While catching up on my blog reading this morning, the following letter that was found over at /RepubX - Defend Our Freedoms blog: A Nebraska doctor’s message for Ben Nelson needs to go viral! I hope that you will pick it up, paste it into an email and send it to everyone you know; and/or post it on your own blog, or include it on the front page of your website so that more people can see a perfect example of the anger that is occurring among millions of people across this nation because of the back door deals, extortion, bribery and stealing of the American taxpayers' money in order to pass this horrendous HELLSCARE bill in the Senate!
From Blogsphere:
Dr. Becky Hollibaugh of Friend, Nebraska e-mailed me her message for sellout Sen. Ben Nelson (D-Neb.) this morning:
Hello Michelle:
I’m a family practice doctor in Nebraska. I sent the following (angry,I admit) letter to Senator Nelson. I urge your readers (from Nebraska and elsewhere) to do likewise, in their own words!Dear Senator Nelson:
I send this message under “Tort Reform” because the current monstrosity you have pledged your support to says nothing whatsoever about Tort Reform. You have sold the physicians of Nebraska for zilch (zilch for us, but beau coup federal bucks for you and the liberal partisans in this state). As a family practice physician in Small Town, Nebraska, I was counting on you to be the lone voice of Democratic sanity on this issue, but you sold me out. I will dedicate every spare minute of my time and every spare dollar I have to defeating you, should you run for re-election. The long hours I spent on my medical education and the long hours I spend treating my patients are nothing but chump change to you and your Democrat colleagues in Washington. I especially can’t wait for your equivocation and milquetoast evasion when your “compromises” on the abortion language in the bill are silently erased or quietly (on-little-legislative-cat’s-feet) eviscerated in the House/Senate give-and-take. Go on: Bet me that you won’t wuss-out on this issue!
I know you won’t give two-seconds to this letter, but I had to write it. I’m a primary care doctor in YOUR state, and you sold me out. I didn’t slog through 4 years of college and 4 years of medical school and 3 years of residency just to have you hand my career and my patient/doctor relationships over to government lifers. Your gutless acquiescence to Obama and Harry Reid and ‘Nanny’ Pelosi will NOT be forgotten.
Thank you, Ben, for forcing doctors like me to earn less than the repairmen who fix our appliances. Case in point: We recently had our dishwasher fixed. The repairman who came to our house charged $65 just to come and ‘diagnose’ the problem, then charged another $180 to ‘fix’ the problem. You and your fellow lawmakers have fixed MY going rate (Medicare) at $35 per-visit. Thank you for securing such a ‘lucrative’ rate for me! Thank you so much for making me–someone with 8 years of education!–make less than a mechanic or appliance repair technician. And thanks especially for falling in line with Obama and the rest of the Democrats to make such a socialist system permanent.
You have my disgust and disdain forever, you socialist-coddling coward.
Sincerely,
Becky F. Hollibaugh, D.O.

Let's support Becky. Send her a note or card and just say thank you and that you want to help her. Send your email so she can reach you. Find out were you can send a dollar, five or twenty to help defeat Nelson. Let's show the 100 Senators that no longer will we let them have a country club life of dinners, travel, power, money and fame. The good life is over. From now on they run and get elected to make America better, not line their own states pockets. Senators above all should be for all the people.
It's time to make a difference.

Great comment over at RepubX too:
Be it known, America, there are no "compromises", "negotiations", "political deals" et.al there are only bribes, graft, fraud and corruption for each and every vote that passes these bills: health care, cap & trade, stimulus - you name it.
Every representative who voted yes has been bribed for a vote and every representative who stood by and watched it happen without notifying the media of the details of said bribes & indiscretions, are complicit.
Vote these people out - they no longer represent America and the foundations of freedom, individual freedom, free choice and the pursuit of happiness - they only seek wealth building off the backs of other Americans.
Question the patriotism of EVERY representative! They have spat in our faces and no longer show themselves as Americans.
ICONIC FREEDOM
2010 - VOTE THE BUMS OUT!
I have also been made aware of another great grassroots movements (besides the TEA Party Movement) called GOOOH!
"GOOH" stands for:
Get
Out
Of
Our
House
"If ever a time should come, when vain and aspiring men shall possess the highest seats in Government, our country will stand in need of its experienced patriots to prevent its ruin." Samuel Adams, 1776
Such a time is NOW!! PEOPLE!!!

agree with you in principle. however, you probably want to keep some of them - i think congress should have a big 'flush' lever that we could pull and start over.
ReplyDeletehowever, consider this:
43 "When an evil[f] spirit comes out of a man, it goes through arid places seeking rest and does not find it. 44 Then it says, 'I will return to the house I left.' When it arrives, it finds the house unoccupied, swept clean and put in order. 45 Then it goes and takes with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and live there. And the final condition of that man is worse than the first. That is how it will be with this wicked generation." (from matthew 12)
throwing the bums out is a simple, attention-grabbing idea - something expected from thinking-impared bloggers and talk-show hosts. unless there's a solution to prevent restocking congress with moneyed self- and crony-interested politicians, we will be no better off.

Quite a thoughtful comment, Mike. Sometimes you pleasantly surprise me.
ReplyDeleteIt is true that we will need to keep some of them because not all are up for re-election at the same time. However, many of the bad apples are up for re-election and it is those people who I pray get replaced - preferably with conservative newcomers who hold to the 9 values and 12 principles of the 9.12 project (at the very least).
I kinda doubt that we would agree which congresspeople need to be replaced.
Did you hear that an Alabama congressman is switching parties from Dem to GOP? Apparently he is a first year newbie (elected 2008) and is horrified by the back room dealings going on with the Dem leaders in both the House and the Senate.
It is individuals like that - who have a conscience, recognize dirty politics when they see it and have the backbone to bolt from the offending party and administration of corruption (mostly the liberal Dems but some Repubs too) so as not to be associated with said corruption anymore.
P.S. You can't possibly include me, your humble hostess here at Talk Wisdom, as one of those "thinking impaired bloggers" would you? You appear to be reading here an a daily basis, so what does that say about your thinking abilities???
Have a Happy Christmas...a Blessed one too if you decide to come over from the dark side...that is!
most certainly, i wasn't talking about you as the thinking-impaired blogger, though if one constantly links to such, one might have to see guilt by association... :)
ReplyDeleteif the individual you mentioned who switched from dems to GOP was unaware that politics is nothing BUT back room dealings, he should be ashamed to have conned his constituents into believing that he was going to washington to work for them. idealism is good - and i'm as idealistic as they come - but the world of politics and government seldom deals with anything but a cold, what-have-you-done-for-me-lately reality.
i'm sure it won't surprise you that i do not agree with the criteria you intend to use to measure our 'replacement' congress. but it is what it is.
and, if i had a nickel for every time someone implied i was not among those ready-to-be-raptured, i could buy my own for-profit show on tbn...
if i did, would you watch?...
:)
merry Christmas.

Oh...you mean like that one time I linked to The Daily Kos?
About the Dem turned Repub. Arlen Spector did the opposite "betrayal" to his constituents. However, the Lamestream media praised him for it! We shall see how this turnabout is handled. Keith Olberdummy's head might spin around.
Would you agree that there are degrees of corruption? I realize that politics is full of it, but the blatant, no-holds-barred, complete disregard for Americans who have protested, written, faxed, emailed and appeared at the steps of the Capitol Building (several times) to express to all the Senators and Congresspeople (who ignore their pleadings and want to get the ObamaSCARE HELLcare bill through - without even reading it!!!!! - truly creeps me out and makes me wonder whether or not there is NOTHING they won't do to take over 1/6th of our economy in this way! [sorry about the run-on sentence]
Senators are now just learning that funding for ACORN was sneaked into the bill by Harry ReiDUNCE! How much more corruption and craziness are the American people supposed to put up with???

Do you even know what the 9 principles and 12 values are? [Excuse me for getting it backwards in last comment.]
Click to read them.
Perhaps you might agree with more of them than you think!
Regarding your attempt at Rapture humor, perhaps you have been born again in Jesus Christ but are now backsliden (or outright rejecting it). That is really between you and God.
There still is time! If you would possibly reconsider before your life on this earth ends, then you might want to rethink some of your political positions. You won't get punished for them (Christ took that punishment for you), but it may affect rewards for you in eternity when you come before God to answer for them at the Judgment Seat of Christ.
P.S. I never watch TBN. I'm a Turning Point fan (Dr. David Jeremiah).
