Railing Against Reality

Getting to the heart of an issue, especially when it involves grievances, is often a difficult task in today's political climate. The media of mass deception either is blind to the truth or refuses to share it. That is why alternative media, like blogs, forums, and Glenn Beck's new GBTV are so important. Discerning people can filter out the lies and recognize the truth about what is happening here in the United States and around the world.

My previous post helps to explain the bizarre policies of the NObama BAdministration. It is by no means an exhaustive essay on all of the corruption coming out through the current puppet occupant of the White House, his master puppeteer Soros, the union bosses,  and his leftist underlings.  But it does explain a lot of the details that the lamestream media will not touch with a ten foot pole.

Victor Davis Hansen has written an article over at Townhall.com that helps to explain WHY there is such angst going on in America. The question remains, who (or what) is really to blame for it? The TEA Party railed against big government, high taxes, the bailouts, Nobamacare (which has turned out to be an absolute disaster and WILL be repealed by the next Republican President), the FED, the excess of business regulations, and all the other horrible policies imposed by this BAdministration that defy the U.S. Constitution and trample upon our liberties and freedoms.

The Occupy Wall Street crowd may contain a few people with similar complaints, but it really is a totally different story. Victor Davis Hansen makes some points about the similarities when he labeled the demonstrations as Railing Against Reality. There are a lot of mistakes and bad policies made by the federal government over the years, but what is different about the "Occupy Wall Street" crowd is the fact that much of it was staged.  Demonstrators were PAID by Soros-financed leftist groups.  Not so for the TEA (Taxed Enough Already) Party.  It was truly a grassroots event where most of the protesters were everyday Americans who probably have never protested before.

Sometimes an article is enhanced by those who add comments.  I think that this is the case regarding Hansen's essay.  Several  readers at the site added good points to what was written in the article.

The following excerpts appear further on within the article, but they are the points that I would like to emphasize here.

Ostensibly, the Wall Street protests rail against a small elite who makes a lot of money lending, investing and speculating -- although the protesters don't seem to worry much about the mega-salaries of actors, professional athletes or sympathetic multimillionaires like Al Gore, George Soros or John Kerry. American flash mobbers and London hoods thought it was OK to take things that were not theirs, since they have less than others. The Tea Partiers were simply tired of paying more taxes for big-government programs that they thought only made things worse.

The TEA Party demonstrators want our country to get back to the roots that our Founders created for us, namely, to get back to being a Constitutional Republic and not continue down the cesspool hole of so-called "Democratic" Socialism! The results of the 2010 mid-term election showed just how much Americans despised the policies of Obama and his cronies.

I like what this reader over at the Town Hall site wrote:

In the mob pursuit of equality, universal benefits and other collectivist ideals, the concepts of personal responsibility (a primary component of integrity) and individual liberty (not to be equated with specific freedoms to behave irresponsibly at the expense of one's neighbors but, rather to own and control one's own property and life).

The left wants to be able to live as they wish without the consequences of poor decisions, making them more like Wall st , not different from Wall st. They expect to be able to do this at every one's expense but their own.

The trouble with socialism is sooner or later you run out of other people's money.
- Margaret Thatcher

Thatcher was right! And the commenter hit the nail on the head when he wrote, "They expect to be able to do this at every one's expense but their own."

The Occupy Wall Street protesters are (supposedly) on Obama's side (or, more accurately, Obama claims to be on THEIR side). Why is that? Answer: because it was all staged (and paid for) by George Soros and the union bosses; most likely with Obama's approval. That helps to explain why the group was controlled and did not display any anti-Obama signs.

Excerpt:

Unfortunately, political leaders -- unwilling to risk their careers by irking the people -- have offered few explanations for the root causes of all the various unrest. Instead, they assure us that Social Security is solvent, or that pensions and wages can remain sacrosanct, or that billionaires and millionaires are alone culpable. Sometimes they exploit race and class divisions in lieu of explaining 21st-century realities.

Exactly right!! There are too many socialists and so-called "progressives" in government. As commentator Robert states in his comment below, They need to be replaced with conservatives who will "revive a free, enterprising and innovative economy!"

This generation is faced with the greatest challenge in America's history. We have to throw out the totalitarian socialists and revive a free, enterprising, innovative economy that changed the world once and can do it again. We still have the tools, the intelligence, and the work ethic to defy the socialists and return our country to the apex of civilization. First, we have to chase the totalitarian socialists, Communists Progresssives back to their academic cubby holes from whence they slunk out to wreak their destruction. America can do it again! Please note, Republican candidates for the presidency! Lady Liberty is getting impatient!

For over 30 years now, the Democratic party has been the overbearing nanny of the nanny state voters who don't even realize how damaging their socialist policies have been for them!!

I do think that Obama's disastrous failed policies may have awakened many of them (at least the Independents get it now)  from the nanny state stupor they have been fooled into living under.  Why?  Because with all the stimu-waste spending that Obama and the Dem Congress imposed, it didn't help the middle class or the poor one bit!!  The crony capitalism they all practiced over the past 3 years has come back to haunt them!  Paying off Obama's election buddies and the billions of dollars that went to failed "green" energy companies was all a huge waste of TAXPAYER MONEY!  Therefore, many have abandoned Obama and will vote for the Republican candidate this time around.

I will conclude with this great comment:

The situation in all these demos reminds me a little of a child who holds its breath or throws a tantrum to get its way. If the tantrum is ignored, a child gives up and moves on unless he/she is rewarded. Then the tantrums increase. A child who holds its breath eventually breathes or passes out and then breathes. Governments have treated employees and parasite citizens as children for decades to gain their support and hold power. The chickens are coming home to roost.  [bold mine for emphasis]

Good article, but I have one different view on one of your points: your belief that Obamacare will be repealed by the next GOP President. That will NOT be the reality if mittens (Mitt Romney) gets elected. Romneycare was the basis for Obamacare and so far, Mittens have given all indications that he will NOT repeal BO care, no matter how much it stinks.

You think so? I heard that he would immediately grant wavers to the states so that they would not have to implement it. But I think you are right that he hasn't pledged to repeal it. During one of the earlier debates, it was Michele Bachmann who stated that granting wavers would not be enough - the gigantic Obamacare error needs to be completely repealed. Maybe the Supreme Court will strike it down for being unconstitutional. Whichever way it is done - it NEEDS to be done away with FOR GOOD!

Good morning Christine.
You've made some excellent points here and I always admire the way you articulate your thoughts. My view, for what it's worth is that unless a serious conservative like Ron Paul gets elected, there will be little or no change in Washington. We can't over look the fact that there hasn't been any memeber of the Congress that has really called Obama to task concerning his display of the blatant phony birth certificate. That felonious act by Obama alone is enough to can his butt. Yet not one member of the Congress says anything ... thus making them complicit in a felony. I'm wondering if anyone even notices how the Republicans will "delay and obstruct" Obama's policies ... then give him what he wants? This is all for show by Bohener, etc my dear. I posted this yesterday and it pretty much sums up how I feel about the matter:

As far as the Supreme Court striking down Obamacare ... I seriously doubt it. I believe 100% that the United States has "crossed the Rubicon" via her elected leaders.
I surely hope you and your family are doing good.

The terms 'left' and 'right' lend themselves to confusion rather than clarity of thought.

What we are really talking about when we refer to 'leftist' is the default position of fallen man: inflated pride, self-centeredness, greed, libido, and the compulsion to escape suffering (which can simply be the word "no" to self-centered libidinous man).

When Alexander Solzhenitsyn pointedly observed that evil cuts right through the heart of every man, he was reiterating the point made above.

So what we are really witnessing over and across the American landscape at every level of society is aptly described in Scripture: in those days every man did what seemed right in his own eyes.

When the God of Revelation is dead in the hearts of men, then transcendent immutable truth, moral absolutes, fixed meaning and ultimate purpose become as absurd as the idea that man will be held ultimately accountable for what he does in this world.

America is a spiritually and morally impoverished society on the verge of sliding into the pit, and it is this darkly ominous vision that Victor Davis Hanson struggles to find words for.

Excellent Linda!! Very well stated!! You obviously know the Bible and can astutely apply it to our current situation of fallen man here in America.

I was watching the show called "The Five" today on Fox News Channel. Jesse Watters was a guest co-host (he is affiliated with Bill O'Reilly and The O'Reilly Factor). When asked about his various assignments that he is given around the country where he asks "the common man" about certain issues (or shows a photo of a popular politician), it is amazing how many young people these days are so sadly absolutely ignorant!! And, many of them are supposed to be college students! What are they doing in these universities?? Teaching Saul Alinsky and the Cloward/Piven method of orchestrated crises?

What a sad state of affairs. No wonder so many fell for ObaMARXIST's lies and voted him back into office. They are all just useful idiots - and don't even know how bad the consequences of their actions (and/or inaction) will be when it comes down to saving our beloved Constitutional Republic from disaster!

Only God can save it now. It will be his mercy, grace, love, and salvation that counts in the end - whether this country falls like the Roman empire, or we are saved from total depravity and destruction. It will take another Great Awakening - and a turning back towards God for us not to end up like Greece or any of the other crashing European economies.

Thanks so much for your comment Linda! It was filled with intelligence, but more importantly, the wisdom of God from His Word, the Bible!

God bless you!
