could be spun to scary levels for people tuning in to the general election this fall. Already he's being portrayed as an irresponsible tax-and-spend socialist.

But it could be some of Obama's associations in Illinois that provide the most trouble, including his relationship with Tony Rezko, a Chicago developer who raised funds for the former Illinois state legislator.

Rezko, who faces trial next month on charges of fraud, attempted extortion and money laundering that will keep him in the public eye, was also involved in the purchase of Obama's family home.

While Obama hasn't been accused of any wrongdong involving Rezko and has given his contributions to charity, the businessman's name continues to surface among conservatives and others who question the candidate's judgment.

Clinton raised the issue during a televised debate last month, accusing Obama of providing legal services to Rezko, whom she called a "slum landlord."

"We still don't have answers about Senator Obama and his dealings with Mr. Rezko," Clinton also said last week.

In June 2005, Obama used money from a book advance to buy a $1.65 million Georgian revival home on Chicago's south side for $300,000 less than the asking price.

On the same day, Rezko, who was under federal investigation at the time, bought the adjacent empty lot at the asking price from the same owner and sold a slice of it to Obama early the next year to enlarge his yard.

"There's no doubt that this was a mistake on my part," Obama has said. "Boneheaded would be accurate. There's no doubt I should have seen some red flags in terms of me purchasing a piece of property from him."

The couple who sold the home to Obama said his offer was the best one they had and they didn't cut it because Rezko bought the adjacent land.

Obama could also face difficulties over his relationship with William Ayers, a University of Illinois professor and former member of a left-wing terrorist group that planted bombs in U.S. federal buildings in the 1970s.

Ayers served with Obama on the board of the Woods Fund, an antipoverty group, from 1999 to 2002, and donated money to his 2001 Illinois state Senate campaign.
