Rush's Letter to Obama

I heard Rush Limbaugh share the following Letter to Obama on his radio show today. It's AWESOME! Gateway Pundit has the transcript up and I have copied and pasted it here.

Here’s the transcript from Rush’s website:

I penned a message to Obama that I would like to deliver now. Because Mr. Obama, I think it’s time we had a heart to heart talk. Let me be the father that you never had or never really knew, because I think you need some guidance. It’s time to man up. It’s time to grow up. That speech last night was an embarrassment. You couldn’t focus, you lashed out in all directions, you refused to accept responsibility for your own actions, and you were angry.

And he was, folks! He was mad. Being president is a big job. It’s a big responsibility. You wanted the position, Barack. You campaigned for it. You told the public to trust you with it, and they elected you — and you’re now president of the greatest country mankind has ever known, and yet you act like this was all coming to you, like you deserve it, that you’re better than the people you are supposed to serve and that you have no tolerance for debate or dissent. That’s not the way it works as president, Barack. We have a Constitution, we have checks and balances, we have separation of powers, we have states — and most of all, we have the people. You don’t get to impose your programs and policies on the nation and the people without our consent.

This is a representative republic, not a banana republic, and let me remind you: Karl Marx and Saul Alinsky are not our Founding Fathers. This is a nation built on individuality, built on liberty, free markets, and faith. Yet you, Barack, demand fidelity to a different belief system: A system that crushes individual initiative and free will. The president does not berate Supreme Court justices who are guests of the Congress and who have no ability to respond to your attacks. You’ve made such a mess of things, Barack, and it’s time to stop deluding yourself. It’s time to stop blaming others. You are delusional. You are delirious. It’s time for you to assume the responsibilities of a president rather than pretending to be one.

You’ve driven the nation’s debt over the edge. It is your responsibility to fix it now. Otherwise, our young people will have no future. You were wrong to grant terrorists constitutional rights. Even the libs in New York don’t want the trial there now! You, Mr. President, are endangering the security of this nation. Now fix it! Reverse course, and send the terrorists — all of them — back to Guantanamo Bay, where they belong. You are wrong to nationalize one industry after another from automobiles to banks. You are destroying competition and jobs. You need to stop what you were doing before million of more families go broke from your misguided policies. It’s not too late to stop this. I know you’re not going to stop it because last night you said you don’t quit, and I know what you mean.

You’re gonna keep plugging for the same agenda, which is going to destroy this country even more — which makes me think, Barack, that’s your objective. You know, Barack, unlike most presidents you’re dealing with a Congress that has super majorities in both houses, fellow Democrats. It amazes me that with all the talk about your ability to persuade and communicate, that you can’t even hold your own party members together anymore. Is that Bush’s fault, too? Is it [the] fault of the banks and the insurance companies and the lobbyists that you can’t keep your own Democrat Party unified — or is it a problem with your leadership, Barack, or lack of leadership? It’s the latter, Mr. President. I’ll tell you, you are not a leader. You are an agitator and an organizer, and a process guy, but you are not a leader. It is you who are doing something wrong.

The people in Virginia don’t like it. The people in New Jersey don’t like it. The people in Massachusetts don’t like it. The people in Massachusetts and all over the country have the ability to inform themselves outside of your sycophant press corps, and they are doing so. Members of your own governing majority don’t like what you are doing. I mean, this calls for some self-reflection and some circumspection. Has it occurred to you, Mr. President, even once that you’re not as cool as you think you are? Has it occurred to you that you are screwing up? And if it has, are you happy about that? Has it occurred to you that you have a great deal to learn and that you need to take your own measure, or are you Mr. Perfect? Are you God-sent?

Are you The One that you’ve been waiting for? See, I have a little concern there may be a psychological issue at play here. I don’t say this to demean you, Barack. I say it because I’m concerned. I mean, Tom Daschle was always “concerned” and I like the word. I’m concerned. You seem to have a whole lot of enemies, at least in your own mind. A partial list would include Fox News, insurance companies, banks, oil companies, the “special interests,” the Supreme Court, Republicans, talk show hosts, executives, anyone or any business that earns over $250,000 a year, mortgage companies, credit card companies — and the list goes on and on and on. You have the longest enemies list of anybody I’ve ever known.

These people are not your enemies, though, Barack. They are Americans. They are part of this country. They are part of what makes the nation work. You are not. You have nothing to do, and have had nothing to do, with this nation’s greatness. You can’t lay claim to greatness on any scale, not even rhetorical. But you have no direct relationship to the greatness of this country. You are damaging the possibility of further greatness. Nevertheless, like a bully, you continue to threaten all of these people. The Supreme Court, Big Oil, Big Pharmaceutical, Big Retail, talk show hosts, Fox News, the list goes on. You threaten anybody who does not agree with you. You try to intimidate them. You smear them. Your sycophantic media goes right along and carries your water. But this is not what presidents do…

  1. Ew. The whole idea of Rush Limbaugh telling the President of the United States that he will be the father he never knew is rather repulsive. Maybe Limbaugh would like to pat our African American President's on his head and tell him to run along and be a good boy...

His statement "But you have no direct relationship to the greatness of this country" is also ridiculous. What exactly does that mean? Rush Limbaugh should instead be giving himself this speech. This is coming from a drug user and who knows what else. Talk about not having any claim to the greatness of this country...

  2. Did Rush ever address such a letter to GW Bush? Did he ever address him by his first name, talking to him like he was one of the "boys" and not the President of the United States? Did Rush actually write it himself?

It's too bad that the people who really know how to run the country are pumping gas and cutting hair...or isolating themselves in a sound booth.

  3. Dear Kevin and GMPilot,

Since you object to what I write at this blog, and what Rush Limbaugh says and writes about Obama, perhaps you may consider what Charles Krauthammer has to say about Obama:

Daily Thought Pad: A Profound Evening with Dr. Charles Krauthammer - [In other words, "It's better to be paralyzed from the neck down, than to be paralyzed from the neck up...."]

  4. Hi Christine, I read what you posted above by Krauthammer. I find most of it hard to believe--that Obama is out to control the world? Come on! To me this is statement is ridiculous and it really casts a shadow on the rest of what this guy has to say. The whole idea that he is out to dismantle capitalism is ridiculous as well. I don't need to remind anyone that Bush is the one who started to bail out the banks--that wasn't Obama. If Obama is out to destroy capitalism, then so was Bush. And I don't hear anyone saying that. The deficit was also on a steep incline when Obama became President--it wasn't like he could just stop it right away, especially with the mess that he was left with.

  5. I think that what Krauthammer meant was that Obama THINKS (or thought - past tense) that he could control the world. His entire campaign was based on "hope and change" and wasn't limited to America - if you recall. Obama made unnecessary trips to Europe preaching his mantra - bashing America all the way. In his naivete', Obama thought he could "negotiate" with terrorist-making and rogue Islamic/Marxist/Totalitarian countries. We have now seen what a pipe dream that was.

President Bush admitted going "against his capitalism ideology" when he approved TARP. Much of that money has been paid back. Not so with the horrible (and unnecessary) "Stimulus bills" that were developed by Obama & Congress to pay back special interest groups i.e. SEIU, ACORN, cronies, lobbyists, which did not help create any jobs for Americans.

Kevin, if you can't see what is being shown right before your very eyes - then you are blinded by your own ideology. And that a real shame...

  6. Kevin,

Maybe Limbaugh would like to pat our African American President's on his head and tell him to run along and be a good boy..."

That would be more of a Chris Matthews type thing to do. Despite liberal rhetoric, they are a lot more focused on race than conservatives. Their policies have also done a lot more to harm minorities in the last fifty years. While conservatives want to encourage people to succeed, liberals insist that minorities are powerless to succeed unless they are provided help and advantages by government. Far from empowering people of government, this encouraged millions of minorities to remain poor, uneducated, and dependent.

"Talk about not having any claim to the greatness of this country..."

Okay. Obama's only claim to greatness in the country is that he has benefited from its liberty. He used his position as a Chicago politician to reward cronies and get a great mortgage deal and spent nearly his entire time as an Illinois Senator on the campaign trail, studiously avoiding any vote that might threaten his viability for President. He has hidden his academic past and spent over a decade in a church contemptuous of America and surrounded by people advocating violent overthrow and change. To the best of my knowledge, he has never owned or operated a business or really done anything of tangible benefit to the nation or its people.

Rush Limbaugh was indeed a drug abuser, has had at least one divorce, probably more. But with none of Obama's high priced education, he has become a national sensation. His charitable donations are far in excess of the Obama's and he has used his office to regularly press for them. Between his advertising revenue generated, his books, his tours, and other efforts he creates thousands of jobs that actually improve the wealth of the country unlike the public sector increases of Obama. He revolutionized the talk radio format and was a leading voice in new media to counter the continual drift leftward of the established media. Despite their complaints about his lack of journalism or quality, he inspired people to speak out and actually educated millions on aspects of economics that neither the news nor the schools were providing. Obama used "Yes we can" as a slogan. Rush promoted "Yes you can" as a way of life, and provided the example.

  7. Grammatical correction to my last comment:

"And that is a real shame..."

I was pressed for time and didn't proof-read it.

Very well said Gary! You covered it all with that brief, highly accurate and educational comment!

  8. If readers want to get a jump start on one of my up and coming blog posts (for next week) go to Butterdezillion Blog

Don't let the strange blog name prevent you from reading the introduction at link above, as well as the main subject matter found HERE - entitled "Red Flags in Hawaii"

I think that the author is correct when he writes:

"Obama’s eligibility is and always has been about law enforcement, because our entire system of law enforcement of already-existing laws has utterly failed. This has nothing to do with politics."

Even Charles F. Kerchner - lead plaintiff in one of the Obama ineligibility cases states: "I Believe The Fix Was In for the 2008 Election and The Cover Up is Still Going Strong!
The Perfect Storm for a Constitutional Crisis!"

My new blog post will include commentary, evaluation, and analysis of the two posts. [Note: any readers who would like to contribute to the future blog post (including additional links, commentary, analysis, thoughts, ideas for solutions etc.) please post them in the comment section here and mark FOR NEW BUTTERDEZILLION POST.]

Butterdezillion concludes at the first link above:

"Seriously think about “The Dark Knight” – which gave my kids nightmares for weeks. Watch it again so you can clearly remember what lawlessness looks and feels like. If, like me, you would die before willingly handing your kids’ future over to lawlessness, then keep reading at http://butterdezillion.wordpress.com/2010/01/11/red-flags-in-hawaii-2/"

Serious stuff - folks! I don't know how ANYONE could not be alarmed and concerned about Obama's ineligibility cover-up after reading the Butterdezillion information!!
