Excerpt from "New Obama slogan has long ties to Marxism, socialism" article:
The Obama campaign apparently didn't look backwards into history when selecting its new campaign slogan, "Forward" — a word with a long and rich association with European Marxism.
Many Communist and radical publications and entities throughout the 19th and 20th centuries had the name "Forward!" or its foreign cognates. Wikipedia has an entire section called "Forward (generic name of socialist publications)."
"The name Forward carries a special meaning in socialist political terminology. It has been frequently used as a name for socialist, communist and other left-wing newspapers and publications," the online encyclopedia explains.
The slogan "Forward!" reflected the conviction of European Marxists and radicals that their movements reflected the march of history, which would move forward past capitalism and into socialism and communism.
Those who have been paying attention to the disastrous policies of ObaMARXIST are not fooled into thinking that the slogan they have chosen is the "innocent" use of the term "Forward"!! Any reasonable person can surmise that this was done purposely in order to "hide in plain sight" their Marxist ideology for the benefit of Obama's base.
There are over 2,300 comments after the Washington Times article (link above). Here are some of the best that were written about one month ago:
Galtgirl•a month ago• They knew exactly what it meant and made a point of choosing it. They are well-versed in communist history and ideology. Why people continue to underestimate the "machine" is beyond me.
MayaAyala•a month ago• Obama is all about "forward" -- just like a Toyota Prius without brakes is going "forward" over a cliff. Barack Obama is as unqualified in 2012 as he was in 2008. Even with the media protecting his "image" for FOUR YEARS, Americans can see through it all and realize that his "hope" was nothing more than "hype."
Daniel Martin Gray•a month ago• Forward? To what end? By what means? The road to the Prog dystopia of Socialist Injustice is the road to HELL. And if unchecked, SOON, is likely to repeat history, and be paved with the bodies and spirits of millions of US who will not toe the line, and so get the boot of TYRANNY on our necks!
Bull Meter•a month ago• //To what end? // To displace God //By what means?// By any means necessary The road to hell is paved with many things but deceit is its mortar. We can take comfort, however, in knowing what hell itself will be filled with - The charred remains of this rising beast, for it will fall.Love that last commenter's screen name..."Bull Meter!" He/she also got right down to the nitty gritty of the subject - "hell itself will be filled with - the charred remains of this rising beast, for it will fall." Very prophetic!
Back to the term "Forward."
Has anyone else noticed that even some Republicans and Conservatives are now using that term? I thought that was odd. Usually when a leftist takes over a word (e.g. "progressive"), it makes us want to avoid utilizing the same word. Well, as far as the term "Forward" is concerned, the meaning DOES VARY. It is not so much the word that matters, but the ACTIONS that follow the use of the word.
Anyway, to me, the Communist/Marxist/Progressive/Globalist meaning of the term "Forward" can more accurately be labeled as Froward. The following essay is a copy of a post that I wrote back in 2007 here at Talk Wisdom that explains what that word means in biblical terms. After reading it, see if you don't agree that the ObaMARXIST campaign slogan choice would better resemble the term "Froward" rather than the term "Forward."

Wow! That's certainly a "loaded" word, full of negative meanings!!

The Bible is filled with verses regarding the heart, and the character of the unrepentant.
That's the bad news which we all must face about our spiritual state of being since the Fall.
The Bible is an honest book. It records the deeds, errors, sins, and evil done by men because of the "froward heart."

But Jesus tells us to take heart...
John 16:33 - “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” (NIV)
I wanted to throw out a challenge to my readers. Pick one of those words, apply it to the heart (e.g. "Mischievous Heart") and give a modern day example of someone or something that has demonstrated that type of a heart in the comment section.
Then, if possible, also share the story of a person who has overcome a "Mischievous Heart" and tell us what helped make that transformation for that particular person.
The examples chosen can be YOU, or someone you know, or someone you heard about on the news, etc. If you find an article or website link about such people, then feel free to provide a link to the story.
Anyone out there up to the challenge?

There is hope in the Lord! No matter where you have come from...no one is beyond the reach of our loving God!
This Devotional shares why:
The New Covenant of Grace: A Holy Spirit Covenant
I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them. (Ezekiel 36:26-27)
As noted earlier, the new covenant is about grace, as contrasted with the old covenant, which is about law. "For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ" (John 1:17). The connection between grace and the Holy Spirit can be seen in various scripture passages on the new covenant, including this glorious prophecy. "I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh." The first verse in this prophetic promise concerns regeneration, spiritual new birth. Through faith in the Lord, our original, hard, lifeless heart is removed, and a new, pliable, living spirit is given to us.
The second verse pertains to transformation, the ongoing development of this new life. "I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes." The developing of a life that increasingly complies with the will of God depends upon the work of the Holy Spirit within us. We know that unredeemed humanity has no hope of living a life that is pleasing to God. Yet, many Christians could be unaware that even the new creature in Christ cannot please God on his own resources. The Spirit of God must be the heavenly cause that produces a heavenly lifestyle in believers.
What is promised here is not an automatic experience. The life of many Christians does not consistently match what is described here in Ezekiel 36:27. The reason is that they are not relating properly to the Lord in humble dependence. Yes, these two relational realities (humility and faith) also determine whether or not the Spirit of God is our resource, just as they were determinative concerning grace.
Two statements by Jesus expound upon this fact. "You have no life in you...It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing" (John 6:53,63). We do not innately possess life as God intends it to be lived. Natural human resources are of no benefit in developing a godly life. Such revelation is very humbling. If we embrace Jesus' evaluation of our personal inadequacy, then we are willing to relate to God in humility. Further, there is truth in which we are to place our trust. "It is the Spirit who gives life." As we count on this truth, we are relating to the Lord in faith. The result of such humble reliance in God's Spirit becomes our vitality for living godly.
O Lord, the source of true life, thank You for establishing such a gracious arrangement as the new covenant. I praise You that Your Holy Spirit is my heavenly dynamic for godliness. I confess that my fleshly attempts to please You are so inadequate. I humbly ask You to cause me to walk in Your good will, by the power of the Holy Spirit, Amen.

Hi Christine,
I love it when you SPeAK TRUTH. Jesus is the truth (John 14:6)
Much love to you, my beloved friend and all your worldwide readers.

Hi Susan,
How grateful to God are we who trust in Jesus Christ - the Living Word of Truth, and the Bible - God's Written Word of Truth!
I could not imagine living in this fallen world without knowing Jesus, studying the Bible and trusting in the Truth!
Thank you for being such a great Christian friend here at Talk Wisdom!
With love and gratefulness,
Christine
Well said Christine as I remain yours in the Messiah.
I lovee the Body of Christ! (ss)
Good morning dear lady! You have some good stuff here. I like the way you always deliver the bad news first and then remind us of the good news that Christ is there for those that want the way out.
Out of the entire list the one that stands out to me as being the precursor, if you will to all the others is "proud". In my opinion all the others spring forth as a result of "pride". I thought about "haughty", yet haughtiness is a direct attribute of pride (in my opinion). As I go down the list and if I were to remove "proud" from a person's character ... I cannot how the others would be evident. I don't know ... perhaps I'm wrong about that. To me everything has a "trigger" and the "trigger" for 45 of those words is "proud" or "pride".
A modern day example is simply the behavior of the Congress in regards of how they continually go against the will and wishes of the people that voted them into office. I mean, look at John Boehner. The guy is so full of pride that he stands in the way of the prosecution of Eric Holder ... simply because he thinks he's smarter than us. ALL of them think they are smarter than us just in the fact they all know Obama is a fraud, yet they are too cowardly to actually have him arrested ... but think it's no big deal that they all have broken their oath of office and allowed him in, but they will just defeat him policy wise. We'll see. I would name most of the faux "conservative" talk hosts but I'll hold my peace (and it will be my wisdom) on that.
~~~~~~~~~~
I can't really speak (write) for others. I've seen people (my ex-wife for example) transformed from a person of which every word and then some on the list would apply ... and then become a soul winning "machine" for Christ. She was born and raised in south Ft. Worth, molested while a very young child, drugs, drinking, sex, fighting, crime ... everything ungodly thing you can think of she was a part of in her teen years and adult hood (she is 17 years younger than me, and we've been divorced for over 6 yrs). One thing about her is that when she gets involved in something it's all or none. Being bad, she was real bad ...
Anyway, it's a very long story and I'll get to the matter. She accepted Christ into her heart about 10 years ago and within a year started her own ministry helping women being released from prison find salvation, then helping to find housing, jobs, etc as most people when they are released from jail have no where to go except back to where they came from.
She's had some problems, major ones since being born again, and I rarely hear from her any more. I admire her and she is a very good example of the saving power of God ... for her to overcome the hold that your "list" had on her.
I hope this comment wasn't too long and I don't have any links for you, as that story is just a personal one.
Good afternoon dear Mr. Steve! Thank you for that wisdom filled comment!
I think you are correct about how the pride of life results in many (if not all!) of the rest of the negative characteristics on that list!
And thank you for sharing such a deeply personal story about your ex-wife and her transformation towards Christ. Her story had many very sad parts to it, but the power of Christ overcame and brought her from the depths of despair out into the Light of the Savior! She is now doing what matters most - the Great Commission command given by Jesus Christ - to be a soul winner for the Lord!
It is true that not all problems instantly go away when we become Christians. But the promises of Jesus far outweigh anything that we could achieve on our own here on temporal earth.
Not to change the subject so abruptly, but I watched the movie "The Book of Eli" again last night. What a moving movie that has a great message regarding the Word of God - the Bible - and how precious it really is in our lives!
I won't give away the plot or ending, but at one point Eli (played by Denzel Washington) is asked by a young lady "what was it like before" - meaning - before the Apocalypse happened. One thing Eli said was, "we had more than we needed. People would throw out things that people would kill for today."
After watching that movie I realize that I have nothing to complain about! The value of the Gospel is all we need - this side of heaven. And when we die (or, are raptured up if still alive), seeing Jesus as he is will be the ultimate experience and reward. Any "crowns" given for earthly works will be tossed at the feet of Jesus Christ! He is King of Kings and Lord of Lords!
Reminds me of this worship song:
Hi Christine, thanks for the Youtube… beautiful.
It is easy for me to think I am the only ONE who has ever fallen… yep, reckon that is spelled PRIDE to the max.
Steve, thanks for sharing your ex-wife’s story. Love to all in our Lord. (ss)
Thank you for your most kind words Christine and the link to the music.
Thanks Steve! That link to "Abide with Me" is a lovely hymn that reminds us to abide in Christ always!
Steve and Susan - have either or you seen the movie "The Book of Eli"? It does have violence and some bad language, but the overall message of the movie is really great. Watching it on T.V. was better because the bad language was cut out. If you get a chance, see if you can find it playing on T.V. in your area.
Here is a link to the movie trailer:
TVGuide: The Book of Eli movie trailer
I found it on the T.V. Guide listings page:
TV Guide listing for The Book of Eli, but it says it will show on TNT on June 16th and June 18th. It is already showing (several times) here in CA on channel 1034 - TNTHD.
If you have already seen it - what did you think of the ultimate message the plot presented?
If you want to know a bit more about The Book of Eli, here is a good website:
IMDB: The Book of Eli
The landing page has one review (which doesn't contain spoilers if you want to see the movie first) that gives some good information about the film. However, if you click on the rest of the reviews there are lots of "spoilers" contained within them. It is interesting to see the God-hater reviewers reveal themselves. Most appear to dislike what "book" Eli is protecting. One reviewer even said that he "hated the ending."
Well, to each there own. It goes to show that the perception of individuals towards this film may depend on whether or not they "get" the overall spiritual message or not.
I thought that the ending was really great! Won't be a "spoiler" here for those who haven't seen it yet. But it brought about a lot of questions regarding Eli and what could have occurred over the 30 years of his long and tedious journey "out west." Perhaps I need to do a review of my own one of these days!
I suscribe to Net Flix but rarely watch anything ... but I'll check this out as I'm sure they have it. Thank you Christine.
I'm going to post this on Loopy's blog at WordPress. A very nice Christian lady who you will like immensely. All links will lead here.
I have not seen the Book of Eli.
Thanks for the movie trailer Christine… watched it… wow at the violence! I do not have a TV… (ss)
Thanks for the link, Steve. I'm glad that you are willing to view the movie. I'd like to know your thoughts after viewing it.
Not all Christians (or, just people for that matter) thought that the movie was good. As I read through the comments at the IMDB link, I have found that some people had several reasons for not being impressed with the movie. But I think that was the point. The devastation after the "flash" (what they called the apocalyptic war) doesn't make the movie a "pretty" one. Like I stated before, I preferred viewing it on T.V. because they had to bleep out or change the bad language.
I visited a message board today that had an interesting thread about the character of Eli. Now, I need to watch the movie again to see who was correct in the argument! But I don't mind. I think it's very intriguing.
Susan -
If you want to view it (I know the violence and bad language isn't appealing) you can rent it online for $2.99 here:
IMBD - Amazon Video
There are probably a boat load of movies that you would rather watch so if the trailer showed too much violence, then don't watch it.
I found the movie very revealing about what matters most in this world! And to see a secular-type movie relate a Christian message of hope (despite the violence and foul language) in such a powerful way was quite interesting to me. It may not be for you, though, and I would completely understand your decision to skip viewing the movie.
I'm kind of laughing out loud right now Christine! After some of the things I've witnessed, movie violence won't be a problem.
I just checked Net Flix and they don't have it which surprises me. I'll just have to get it from your link. Thank you!
Thanks Christine. (ss)
