Best TEA Party Protest Signs

Nice Deb has shared a video which displays some of the best signs at the Dallas TEA Party Protest! Which is YOUR favorite? Can you guess which one is my favorite?

Best TEA Party Protest Signs

Hat tip:

Nice Deb

*******
P.S. I would be remiss if I didn't comment on Obama's latest stupidity. In a post by Euripides of Self-Evident Truths blog he humorously wrote:

Cover Up
White House staff asked Georgetown University to cover up the name of Jesus that appeared on a stage where President Obama gave a speech. (CNS News) Apparently Obama, nor his staff wanted the televised speech to have any symbols that would (choose one): a) connect Obama with Christianity; b) connect Obama with any religion whatsoever; or c) upstage the media concept that Obama is the Messiah.

Can you just imagine a worse faux pas by our Resident Commander-in-thief?

Do we need any more proof that this person is a either a Muslim or atheist pretending to be a Christian??

So, what does the Lord probably think of all of this?

We can get a glimpse from His Word:

Psa 2:4 The One enthroned in heaven laughs; the Lord scoffs at them.

Psa 37:13 but the Lord laughs at the wicked, for he knows their day is coming.

Yep...

  1. So, The Day is done.
I watched reports on CBS, ABC, MSNBC, and yes, even FOX. (Yes, I fumigated the TV afterwards.)
I even went to the official website afterwards for the post-mortem. Mostly, though, I watched the clips, and looked at the photos.
Of course I read the signs people carried...and I drank in the words thereon:

HostiliTEA--there was a lot of that. Mostly it was against the stimulus plan itself, and against the Democrats for implementing it, even THOUGH it had been approved seven months ago by the previous Congress, and drafted by the previous Administration.
But there was more; a goodly number of those chanting the Republican mantra of "tax cuts". A number of anti-Obama signs, many of the "Show us your birth certificate!" variety.
There were a number of small children at the rallies, representing the future that was supposedly being stolen from them. One boy's sign said "I'm only 9 years old and I'm already $36,000 in debt". Of course, Iraq and Afghanistan probably had something to do with that figure, because we've had troops in Afghanistan almost as long as he's been alive.
At least one white supremacist group was spotted, feeding off the paranoia and fear of that radical, atheist, socialist Nazi Muslim Kenyan (Indonesian) Negro currently residing at the White House.

PerplexiTEA was in abundance. Were they there to emulate the original Boston Tea Partyers, who were protesting the monopoly (and excessive tax) of imported tea by the East India Company? Were they there to hint darkly about secession, as Gov. Perry of Texas did? (Let 'em--Texas, along with the whole former Confederacy, suck up the Federal dollars while the Northeast--and you too, California--contribute the dollars they feed on.)

CelebriTEA washed over the crowds. Faux News' Strikeforce was all over the map like stink on garbage, and in addition to Gov. Rick Perry, other lights such as Alan Keyes attended. So did serial groom Newt Gingrich. But the founders of this 'grassroots' movement--Dick Armey in particular--were nowhere to be seen.
Glenn Beck thought that The Alamo was a symbolic place to show up, and although he'd asked his name to be removed from prominent display, the word got around anyway. I can understand his...reasoning(?), but not his choice. Doesn't he know the Texans lost at the Alamo?

InsaniTEA was, of course, the beverage of the day. (Not Kool-Aid(R), sorry.) Poisoned Kool-Aid will only kill you; insaniTEA makes you want to drink it.
But it serves well to wash out the taste of crow.

There was supposed to be a "teabagging" of Lafayette Park, but it never came off (and not because of the rain). Then it was supposed to be at the Treasury Building--that went bust, too. Why? Because no one thought to obtain a permit. Then some genius decided to throw a box of tea over the White House fence, which only succeeded in briefly locking down the area by the Secret Service.
Whaddaya call this? StupidiTEA, of course!

So...how many people attended, in total? Across the country there were an estimated 260,000 people in attendance, with the largest event around 7,000. For comparison, that's about as many as were killed by the December 2004 South Asian tsunami.
23 segments and 73 on-the-air promotions for this 'event' were made on Fox over an eight-day period before April 14, and this was the best they got?? Remind me never to try and market my products there!
I'd guess many of those who might have gone were at work...trying to make sure their jobs didn't disappear from under them because they decided to teabag that day.

That only leaves one more flavor---RealiTEA. Bitter, ain't it?

“At any rate I'll never go there again!” said Alice as she picked her way through the wood. “It’s the stupidest tea-party I ever was at in all my life!”

  2. Wow gmpilate.
As long as it took you to regurgitate that pack of lies and deceit you could have done something much more useful for someone else.
I have a new found pity for you. All of your simple minded arguments seem to come from the Alinsky school of 'hate America' collectivism.
I hope you don't leak on to any family you may have but then again you just may deserve each other and save at least two other people by remaining together.
I will pray for you as you so desperately need.

Do yourself and the rest of us a favor, google Susan Boyle and watch a seven minute video of what could be the best lesson of this decade.
    ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9lp0IWv8QZY ) here's the link.
    Compassion.
    Love the Lord.
    Love your neighbor.
    Always.
Regardless of what you THINK you see.

I really do not understand your kind who wish to bring such ugliness upon others.

Is that all you have to offer?

As for my sign at the Tea Party in Denver...
    Obama and congress:
The Constitution was written to protect us FROM YOU.

as for gmpilate, go to kos or huff, they enjoy your type.. you will fit right in.
Or pray, or go to church and come on back with the Lord in your HEART.
    We await your joyful return.

  3. Hey GM,

Let's stick with that last one: RealiTEA.

"Of course, Iraq and Afghanistan probably had something to do with that figure, because we've had troops in Afghanistan almost as long as he's been alive."

And yet, amazingly, Obama and the Dems have obligated enough this year to dwarf the cost of those wars.

"even THOUGH it had been approved seven months ago by the previous Congress, and drafted by the previous Administration."

Even THOUGH it had been approved seven months ago by the previous DEMOCRAT CONTROLLED Congress, and 350 Billion had been authorized by to spend by Bush, leaving 350 Billion for Obama. Little did he realize it was about to balloon to ten times as much...

"Doesn't he know the Texans lost at the Alamo?"

As they lost the last election. But they won the war for independence.

"At least one white supremacist group was spotted..."

Oh? Was that Robert Byrd, former Klansman and Democrat in good standing? Interesting how Republicans always seem to get associated with racism, since most segregationist policies were implemented by Democrats and the Klan was a major Democrat voting block.

"Were they there to hint darkly about secession, as Gov. Perry of Texas did? (Let 'em--Texas, along with the whole former Confederacy, suck up the Federal dollars while the Northeast--and you too, California--contribute the dollars they feed on.)"

Apparently that's not all the former confederate states "suck up." Georgia is one of the fastest growing states in the union. New York and California are both experiencing losses, despite the heavy influx of illegal aliens into the state every year. It seems that productive people can't wait to leave places that disregard their rights and confiscate their property. BTW - That high share of Federal Taxes CA and NY pay? Self-inflicted wounds. When you artificially inflate wages because of unions and artificially inflate other costs because of regulations, you show more income, and therefore pay more tax. It doesn't matter that you get much less for your money.

"Because no one thought to obtain a permit. Then some genius decided to throw a box of tea over the White House fence, which only succeeded in briefly locking down the area by the Secret Service.
Whaddaya call this? StupidiTEA, of course!"

Yeah, kind of embarrassing. These things happen when you don't employ people on a regular basis to protest. What can I say? Most conservatives have real jobs. They aren't very experienced at this protest thing.

"Remind me never to try and market my products there!"

If you insist, though it's likely to give you the best bang for the buck. Fox routinely outscores all other cable news sources combined in ratings. Numbers are interesting things though. I think the last time the Libs had a semi-successful demonstration that large, they called it the "Million Man March." Oh well, most Dems are pretty weak on analyzing numbers anyway...

"Were they there to emulate the original Boston Tea Partyers, who were protesting the monopoly (and excessive tax) of imported tea by the East India Company?"

Interestingly, the colonies were paying lower taxes than the citizens in England at the time. The issue was rights, though as a lib and atheist, you can be excused for not readily understanding the concept.

There has been a bitter taste coming from DC for a long time now, which is rapidly approaching intolerable. Such a substantial showing this early in the office term does give me a sense of hope, however. Later on, my daughter and I shall sing "My God's Bigger Than the Boogey Man."

  4. Thanks for posting the video. I guess to folks like GMpilot are confused with this type of protest where the protesters are nice folks who aren't frothing at the mouth, yelling obscenities, or spewing propaganda for their particular cause.

The message seems clear enough. There's a rising flood of conservatism - Republican and Democrat - that is tired of Congress, its pork barrel spending, and the ensuing taxes to pay for the pork.

Since when did the idea of limited government become insane? Only when filtered through the propaganda of CNN or MSNBC.

  5. sh007r,

Thank you so much for tellin' it like it is!

    You wrote:

My answer concerning GMPilot? Yes. That is all that he has to offer.

People like GMPilot can't see anything beyond their hatred for those who don't think like him. What's more, Bible believing patriots who love our country are special targets to him. He can't admit that there are hundreds of thousands, (plus solidarity of the 58 million who voted for McCain and millions more who didn't bother to vote in the last election) of individuals willing to come out and protest against the awful direction this terrible administration of the usurper Obama is taking us.

GMPilot hates conservatives - ESPECIALLY the Christian kind. That fact is most unfortunate. After several years of GM commenting at my discussion forum, I can say that he could have a lot better things to offer. However, he is always on the wrong side of God's revealed wisdom in the Bible.

Love your choice for favorite sign:

"As for my sign at the Tea Party in Denver...
    Obama and congress:
The Constitution was written to protect us FROM YOU.
That is one of the best messages I have seen during the TEA parties!

Thanks for sharing the link for Susan Boyle. The talent that was hidden from the public at large in this "church lady" for many years (probably because of prejudice) came shining through. The look on Simon Cowell's face was priceless!

God bless you and thanks for commenting!

  6. Gary,

As usual, excellent points! I think I want to use the term "RealiTEA" in my next post!

    In answering this:

"Doesn't he know the Texans lost at the Alamo?"You wrote:

As they lost the last election. But they won the war for independence."Spot on !! That is exactly why Glenn Beck chose that venue. One battle loss does not mean the loss of the war.

How ironic is it that ObamaFRAUD and his corrupt gang of liberals can not EVER bring themselves to say the word "victory" about the success in Iraq!" That is most telling thing about the Obamunism administration.

Do you feel at all safe with radical Janet Napolitano as the leader of homeland security?

She sends out a memo disparaging our troops - calling them out as possibly being recruited as future "terrorists" (I thought that word was banned???) and calling TEA party attendess "right wing extremists."

So, let me get this straight. Radical Muslim terrorists who cut the throats and heads off of "the infidels" are now to be labeled as "extremists," but normal, hard-working tax payers who use their God-given, Constitution affirming free speech rights to hold up signs and peacefully demonstrate against the direction the ObamaFRAUD and clueless Congress are taking our country deserve the same title?

This is a perfect example of why radio talk show host Michael Savage calls "liberalism a mental disorder." It certainly is!! But the radical leftish Commmie-Fascist kind of non-natural born citizen and possible illegal alien Barry Soetoro - along with his Commie friends like Soros, Chavez, Castro (etc.) are the worst of the worst!!

BTW, Savage is suing for the resignation of Janet Napolitano! Woo Hoo!!!

America has been awakened. The TEA parties have encouraged me beyond belief!! I think that the July 4th nationwide attendance will be doubled, if not tripled in size!

    Thanks for your comment!

    Sincerely,
    Christine

  7. Euripides,

    EXACTLY RIGHT!

Just goes to show how out of touch with RealiTEA the Lamestream Media of Mass Deception really is!!

I think that it is very encouraging that so many conservative/moderate Democrats either didn't vote for the FRAUD in chief or, have now abandoned him because of his wacko Commie-Fascist ideology.

The bums will most likely be thrown out of Congress in 2010. We need a majority of Republicans back in Congress to get Nancy PeLIARsi and Harry ReiDUNCE out of power!

    Thanks for your comment!

    Sincerely,
    Christine

    no, THANK YOU.
I don't know how you do it, really.
I'm here just about every day and I appreciate your courage and your deep, obvious and PROUD Faith in the Lord.
You are a gift to many.
    Thx.

  9. Hi Christine,

Always a pleasure to hear from you.

As far as the safety issue, I certainly don't feel any safer with JN in charge of homeland security. I won't start to feel safer until I get the impression that the current administration is targeting someone other than conservative citizens for scrutiny. I think that Savage is wasting his time, however. Lawsuits with no chance of winning make interesting sound bites, but I think they take resources away from areas where they can be positively employed.

While I agree that America is awakening, I am still waiting for the light bulb to come on over the Republican party which will tell them that being "Liberal Lite" is not a winning strategy.
