While cooking dinner and watching O'Reilly, I was pleasantly surprised to see Pastor Miles on the show! He was being questioned about the continual hatred being spewed against Miss California, Carrie Prejean by the far left loons.
Pastor Miles gave GREAT answers! I loved the answer he shared whenever the gay rights movement vs. the black civil rights movement question comes up. They don't compare. One is a behavior, the other involves skin color and ethnicity. He said (paraphrased), 'I know several people who are not gay anymore, but never met anyone who isn't black anymore.'
The media portrays "gayness" as something unchangeable. That is why the radical gay agenda activists absolutely HATE anyone who has changed their orientation! It is a threat to their perceived "rights" agenda.
The same hate is aimed at any popular national spokesperson - like new spokeswoman for National Organization for Marriage - Carrie Prejean, who advocates for God's plan for marriage. After all - God invented the union of one man and one woman as a covenant relationship. Science and reason back up such wisdom and knowledge as well.
Those who fight against that covenant which was first established by God have not only an argument with millions of people who uphold such unions (as most born-again biblically-based Christians do), but they also are attempting to argue with, and fight against God's will, science, and reason in the matter! This is why their spirits are so disturbed and they act out in hate, anger, slander, cursing, and disparagement.
The truth is, they are in a lot of pain and anger - not because of those who reject "marriage" for them - but because they are spiritually broken and reject God's will in their lives.
Miss California's pronouncement reminded them of that truth - even though they would absolutely refuse to admit it. She reminded them of their spiritual brokenness and separation from God because of their refusal to confess, repent, and submit to His Will in their lives. Jesus warned us that people would, "hate us because they first hated him."
Most Christians are more heavily aware of the spiritual battle behind it all. However, deep in each person's soul, the difference between right (good) and wrong (evil) has been planted in our conscience by God. Anyone can hide and reject such awareness and commit evil, sinful acts. They can even go further to proclaim what they do as "goodness and righteousness," despite the fact that God's Word reveals it as evil and sin. But when they do so, they are in denial.
The homosexual community is a cult. They, and their cohorts, are deeply involved with denial and are actively suppressing that truth. They are in bondage to their particular sin - and they will fight to the death not to allow it to be revealed and exposed as such. This is why they will do all that they can to punish anyone who disagrees with their radical agenda. They continue to shake their fists at God and refuse to do the one thing that will save them from their sins!
It is only with a humbling of oneself before God, confession, repentance, accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, and the continuing sanctification in this life that a person who self-identifies as homosexual can be released from the bondage of that behavior and identity as well as the punishment (which we all, as sinners in need of the Savior deserve) that results because of such sin.
But it takes an act of the will to do so.
It involves denying the wrong fleshly desires and agreeing with God as to what is proper in a sexual relationship via the covenant of marriage.
Some will always refuse God's mercy, grace, love, and forgiveness and continue to go their own way. This is to their own detriment.
All we can do, as believers, is point them in the right direction towards Jesus Christ.
Pro 14:12 There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death.
Pro 12:15 The way of a fool seems right to him, but a wise man listens to advice.
Mat 4:17 From that time on Jesus began to preach, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near."
Jhn 14:6 Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
Jhn 3:7 You should not be surprised at my saying, 'You must be born again.'

Camp On This
Hi Christine,
ReplyDeleteGood points! I'm glad that pastor spelled out how how one can change sexual preferences but not skin color. Also, skin color is morally neutral but sexual behavior is not.
I'm glad Carrie stood up for the truth about same-sex marriage and am disappointed (but not surprised) at how the faux feminists are trying to destroy her. Having said that, giving what appears to be Carrie's whole story about modeling, implants, parading in a bikini, etc. I'm not sure the family organizations were wise in making her the poster girl so quickly.
Hi Neil,
ReplyDeleteThanks for adding that "skin color is morally neutral but sexual behavior is not." Excellent point!!
I can understand your feeling that way about "making her a poster girl so quickly." However, it seems to me that "ex- (name your sin)" people often do marvelous work for the Lord through counseling to others and trying to help them avoid the same pitfalls that they have (unfortunately) been in. This seems to work well with former alcoholics (e.g.AA), ex-gays (ex-gay ministries), porn and sexual addictions (discovery recovery groups) etc.
I recently learned that Bristol Palin is going to encourage abstinence for teens. As a new teenage mom - she already has experienced the pitfalls of sex in high school.
By stepping out and being spokespeople, these Christians allow their vulnerability to be attacked under public scrutiny. Hopefully, they can take the "hits" and yet do great works for Jesus, anyway.
However, what each will do in the future will be very telling of their repentance and commitment to the cause(s) that they now represent. Hopefully, NOM has not made a huge mistake with Carrie.
You only believe in legal protections for inalienable identities? That's rather strange, don't you think? I'm sure you agree with the protections against religious discrimination. You do know that people choose their religion and can change it, don't you?
ReplyDeletethis incredible. how is she miss california? are you in california? don't you get it? california is STOLEN TERRITORY. you know how many honest Indian nations lived in california? the land you are living in is STOLEN LAND. you have no right to any of it!
ReplyDeletewhite people constantly whine, moan, complain! but indian people have gotten butchered for 400 years by you lying, evil colonists! did you know the european barbarian invasion of america was the great genocide in all history? i see all you as invaders in my nation. you stole the klamath river, the san francisco bay, the catalina islands! you stole kansas, new jersey, florida!
it's not yours! it's not miss california's! stop whining about your own evil decadent "civilization" and go back to europe where you belong! we indians were honest, moral people before you came along! we had no sex perversion, drinking, none of that! YOU brought that here. YOU brought gay lifestyles to America. YOU brought smallpox, aids, and alcohol!
Wasn't sure whether or not to post Tsikeren'tanhnyaks' comment.
ReplyDeleteAnyone willing to tackle such accusations?

I thought that liberals/progressives ALWAYS believe that homosexuality is COMPLETELY unchangeable?
Besides, comparing a sexual behavior with religious belief is like comparing apples and oranges.
Excellent points Christine and yes, Pastor Miles gave some great answers! I too loved his response when comparing civil rights to gay rights.
ReplyDeleteYes, the social terrorists are at it with Carrie and inspite of the beauty pageant and racy photos fiasco, she is an accidental hero. Like Pastor Miles said, she showed integrity by answering the question the way it should be answered rather than cow tow to political correctness. That's why she's a hero to many of us because there are too many Christians (leaders too) who are cowering to the LGBT social terrorists!
Not to excuse the pageants or the pics, but to support Carrie as she moves forward is what we must do now.
Tsikeren,
ReplyDeleteI was just contacted by a beaver. He said your people stole the land from him, so stop whining.
Thanks Carlotta!
ReplyDelete"Social terrorists" - what a great name for these hypocritical people!! That is what they do - terrorize any and all who do not agree with their propaganda and indoctrination.
Yes...Carrie turned into an "accidental" hero for traditional marriage. It is good to hear another Christian mom, like myself, standing up for this young woman.
You are SO RIGHT when you stated that many Christians cower to the gay lobby terrorists!! That's a real shame...
During the letter segment on O'Reilly tonight, one writer stated that Carrie is getting lots of support on Facebook! Good!!
Thanks for you insightful input - always appreciate it!
Love in Christ,
Christine
Gary -
ReplyDeleteYou crack me up!! HILARIOUS!!!Thanks - really needed a good laugh tonight!
Sincerely,
Christine
