CNN reported:

Five more House Democrats said Tuesday that they will vote against Senate health care legislation, which puts opponents of reform just 11 votes shy of the 216 needed to prevent President Obama from scoring a major victory on his top domestic priority.

An ongoing CNN analysis shows that opposition in the House to the Senate health care plan has reached 205 members.

A total of 27 House Democrats, including nine who supported the House plan in November, have indicated that they would join a unified Republican caucus in opposing the Senate plan, which passed in that chamber December 24 with the minimum required 60 votes.

Nonetheless, House Democratic Caucus Chairman John Larson of Connecticut said Monday after a meeting with rank-and-file Democrats that “the votes are there” to pass the health care bill.

Among at least 27 Democrats who will vote against the bill is Rep. Mike McIntyre of North Carolina, who confirmed his opposition Monday.

The Soft Tyranny of the NOBama Regime

There are so many great blog posts out there today that it is hard for me to choose a headliner. However, the irony of seeing the blog Stop The ACLU cover a topic that claims "Even the ACLU is opposing this Gestapo-like effort" show how utterly over the top the stupid totalitarian Obama Regime has become!

I first heard about the "The Modern Militia Movement" questionnaire on Glen Beck's radio show.

Stop the ACLU blog goes into much more detail, sharing the fact that a Secret document leaked: The Obama administration is branding libertarians and abortion opponents as hidden terrorists.

Excerpt:

“Militia members most commonly associate with 3rd party political groups,” the report reads. “It is not uncommon for militia members to display Constitutional Party, Campaign for Liberty or Libertarian material.” Other potential signals of militia involvement, according to the report, are possession of the Gagsden “Don’t Tread on Me” flag or the widely available anti-income tax film “America: Freedom to Fascism.”

I wonder whether or not they will eventually include Mark Levin's new book, Liberty and Tyranny: A Conservative Manifesto on their list?

Isn't it awful to see this terribly inept Resident in the White House and his neo-Marxist buddies continue to destroy not only the financial sector of our nation; but in addition to that, the liberty, freedoms, and pursuit of happiness that is guaranteed in our Constitution and other Charters of Freedom?

The overall plan of the book is simple and logical. Chapter One, "On Liberty and Tyranny," lays out the basic conceptual scheme. Levin contrasts two opposing political philosophies currently in contention: The Conservative versus the Statist. He grounds the Conservative in the values and insights on human nature of the American Founders, and does so economically and convincingly. For the other side of the debate, he quite correctly rejects the label "liberal", because in current usage the term has become entirely divorced from its literal meaning. He writes:

I wanted to see what Mr. Levin meant by "statist."

I think that the following definition fits.

We can already see the development of "soft tyranny" in the NOBama administration. Mark hits it exactly right when he writes, "which becomes increasingly more oppressive, partially leading to hard tyranny."

During the 60 Minutes interview, Mr. Kroft reveals that in a typical survey, only 18% of people agree with NOBama's economic policies! That means that a whopping 72% of the public THINKS NOBAMA'S ECONOMIC PLANS STINK AND WE ARE HEADING IN A DREADFULLY WRONG DIRECTION!

What is it going to take to reach this man? He's not a king. He's not a dictator (at least he's NOT SUPPOSED TO BE!).

Fellow Americans - we MUST rise up and get our voices heard and the message out that WE DON'T WANT THIS FORMER KENYAN VILLAGE IDIOT AND CLUELESS, RECKLESS CONGRESS TO COMMIT GENERATIONAL THEFT AND CREATE TRILLIONS OF DOLLARS OF DEFICITS!!

If only common sense ruled the day Washington D.C. I guess that is too much to ask with the many morons occupying seats in the Senate and the House.

Thankfully, there are still some SANE PEOPLE in Congress. Rep. Gohmert had a great idea that, unfortunately, never saw the light of day. Why? Because PeLIARsi and ReiDUNCE dismissed all of the Republicans (and their ideas) and were shut out of the financial problem debates.

If I recall correctly, Rep. Gohmert proposed a "tax holiday" for all Americans for only three months. If such a tax holiday was given for up to six months, it STILL would have cost 1/2 (estimate) less than the Stimulus bill!!! It would have IMMEDIATELY placed more money into the pockets of EVERY WORKING TAXPAYER and BUSINESS OWNER. In turn, the business owners would have been able to hire more people. Each taxpayer would have more money to spend and that spending would have most likely helped every industry (including the failing car sales giants) in dire straits right now, by having more of OUR OWN MONEY (after all, it is EACH AND EVERY WORKER'S MONEY - NOT THE GOVERNMENT'S IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!) to spend and get the economy going again. This idea would have had IMMEDIATE RESULTS!

Economically speaking, nothing happens until someone sells something. In turn, that means that someone else is buying. IMO, government SHOULD NOT BE IN THE BUSINESS OF SELLING!!! Especially when they are using OPM - Other People's Money in the most wasteful ways imaginable! The Democratic majority's mindset is "tax and spend." They know NOTHING about the correct way to run a business!!!

But don't take my word for it. After all, I'm just a dumb blogger. I'm not an economist. However, I listen to those economists who have shared their views that NOBama's economic policies are quite the disaster.

Even other countries are worried about this new NOBama administration making disastrous economic moves.

China Calls For New World Currency to Replace Dollar

In February communist China warned Democrats not to discard the stable state of bilateral relations by following a "whatever-not-Bush" economic policy. Russia's Putin warned Democrats about socialism.

But, Democrats went ahead with their historic spending bills anyway.
These moves by democrats now have China concerned that skyrocketing inflation is on the way.

In response, China called for a new reserve currency to replace the dollar.

The Financial Times reported:

[A]nalysts said the proposal was an indication of Beijing’s fears that actions being taken to save the domestic US economy would have a negative impact on China.

“This is a clear sign that China, as the largest holder of US dollar financial assets, is concerned about the potential inflationary risk of the US Federal Reserve printing money,” said Qu Hongbin, chief China economist for HSBC.

The Democrats are so dishonest.

First, they can't ever admit that the Bush tax cuts helped boost our economy for 7 of the 8 years he was in office.

Second, many bloggers have caught on to their schemes. The economic disaster was a manufactured crisis (count how many Dems caused it!!!) to get their "boy" into office. Recall how they blamed it on Bush? Perhaps they didn't think it through all the way and being the "economic geniuses" they are (NOT!!) are now stunned to see how hard it is to stop this out of control train wreck going down the track of disaster.

Back to Levin's book.

I plan to get a copy today. Can't wait to read it!

We can see - just by the piled on economic turmoil that the NOBama admin. is creating (on top of the manufactured crisis in the first place!) is an example of "statist" mentality. It is a kind of "soft tyranny" that Mr. Levin mentions in his book - which will one day lead to hard tyranny - neo-Marxist Obama's plan in the first place. That is probably why he can get stoned and appear on 60 Minutes - laughing his way through the interview while Mr. Kroft sits there in unbelief asking him, "are you punch-drunk?"

Yep...drunk with his own Kool-Aid mixture and ObamaBorg mind - trying to ruin our economy and nation even before the close of the Lamestream media's stupid "100 days" landmark. It's becoming more and more obvious to millions of people - especially those who regret voting for the phony - his inexperience, haplessness, and clueless mindset on good economic policy will make the legacy of his first days more like, "How to ruin a nation in 100 days."

Stimulating Washington's Gluttony

There must be many people out there, like myself, who are deeply upset and sad that Congress passed that awful Porkulus, Spendaholic StimuWASTE bill last night.

This morning, I read a great blog post over at Charlie LeHardy's blog - These Morally Hazardous Times,

Charlie wrote:

Giving Congress a blank check is like throwing red meat to sharks. Giving Congress a blank check and screaming Fire!, as President Obama has been doing, guarantees the worst sort of knee-jerk Congressional response: just throw money at everything and hope that something works.

The "change we need" turns out, unsurprisingly, to be more Washington gluttony at the expense of future generations of taxpayers.

One thing that I would add is the fact that it was RUSHED THROUGH - without giving any member of the House or Senate the change to read the entire thing! Who ever heard of such a thing as this??? CRAZY! UNETHICAL! DANGEROUS! JUST PLAN STUPID - AND EVIL!

So much for the "transparency" that Obama promised on the campaign trail. What about the "48 hours" for the public to see the legislation online before it's voted on and/or passed? Didn't happen. Last night, Sean Hannity had a video clip of Obama making such a claim back in late 2007. How many Obama broken promises does this make? I've lost count.

In Charlie's essay, he discusses "moral hazards." Congress is guilty of adding another one to the list:

When that last Democrat Senator cast the final 60th Senate vote for that awful StimuWASTE bill, I sat down and cried. In fact, I had been praying and crying most of the day. I didn't sleep well last night, either.

I really think that our nation is under condemnation. It is going to take some real suffering to get people back to God.

Those who have placed so much faith and hope in an ordinary man (who has supported a LOT of evil) are going to be sorely disappointed. Perhaps, it is when they finally realize their mistake, they will turn back (or, turn to Him for the first time in their lives) to Jesus Christ - the true Messiah, Savior and Lord of the universe.

I recently changed the heading of my blog to this:

Talk Wisdom's goal is to defend the tenets and values of Biblical Christian faith. We defend our Constitutional Republic and Charters of Freedom, especially when speaking out against destructive social and political issues. As followers of our Savior and Lord, we should boldly stand up for Jesus Christ in our present circumstances. He is our Savior, Lord, and King, and His love needs to be shed abroad in our hearts and in our world - now.

Those who voted for Obama and now regret their votes probably aren't ready to admit it yet. Some have publicly stated regret (like the mother of the USS Cole victim); but most are holding to a "wait and see" attitude right now.

Even Mike Huckabee, who didn't vote for Obama but was willing to give him a "chance" now states that he was wrong about giving Obama the benefit of the doubt.

Many pro-Obama supporters who came to my blog over the past year - while I tried to warn them of Obama's past and terribly evil intentions for our nation - hated me for sharing the truth about him. Some day, perhaps one or two will come back to my blog and admit that the dire warnings shared at Talk Wisdom (and at thousands of other conservative and/or Christian blogs) were correct about such warnings.

As Charlie had mentioned in his article, the fact that the burden of this monumental wasteful spending will be on the backs of future generations - makes it all the more appalling to me!

However, in the midst of all of this sadness, doom and gloom and fear for the future of our nation, Charlie shares what is most important (and this part is what helped me):

Paul's goal was two-fold: 1) that we should be allowed to live our lives in peace, free from interference by leaders of dubious judgment and moral character, and 2) that these leaders should come to understand the truth.

And what is that truth? Paul continues:

For there is only one God and one Mediator who can reconcile God and humanity — the man Christ Jesus. He gave his life to purchase freedom for everyone. This is the message God gave to the world at just the right time. — 1 Timothy 2:5-6, NLT

In other words, the greatest moral hazard we face is not that we will lose our jobs and be thrown out of our homes, but that we will fail to put ourselves under the redemptive grace of Jesus Christ, which Paul, the economist, says was purchased for us with something far more valuable than US dollars: the blood of Christ shed on the cross.

We only get to vote every few years, but we can pray every day. Pray and intercede for your neighbors and friends who can't find jobs. Pray and intercede for our leaders, that they might allow us to live our lives in peace, and that in this time of great unknowns they might humbly admit their ignorance and seek God's wisdom.

Times are tough, but God is still on his throne, still welcoming sinners into the grace of Jesus Christ. Like every time and every age, this is a time for prayer. /quote

Kanjorski and the Money Market Funds: The Facts

With the Kanjorski Meme still spreading (see Ben Smith, Andrew Leonard, Moldbug, and more), I think I’m finally able to squash it with some hard figures: there never was a $500 billion outflow from any asset class in the space of a couple of hours or even weeks, and the Fed never shut down or froze any money-market accounts.

This is not the first time that Kanjorski has made these allegations. But first, it’s worth going through the timeline.

On September 15, Lehman Brothers failed. The Reserve fund — which was $64 billion that morning, and which had a substantial investment in Lehman debt — saw $10 billion of withdrawals that day. The following day, September 16, it saw another $10 billion of withdrawals; on September 17, when withdrawals had reached a total of about $40 billion, it announced that redemptions would take "as long as seven days"; as we all know, that was massively overoptimistic.

The news from The Reserve was gruesome, and total withdrawals from money-market funds reached $104 billion that day, according to Crane Data. Another data provider, ICI, says that as of the close of business on the 17th, money-market funds had a total of $3,549.3 billion, which was a fall of just $30.3 billion from their level a week previously.

The following day, September 18, was bad but not quite as bad, with withdrawals of $57 billion, according to Crane Data. By the 24th, according to ICI, the total was $3,456.2 billion — a drop of another $93.1 billion from the 17th.

On September 19, worried about outflows from money-market funds, the Treasury announced that, for a fee, it would guarantee — not freeze — eligible money-market mutual funds. But the details of the plan still weren’t clear as of September 21, when Treasury said it was "continuing to develop the specific details surrounding the temporary guaranty program".

Substantially all of the outflows came from institutional accounts: retail investors never panicked. If you look at the weekly data for bank savings deposits, including money market deposit accounts, they stood at $3,167.4 billion on the 15th, and rose to $3,191.4 billion on the 22nd.

So where does the $500 billion outflow number come from? Would you believe: the Sunday New York Post, which on September 21 published a story headlined "Almost Armageddon" featuring this paragraph:

According to traders, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, money market funds were inundated with $500 billion in sell orders prior to the opening [on Thursday]. The total money-market capitalization was roughly $4 trillion that morning.

Remember where we’re at here: the end of the longest week in financial-market history, when no one — traders, reporters, Congressmen, you name it — was getting much if any sleep. Simple errors can easily be made, numbers can get fuzzy, everything was moving very fast and confusingly.

In any case, three days later, on September 24, Kanjorski held a hearing on Capitol Hill with Treasury secretary Hank Paulson. Here’s what he said:

I was talking to someone, one of my friends on Wall Street today, asking him to verify the money market run. It was anonymously reported in some of the New York papers, and I think I have evidence of it in some of our conversations, whether it was with you or with other experts, that between 11:00 and 11:30 on Thursday last, the money markets in the United States were hit by a run that amounted to about $500 billion of $4 trillion in accounts and that as I understand it, it was essential for the Federal Reserve to pump $105 billion into the system and to suspend operations or the money market accounts of the country would have, in fact, failed.
One, you should tell us that.

Kanjorski is clearly fishing here: he’s talking about anonymous newspaper reports and vague "conversations" and anonymous Wall Street "friends", and basically asking Paulson to confirm his suspicions. Which, naturally, Paulson doesn’t do, because the suspicions weren’t actually true. That said, however, Paulson’s being-polite-to-the-Congressman answer doesn’t explicitly say that Kanjorski’s numbers are false.

After that, we didn’t here much more about this meme until Kanjorski resuscitated it on C-Span, this time citing the Federal Reserve as his data source, and beefing up the numbers for good measure:

On Thursday at about 11 o’clock in the morning the Federal Reserve noticed a tremendous drawdown of, uh, money market accounts in the United States to the tune of $550-billion was being drawn out in in a matter of an hour or two…

We were having an electronic run on the banks. They decided to close down the operation, to close down the money accounts. … If they had not done that, in their estimation, by 2 PM that afternoon $5.5-trillion would have been withdrawn and would have collapsed the U.S. economy and within 24 hours the world economy would have collapsed.

This is all, frankly, fiction, and it’s not clear where most of it came from, although maybe Kanjorski’s "friends" on Wall Street are the same people as Michael Gray’s sources at the New York Post. Thinking back to that crazy week it’s easy to get details wrong, especially when you’re speaking off the cuff on a call-in show. But let’s stop treating it as though there’s any substance to it. Please.

If you ask us, Mr. Salmon’s explanation could have been a little more clear.

But we tend to believe it.

Something as big as a $500 billion run on the banks could not have gone by unnoticed by everyone in the business.

Of course we would still like to know where Mr. Soros fits into the current financial crisis.

A colloquial verb coined in the United States, it is commonly used with contempt to describe the behavior of politicians, academics, pundits or media "experts," sometimes called bloviators, who hold forth on subjects in an arrogant, tiresome way.

I find it very difficult to believe ANYTHING that comes out of Obama's mouth. He has lied - time and time again - and has reneged (just ask how furious pro-life Catholics are who were lied to by Obama) on many promises made on the campaign trail. How can anyone trust a guy like that?

All of his bloviating about doom and gloom if this PORKER bill doesn't pass just makes me ill. He reminds me of a two-year-old who stamps his feet and screams at the top of his lungs when he doesn't get his way. Obama just uses a teleprompter to recruit support for his stupid, wasteful, and "pay to play" back intentions towards those groups that helped get him elected.

I certainly don't want to trust him with billions of taxpayer money!

I certainly don't want him using our family's hard earned income being sent to the government in the form of taxes to go to what Obama, Reid, and Pelosi think is important. THEY JUST DON'T GET IT! YOU CANNOT SPEND YOUR WAY TO ECONOMIC RECOVERY!

I keep hearing about reductions in spending allotments to the liberals' prize pork projects. THEY SHOULDN'T BE IN THERE IN THE FIRST PLACE! HELLO? ANYBODY IN THAT BRAIN??

Does anyone happen to know if ACORN - the most corrupt organization of the 2008 election (well, maybe just one of the most corrupt - THERE WERE SO MANY OF THEM that got Obama elected) - is still included in the revised bill? I would like to know about that. It is one organization that deserves ABSOLUTELY NOTHING from the taxpayers!

McConnell Statement on Proposed $820 Billion Spending Bill

‘But as near as we can tell, even after those efforts, it is roughly the same size as the House bill. The Senate bill, under the compromise, we believe, would be about $827 billion.’

WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell made the following remarks on the Senate floor Friday regarding the Democrats’ agreement on the trillion-dollar spending bill:

“The question of whether or not the economy needs help is really not in debate. I don't think there's a single member of the Senate that believes that no action is the appropriate course for us to take.

“But one of the good things about reading history is you learn a good deal. And, we know for sure that the big spending programs of the New Deal did not work.

“In 1940, unemployment was still 15%. And, it's widely agreed among economists, that what got us out of the doldrums that we were in during the Depression was the beginning of World War II.

“We have another example.

“What is called in Japan the Lost Decade of the 1990's, where stimulus packages similar to the one we're considering tonight were tried again, and again, and again. And, at the end of the 1990's, Japan, looked very much like it did at the beginning of the 1990's, except that it had a much larger debt.

“Now, we've not seen the compromise proposal, which has been discussed here tonight. And, I know there's been a good faith effort on the part of those involved to pare down the size of the underlying Senate measure.

“But as near as we can tell, even after those efforts, it is roughly the same size as the House bill.

“According to the figures I’ve been given, the House bill is about $820 billion. The Senate bill, under the compromise, we believe, would be about $827 billion. Bear in mind the interest costs on either of those proposals would be $348 billion. So we're really talking about a $1.1 trillion pending measure.

“A $1.1 trillion spending measure. We're looking at a $1 trillion deficit for this fiscal year.

“We believe that the Secretary of the Treasury and the President will suggest to us as early as next week that we need to do -- what has commonly become referred to as a TARP round – some kind of additional assistance for the financial system as early as next week. We're talking about an extraordinarily large amount of money and a crushing debt for our grandchildren.

“Now, if most Republicans were convinced that this would work, there might be a greater willingness to support it. But all the historical evidence suggests that it's highly unlikely to work. And so, you have to balance the likelihood of success versus the crushing debt that we're levying on the backs of our children, our grandchildren, and, yes, their children.

“And the need to finance all of this debt which many suspect would lead to ever higher and higher interest rates which could create a new round of problems for our economy.

“So let me just sum it up by saying no action is not what any of my Republican colleagues are advocating. But most of us are deeply skeptical that this will work. And that level of skepticism leads us to believe that this course of action should not be chosen.

“We had an opportunity to do this in a truly bipartisan basis and the President said originally he had hoped to get 80 votes. It appears that, the way this has developed, there will be some bipartisan support, but not a lot. And it's not likely, in the judgment of most of us, to produce the result that we all desire.

“So, I will not be in a position to recommend support for this product as it has developed in spite, again, of the best efforts of those who worked on the compromise. I commend them for their willingness to try to work this out. It seems to me that it falls far short of the kind of measure that we should be passing.

It has been very encouraging to me to see that the Senate (mostly Republicans and blue dog Democrats) are very wary of the StimuWASTE bill. Yet, I keep reading news accounts where, although Obama is losing the Stimulus fight but as Nice Deb points out, he seems to be clueless about the fact that the public is REJECTING it! Yet, he is STILL actively insisting on passing it quickly.

What is truly laughable, is to read this excerpt from the Real Clear Politics article:

Although Obama aides dismiss the media coverage as "cable chatter" important only inside the "Washington echo chamber," they acknowledge that Congress does its work inside that noisy hall and that the journalistic back-and-forth has tainted its key legislative objective. "We didn't give it as much air cover last week as we should," said one top adviser. "We lost a week."

Cable chatter? (In Liberal-speak...[whispers]...that must mean Fox News Channel.)

Air cover? COVER? What does that mean?

Is the Obama media-mania honeymoon over? Probably not yet. At least it's over on cable's Fox News Channel concerning this one issue. Hannity's new show is having quite the impact on the public!

But of course, as socialism steamrolls into our government, the need to shut people who dissent from their Marxist ways increases. UNFairness Doctrine anyone? PeLIARsi can't wait to impose it on us. Her goal, of course, is to eliminate the SUCCESSFUL Conservative talk radio shows.

With people like neo-Marxists (thank you Michael Savage, for coining that phrase) Pelosi, Reid, and Obama FORCING their socialistic agenda down the throats of an unwilling public; and the LAMEstream media who MOSTLY tend to pooh-pooh our concerns about the StimuWASTE bill that would cost $100,000 - $200,000 per "new job created," there is NO WONDER why the ordinary citizens, like us, are burning up the switchboards in Congress TELLING THE SENATE TO VOTE NO on this porker!

While over at Real Clear Politics, I noticed that Obama's formerly whopping 89% approval rating has dipped to 61%. I don't particularly care about polls or trust them, but we all know narcissist Obama cares about them.

Received an encouraging email from a friend yesterday. She wrote, "Do you listen to talk radio? I have listened intermittently to Glen Beck and he is working on creating a movement of some sort to get Americans to fight for their country so it doesn't keep moving into the socialist direction. He is giving details over the next few weeks."

I already listen to Glenn, but must have missed the segment where he stated that he wants to create a movement to enable Americans to reject the socialist direction that Obama, Pelosi, Reid & fellow conspirators are clearly heading us towards.

Two Topics Today

I don't watch the news as often as I used to. Too much Obamadroid information for my tastes. However, I was gratified to learn about a democrat senator who thinks that the stimulus package does not contain the right distribution of monies for the purpose of creating jobs. Wow! ObamaFRAUD, PeLIARsi and ReiDELUDED must be fighting mad over that!

Sen. Ben Nelson told FOX News he is unsure how many Democrats will support President Obama's $819 billion economic stimulus bill.

Nelson would not agree that the items he thinks should be removed from the bill are "pork." He just surmises that they wouldn't create jobs - which is what the title of "stimulus bill" means. I still think that many of the ones mentioned actually were pork entitlements. That reveals the fundamental differences between conservative and liberal thought.

On to another topic.

This morning, while visiting the Fox News Channel website, I noticed that they have a section for SCOTUS. When I clicked on the page, there was a list of cases and links to articles about lawsuits on docket.

I wonder if the ineligibility cases docketed against Obama were ever listed there? Somehow, I doubt it. But if this were the case, wouldn't it be considered strange not to include them? Again, I just noticed the page today so I am not sure whether or not they were originally listed before the cases were eventually denied by SCOTUS.

While doing some research online, I decided to see how many blogs and websites were actively discussing this particular case. I typed in "supreme court docket 08-570" into a search engine and over 2,460 results showed up. Yahoo had slightly more at 2,940.

As I scrolled down the pages of links, I ran across a Daily Kos article - written last month - about the Berg v. Obama case. I usually do not read that blog, but I was curious as to what was being written about the Obama ineligibility cases from the usual, rabid, liberal-left side of the blogosphere.

You will notice that the post contains comments by those who are called "freepers" (obviously mocking the commenters at Free Republic) by the Kos author. After a comment which listed of all of those who "don't want anything to do with this case," the truth of the matter comes out:

...the reason this "case" is over is because it never got started. "evidence" has nothing to do with it. the reality is, the court sees this as political nitroglycerin and after the 2000 debacle is not about to get into it. the potential for a true crisis, with paralysis of the succession and uncharted waters as to what next, all in the context of the current politico-economic and foreign threat quagmire, is far too high.

Political nitroglycerin....yup!

But I must state, if it had been George W. Bush's citizenship being questioned (recall the blown-up, out of control reporting on that Dan Rather-gate false report about Bush's National Guard status and duty?) you can bet your life that such an issue would have been exposed LONG AGO!

Why is it that liberal democrats get away with so many instances of fraud, corruption, illegalities, and stomping on our Constitution?

Personally, I do not think that this issue is going away. Some day, some how, some way, the truth will come out. I can't see how they can hide the truth forever.

i would have liked them to make obama put up too, but after he won a clear electoral victory, it was obvious that was just never going to happen.
you see ..., if someone doesn’t care about taking care of it for the future and most of their energy is expended on getting obama out of office, then they never did care about the “problem” in the first place. the problem is not obama, it’s the “process” by which obama got in there. that is the problem.

Another comment:

on the other hand, if someone attack the “real problem” as not having anything to do with obama and having entirely to do with a process that has been
discovered to be deficient — then — this is the constructive solution to the problem (i.e., the state laws to that effect).

we can tell how many are really interested in only obama versus interested in “the problem” (of the process which is deficient) ...

if anyone thinks that these lawsuits are going to stop without 0bama producing a legal birth certificate they are sadly mistaken. there is too much money and a few too many people who believe that the constitutional requirement of "natural born citizen" is worth fighting for. my money is on the patriots of the usa and not the people who just want this to "go away."

the supreme court knows that after january 20th, only congress can act to impeach the president. they wait until then, consolidate them all and dismiss them all on the basis that only congress has the power to impeach the president (and they don’t even have to consider one ounce of evidence..., just state the constitutional law and “excuse themselves”...).

I don't think that is completely true. If Obama isn't a natural born citizen (which is obvious unless his true father was someone other than Obama Sr.), then his election to POTUS was a fraud and he can be removed from office immediately. It is just a matter of the right case getting a hearing.

Sometimes, I think that SCOTUS is denying these hearings while taking the conferences because they know that eventually, a case about this ineligibility issue must be heard.

Currently, Berg v. Obama has been bounced back to the Third Circuit:

...still pending in the Third Circuit Court of Appeals where Berg just filed a Brief on 1/20/09. Berg said I had bypassed the Third Circuit hoping that the U.S. Supreme Court would hear our case on an expedited basis because of the significance of the case.

The two [2] other cases are in Federal Court and I will advise you shortly about the status of each.

There are other cases going on throughout the country in lower courts. Last I heard, there were about 30 of them.

Again, this subject is not going away. It is just a matter of when and how the truth will finally be revealed.

For those of you who are American citizens (especially those ex-pats living overseas that visit this site), now is the time to get your voice heard.

As I’ve documented here and here, the President’s stimulus plan as it stands right now is really nothing more than a boondoggle of government largesse and waste.

Think about it this way: if the typical contractor includes 10% of the project as waste and/or overruns, and let’s say that the final bill is $900 billion, that means at the very least there will be a bare minimum of $90 billion in waste, just off the top – and that assumes all the rest of the bill is legitimate!

Just say no. But, you have got to say no.

I am writing today to urge you and ALL REPUBLICANS TO NOT VOTE for the president's stimulus bill. From what I have heard and read about the bill, it is really nothing more than a boondoggle of government largess and waste. Think about it this way: if the typical contractor includes 10% of the project as waste and/or overruns, and let’s say that the final bill is $900 billion, that means at the very least there will be a bare minimum of $90 billion in waste, just off the top – and that assumes all the rest of the bill is legitimate!

Also, I DO NOT WANT ANY OF MY TAX DOLLARS TO GO to help organizations like ACORN. Just what we need - giving $4 billion more dollars to ACORN canvassers passing out cigarettes on the street corner in exchange for votes. Notice I didn’t say REGISTRATION, I said VOTES. I still recall that video of the ACORN representative telling a man in Ohio to vote for Obama.

Please, please PLEASE!! I am BEGGING YOU NOT TO VOTE FOR THIS! It will further increase our current ten trillion dollar deficit which would be placed on the backs of our children and grandchildren!! DO NOT DO THIS TO THEM!!

Please convince every Republican NOT TO VOTE FOR THIS AWFUL BILL! Please try to convince any Democrat that knows in his/her heart that this bill is TOTALLY WASTEFUL - NOT TO VOTE FOR IT!!

As such, it is a triumph of hope over experience to believe that more government spending will help the U.S. today.”

And that must be the message of gimlet-eyed fiscal conservatives in Washington who should wear the “obstructionist” badge proudly. Obstructionism in the name of fiscal sanity is no vice. Panicked profligacy in the name of blind bipartisanship is no virtue.
