If our media were serious about protecting this country, instead of ideological minions, they would have vetted this idiot and we would have either had Hillary or McCain as president… either is better than the Obummer, and any reasonable person should agree.
If the lefty media drones were so hot on having a black president, Obama has so tarnished that historic aspect of his election as to have probably set back race relations and the prospect of another minority president for decades.

GMA had a two-part segment on Bedell this morning. First came a reasonable report by Martha Raddatz. At one point, as images of the WTC in flames appeared, she did state that "there had been Internet postings, laced with conspiracy theories about 9-11, and government corruption." Raddatz stopped short of mentioning that Bedell explicitly accused the Bush admin of being behind 9-11, calling them a "murderous government" and "collection of gangsters" that sacrificed "thousands of its citizens" on September 11th.
But then came co-host Bill Weir, literally waving Janet Napolitano's report about "right-wing extremism" in the air, and wondering out loud to ABC consultant and former FBI agent Brad Garrett, who was willing to go along, about having seen this before "during past Democratic administrations."

I have fast become a great fan of Glenn Beck's T.V. show on the Fox News Channel. How refreshing it is to see this man have the freedom of speech rights as a news analyst (who is also very funny and entertaining, I might add) to discuss the things that many Americans want to hear about - but is either being muzzled or ignored by the rest of the Lamestream Media pundits.
Beck's shows are power-packed with information that the rest of the media refuses to report. I record it each day so that I don't miss one show. It also helps to be able to rewind and view again when blogging about an issue!
Today's show [Nice Deb has the videos!] is one that must not be missed! Glenn will have seven of the eight former ACORN board members who, up until now, have not been given any platform to tell their stories about their former involvement with ACORN. During Glenn's show, we will get the inside story (that others don't seem to want to touch with a ten foot pole!) and they will have the chance to express their opinions, concerns, and reasons why they believe that this organization has been highly corrupted.
Yesterday, Kevin Mooney of the Washington Examiner was a guest on Glenn's show. He reiterated the fact that ACORN has nefarious ties to SEIU. Mooney also reported that after his story came out in the newspaper, the SEIU took down their online link to ACORN. Hmmm....
Glenn is right! There is MUCH MORE CORRUPTION going on with these groups than has already been revealed by the lawsuits against ACORN in twelve states for voter registration fraud.. And, the fact that Obama was once a prominent "community organizer" involved with ACORN for years, it will be interesting to see what the former ACORN employees have to say about the time when ACORN changed from being a good organization into its current highly corrupted management.
During Wednesday's broadcast, Glenn pointed out that we didn't elect a president - we elected a community organizer who is now involved with the greatest power grab that this nation has ever seen! Obama wants to control - well - just about EVERYTHING through government.
NOT GOOD!!!
I think that we might find out much more about the intimidation methods of "community organizing" and the Chicago "pay to play" and "corruption" methods than we ever dreamed existed!! It will start with the information that the ACORN seven will share on Glenn's show today.
There was much more important information that Glenn covered on yesterday's show - i.e. the Montana ruling for states' rights, and the reason why the latest "stress test" was made public (think Alinsky rules for radicals and "community organizer" style politics for a hint) while the normal FDIC stress tests are never made public. But they are topics for another day. Or, see my sidebar because many bloggers are discussing them.
I want to focus on just a very short incident that Glenn shared while he was attending the Time magazine "most important people - or something like that" dinner. He mentioned that everyone in the room probably hates him. Well, if you ever see Olberdummy mock Mr. Beck, then you would not blame him for thinking that way.
While sitting at a table of reporters who most likely hate his guts, Glenn said (paraphrased here) - 'I know that we don't see eye to eye on most issues. But I'd like to ask a question. Has anyone here really thought about what our nation will look like four years from now with all of the spending that is going on in our government?'
One woman thought about it and said, (again, paraphrased here) 'No I haven't. I think that perhaps we should.'
Yeah...I think that perhaps EVERYONE SHOULD THINK ABOUT THE CONSEQUENCES OF SADDLING TRILLIONS OF DOLLARS WORTH OF DEBT ON OUR CHILDREN AND GRANDCHILDREN!!!

Glenn asked for us to pray for their safety. I have and will continue to do so.
However, I think that is the other five had shown up and millions of Americans had heard their stories, too, that they would be more protected due to the fact that they DID speak out - even when threatened (both before and after the show) by the "powers that be." There is something to be said for safety in numbers...in this case - safety in the number of people who now know the truth about corrupt ACORN!!!
While deciding just what I wanted to write prior to posting an excerpt from a new WorldNetDaily article, something just "jumped" right into my mind. It was a scene in the movie, "Hook" where Captain Hook (played brilliantly by Dustin Hoffman, btw) asks the seemingly innocent and innocuous questions, "Comfy?" "Cozy?"
That scene had all the makings of someone who is sneaky and tries to appear good, kind, friendly, accommodating, all inclusive, concerned for the welfare (of his victims) and trying to "make nice" in front of them. All the while, we, as the audience, aren't fooled. We are privy to, and instinctively know, Hook's ultimately evil intentions and desires.

Warning! It's time for another Talk Wisdom rant. Yesterday afternoon, I was visually tortured. Let me explain. My daughter and I needed to get pedicures. My toenails were so long they were curling over! (Guys...stay with me...it gets better.) In the summer, I usually keep up with the routine because I wear sandals almost all the time here in CA. It is the one luxury I treat us to on a regular basis. However, in the winter I can hide my feet in boots. Anyway, the salon that we frequent has a big screen T.V. for the customers. Sometimes it is on, sometimes it is not. This time, instead of the usual CNN broadcast that I have seen in the past, they had MSNBC on.
Oh great...
The "we despise and hate Bush" network.
I usually avoid their news shows like the plague. This time, sitting there - three yards away from this big screen T.V. with my feet in a whirlpool bath - I was practically forced to watch it. The show is called "1600 Pennsylvania Avenue" and David Shuster was the host.
Once they got past the "overt ObamaBorg Bot flattery of the day" segment about the "can do no wrong" Obama, Shuster interviewed Joe Klein? (I think?) from either Time or Newsweek. Call me lazy for not confirming which news rag it was. OK - just checked. It's in Time ragazine.
Just as they were going to cut to a commercial, the enticement clip mentioned what Klein has written about Bush's "legacy." I thought - oh great....here comes the Wrath of Klein-Klown.
And, just what was the "legacy" that Joke Klein attached to President Bush - calling it "the most despicable act of his administration?"

That's right - the actions of a few ignorant, wayward, most likely crazy liberal Democrat "soldiers" were being blamed on President Bush. What's more, the actions of SOME STUPID PEOPLE - who, unfortunately, happened to be in our military long enough to do despicable acts thus, allowing the Media of Mass Deception to tarnish the rest of the TRUE HEROES OF OUR MILITARY at the time - were being attributed to President Bush's eight years in office as his "legacy." Have you ever heard of anything so blatantly false and propagandized (Is that a word? OK - yes it is.) as this??
I looked around the room at the clientele. Many were busy reading magazines, ignoring the broadcast. They were the lucky ones. One woman, across the room was intently watching the news show. She had a look of absolute disbelief on her face. Yep...she was probably livid about the lies and hypocrisy being spewed by this supposed "journalist" who is nothing more than a liberal hack and hate monger of the Bush Administration.
I wonder. What are they going to do at MSNBC once President Bush is out of office? They won't have their "whipping boy" to pick on anymore!
Oh...that's right. Is anyone else out there bothered and worried about Barack Hussein Obama's refusal to share his positions about the current Middle East crisis going on between Israel and Hamas?
I know. He is hiding behind the statement that says, "there can only be one presidential administration at a time." I know. It is said that there can only be "one foreign policy" at a time.
So, what does this tell us?
Take the economic situation and policy decisions being made (and currently being planned by the new administration.) It's out in the open. In fact, Obama supposedly is having (or, may have already had) a news conference on the subject. Why is it OK for discussion of this but not the other? [Update: Just as has always been suspected of Obama's candidacy - he's into "spreading the wealth around." Of course, he is scaring people to death while encouraging it! The news conference showed this tactic - up front and center in Obama's remarks! Michael Reagan was ahead of Obama's game from the start:
1. The economy subject of "bailouts" are mostly agreed upon by both parties - with only a small segment of conservatives (who don't have ANY influential voice in Congress anymore) who would rather wait and see if the first bailouts work.
2. The foreign policy of the future Obama administration disagrees with the current Bush administration and will most likely drastically change direction. The nomination of a pansy, inexperienced candidate for the CIA chief position - Leon Panetta - is an indication of the 180 degree turn that Obama will take on intelligence gathering and foreign policy management. [Update: Jeremiah Films has links to several articles concerned about this appointment, too!]
Therefore, Obama does not want to show the public "his hand" yet.
I think that Israel already knows that her security will mostly fall upon Her own shoulders once Obama is in office. The steadfast loyalty, security, unconditional stance and friendship of the United States government (of the past) with Israel might (tragically) be severely at risk.
I know. I sound like an alarmist. I sincerely hope that I AM WRONG about this. However, the indications so far don't look good regarding the Obama foreign policy inferences that we are currently getting.
I realize that my assumptions are coming from an "argument from silence." However, I can't shake the feeling and belief that if Obama was truly, in fact, ready to defend Israel against all enemies - like past administrations have - then he would have stated much more emphatically that he agrees with the Bush administration that Israel has the right to defend herself in the current battle with Hamas terrorists.
This morning, I was reading a back issue of Newsmax magazine. There was an ad in it from an organization called "FLAME" which stands for Facts and Logic About the Middle East. I have heard of this organization in the past and have read some of their ads. However, I have not had the time to read much at the website. If you click on the link above and scroll down, you will see several links to various ads that they have shared in magazine publications to help educate people about the truth regarding the conflicts going on in the Middle East. Their goal is to separate fact from fiction, truth from myths, and logic from propaganda regarding Israel and the Arab nations that hate her, despise her, surround her and outrightly have declared their wish to destroy her.
Went back to the link (above) and found a few ads that I think are very important to read:
Israel’s attempt to stop the shelling of Sderot has so far been a failure. But what should Israel do? The answer is obvious: Israel should openly declare to Gaza and to the world at large that every rocket that falls on Sderot or on any place in Israel will immediately be responded to by a rocket aimed at where it came from. Since Gaza is packed with humanity, it is clear that such a tit-for-tat approach would cause many civilian casualties. That would be a tragedy, of course. But, it is pretty clear that the rockets would stop in short order. Sure, “the world” would object. But a country’s first duty is to protect its citizens from attack. That is what we would do. That is the very least any country would do.
That paragraph was practically prophetic in its declaration that "the world would object." We have seen the pro-Palestinian protests going on in several parts of the world - including - unfortunately, the United States.

It is a well known fact that our news media is run by the far-left. Most, unfortunately, may think that they can hide their true positions on the Israeli/Arab conflicts. However, the truth is that many are secretly, if not openly anti-Zionist. Many far left Democrats are, too.

Several posts ago, I put up a link to Mike Rucker's blog post called "Wars With No Victors." Mike shared a letter he had received from a man named "Bill Burton." In the comment thread, I asked Mike if this was the same "Bill Burton" (recall, he often did commentary on the Fox News Channel) who worked on Obama's campaign. Mike seemed to think that it probably wasn't the same man. Maybe so. But if it was, then perhaps we could draw some inkling about where Obama might stand regarding "Zionism." I found the following question quite intriguing. The question was asked, Christians and Israel Are Christians Israel’s supporters or its detractors? and when I clicked on the essay answer it revealed what I have often suspected about many, if not most of America's "religious left's" feelings and opinions about Israel:
Is “divestment” the new anti-Semitism? In contrast to the Evangelicals’ solid support of Israel stand certain “mainline” leftists-oriented churches. On the forefront are the mainline Presbyterians. In 2000, they launched a campaign to divest from five U.S. companies (Caterpillar, Motorola, United Technologies, ITT, and CitiGroup), which they claim are complicit in Israel’s mistreatment and suppression of the Arabs under their administration.
The United Church of Christ (UCC) took similar action and it seems that the Episcopalian hierarchy is also contemplating such a course. The Anglicans, the British equivalent of the Episcopalians, passed a similar resolution last year. Gratifyingly, most of the rank and file of these churches entirely disagrees with their leaders. It provokes their outrage and has also caused bipartisan condemnation in Congress.
As far as the robust Israeli economy is concerned, any possible divestment by those churches would not be much more than a pinprick. But what is significant and important is that, in hypocritical self-righteousness, those church leaders have cloaked their antipathy toward the Jews in the socially more acceptable mantle of anti-Zionism or anti-Israelism. Would those elders recommend that their church divest from Spain for their “suppression of the Basques,” from China for the “subjugation of the Tibetans,” or from the Arab countries for their ruthless exclusion and worse of their fellow Christian citizens, the genocide of their blacks, and for the mistreatment of women? Of course not – it is Israel, the only democratic country in the entire Middle East, that merits the condemnation of the leaders of those mainline churches. It makes one wonder, doesn’t it!
Contrast that with what is known about the steadfast support of Evangelical Christians for Israel and Her people:
One solid friend of Israel came to the fore. Today, American Evangelicals are the staunchest supporters of Israel. This support is largely based on the faith shared with the Jews that the land of Israel was willed by God to the children of Israel. It is a primary reason for America's friendship and solidarity with Israel. The Evangelicals believe that their end-of-time scenario will be hastened by the establishment of a Jewish state in that land.
Jews fully reciprocate the love that the Evangelicals feel for Israel. Christian institutions in Israel thrive and have the support and full protection of the government. Christian schools, Christian churches and other Christian institutions prosper. A large Christian pilgrimage center is to be built in cooperation with American Evangelicals. A Christian embassy in Jerusalem represents the interests of Christians in Israel and serves as messenger about Israel throughout the world.
[J]ews and the State of Israel can rejoice in the solid friendship and the sturdy support of American Evangelical Christians. Also, the Roman Catholic Church, under the wise guidance of the saintly late John Paul II, has recognized its crimes against the Jews over the centuries and has asked for forgiveness and understanding. It is only the hypocritical leaders of certain mainline Protestant churches who, against the will and belief of their rank and file, derogate the State of Israel and promote the phony issue of divestment of companies that supposedly support its alleged mistreatment of the Arabs under its administration and the violation of their human rights.

What type of "Christian" church did Obama hail from?

I received a heart-wrenching email from an Internet acquaintance last night. He is so extremely concerned about what will happen to our nation once Obama is in office. Can't blame him one bit. I don't want America to become a Communist nation, either!
Well, I still hold out hope (filled with much prayer, too) that the truth about Obama's natural born citizenship status (or, lack thereof) will be once and for all proven and resolved. There are many people - (including Janet Porter of Faith2Action.org who wrote an absolutely breathtaking article over at World Net Daily) - working to do just that!
There are several bits of information that I'd like to share which may give you some additional hope.
More than a half dozen lawsuits have been filled demanding that Obama produce the original document to prove natural born citizenship. The Obama camp has dismissed these lawsuits as 'garbage'.Most courts have already dismissed these suits as 'vague' and 'without standing'. But if Joe Citizen is 'without standing' to require a candidate to meet the basic Constitutional requirements for office, then who does? How about another candidate for President.
"Alan Keyes, Presidential candidate of the American Independent Party, Wiley S. Drake, V.P. candidate of the Independent Party and California elector, and Markham Robinson, California elector have filed this lawsuit to prevent California from certifying their electors until satisfactory proof is produced that Obama is in fact a natural born citizen..."
It appears that we have a very uninformed electorate out there (hey, don't get mad - I could have phrased it the way Michele Malkin did at her blog) - but I didn't! ;-)
Of course, the media of mass deception is mostly to blame for this. However, each individual voter is also to blame for their own ignorance on important information surrounding each and every candidate. When a person (on the video) claims that he gets most of his "news" from the Bill Maher show - well - you get the kind of Obama voters that we got in the 2008 election.
But take heart! Truth is on the horizon! I just know it!
I was gratified to see that a full-page ad (thanks to Philip J. Berg Esquire of ObamaCrimes.com) is going out in the Washington Times National Weekly which asks three very important questions which have, as of yet, gone unanswered:
As news of the questions about Obama's citizenship status spreads, more and more people are getting actively involved with wanting proof of his natural born citizen status.

"Just as we were about to start the 10 a.m. press conference at the Grand Regency Hotel in Nairobi, Kenyan immigration approached us and detained us," Corsi told WND by telephone this morning. "Tim Bueler, my publicist, and I are now in the immigration offices, with our passports taken. The immigration officer told the press, 'There is no problem, and Dr. Corsi is a friend of Kenya.'"
Corsi and Bueler are booked on a British Airways flight to London tonight, an airline agent confirmed to WND. But Joseph Farah, WND editor and CEO, said he was in touch with Corsi until about 9:30 a.m. Eastern today and has not been able to reach him for several hours.
"We also hear unconfirmed reports from the government claiming it has 'deported' Corsi," Farah said. "Since Corsi was scheduled to leave the country today, this would seem to be a strange action from a government that was well aware of Corsi's presence, his travels and his activities in the country for the last week."

Yeah right...Corsi is "enjoying his holiday in Kenya." I surely doubt that being wisked away by immigration officials just before he was scheduled to report his findings is an "enjoy your holiday" moment!

When E.D. The movie was excellent!!! It is my desire, and plan, to prepare a much more detailed review of "Expelled." I definitely want to see it again!!!

This preliminary review does not contain all of my personal feelings and reactions to everything that was covered in the movie. As I had previously stated, I will reserve most of that for my next detailed review. However, I must share some of my feelings, today, about a few parts that demonstrated how stunningly cruel Godless mankind can be.
The good part about this film is its honesty and humor. There were many scenes where I found myself laughing out loud! Ben Stein did a marvelous job with this documentary! He masterfully injected lots of humor throughout the beginning of the film.
Closer to the conclusion...my eyes welled with tears. The portion on Eugenics being inflicted upon the "sick," "mentally ill," and/or other "undesirables" during the Nazi era (at the place were such people were experimented on and exterminated) was so emotionally gripping! It is appalling to realize that such evil was inflicted by the Nazis who were intent on creating a "superior race." It is truly a frightening example of how history proves that Godless, unrestrained man has a natural penchant for evil, criminality and brutal inhumanity.
The entire theater was so quiet at that point. I could tell that many, if not all of the people were having an extreme emotional reaction to what they were seeing and hearing.
We can clearly see that the current 'culture of death' here in America, as well as in many places around the world, often emanates from atheism (or, in the case of radical Islam - belief in a false god) that many proponents (I'M NOT SAYING ALL SO DON'T SCREAM AT ME!) of Darwinian philosophy hold.
Though, only mentioned briefly, the abortion philosophy of Eugenics adherent, Margaret Sanger, reflects many today who hopelessly and maddeningly manage to just shrug their shoulders at child murder in the womb. To me, abortion is just as unconscionable as the Eugenics mentality of the Nazis. But the abortion industry earns many people and organizations millions of dollars. Apparently, money is more important than the lives of unborn children. We have our own shameful American 'Holocaust of abortion' perpetrated by evil groups like Planned Infanticide.
Of course the horrendous history and description of Nazi Germany's Holocaust tore me up as it usually does any time that the topic comes up.
As I had previously mentioned, it is difficult to review this film without giving away a lot of its content. When I post my detailed review, it will have many more movie spoilers...so I hope that you will go out and see the movie before you read it!
Today, I would like to share where my interest in this very important subject began.
Starting in 1999, I attended a series of lectures on Intelligent Design at BIOLA University (mentioned in the film). Here is a portion of what I had learned back then that was finally exposed in this excellent movie!!
In “First Things,” Phillip E. Johnson wrote, “Those in scientific leadership cannot afford to disclose that commitment (to materialism) frankly to the public. Imagine what chance the affirmative side would have if the question for public debate were rephrased candidly as ‘Resolved, that everyone should adopt an a priori commitment to materialism.’ Everyone would see what many now sense dimly: that a methodological premise which is useful for limited purposes has been expanded to form a metaphysical absolute.”
“People who define science as the search for materialistic explanations will find it useful to assume that such explanations always exist. To suppose that a philosophical preference can validate a cherished theory is to define ’science’ as a way of supporting prejudice. Yet that is exactly what the Darwinists seem to be doing when their evidence is evaluated by critics who are willing to question materialism.”
Many scientists and philosophers think that a dedication to materialism is the defining characteristic of science. If design in biology is real, then the designer also might be real, and scientific materialists contemplate this possibility (if at all) with outright panic. The concept that the universe is the product of a rational mind provides a far better metaphysical basis for scientific rationality than the competing concept that everything in the universe, including our minds, is ultimately based in the mindless movements of matter.
As Phillip E. Johnson had stated seven years ago, if the commitment to such materialistic explanation were exposed to the public, then people would realize the REAL reason that Intelligent Design is being rejected by scientist elitists in academia today.
"Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed" was far better than I thought that it would be. Far better than I even could have hoped it would be!! It gets to the heart of the controversy, and how one side is not only dominating its presentation of its particular worldview, but also firing people (i.e. university professors, journalists) who don't "toe the line" towards Darwinism exclusivism. Its like a dogma! It is "political correctness" taken to an unnecessary extreme! It is, in fact, a type of "religion"!
It will be difficult to write a review without giving away the most important facts that Stein uncovered and exposed to the public via this film!! Everyone in the theater yesterday clapped at the end!!

This film answers that question...precisely...and exposes how one side (Darwinism elitists) have used the universities, media, and the courts to erect a "Berlin Wall" preventing the free speech, presentation of a worldview, and ideas of those who hold counter scientific views (with evidence to support such views) against the "sacred cow" of Evolution (particularly macro-evolution which is really an extrapolation of the evidence for micro-evolution used to create a long-held but worthless fairy tale portion of the theory).
What is most obvious in all of this is the fact that intelligence in science matters!! However, it is being squelched by those who fear that a competing theory might have some measure of merit. ID is currently only able to chip away at that Berlin Wall, but when more of the public find out the REAL MOTIVES of why such a Wall is up in academic circles, they will most likely protest and work to change what is going on!
Those who have lost their jobs because of speaking out against the "powers that be" in science academia are the real heroes - because they have determined to follow the evidence where it is now leading - despite being forced to lose such things as tenure/jobs in their fields of expertise.
Everyone, please go out and buy "The Privileged Planet" to help support one such science professor (Guillermo Gonzalez) who was denied tenure because the book he co-wrote showed SCIENTIFIC EVIDENCE that our planet is, indeed PRIVILEGED because of evidence of design (and because of such design - a purpose for our lives) in the Cosmos!
For some reason, I missed the closing song on American Idol Wednesday night. Today, I must say that I am glad that I did. Why? Because I would have been very unhappy, but not surprised, that the lyrics of "Shout to the Lord" were altered to purposely eliminate the name of Jesus from the performance. Just more of the typical, MSM bias against Christianity.
It's O.K. for Maria Schriver to mention Gandhi during her speech on stage. But mentioning the Name above all names, Jesus Christ, is off limits? SHEESH!!!! How intolerant can it get?
Fast forward to last night. I was out for most of the afternoon for well into the evening. Returned home at 10:15. During the ride home, one friend sent me a text message saying, "shocker on Idol." Since I didn't want to wait until I got home to review the taping of the show, I replied back, "who got voted off?" She wrote back, "Michael." Yes. That was indeed a shocker! He has been one of my favorites!! I was so sad. However, like Paula Abdul pointed out, he can now get his singing career started!
My husband (and our two dogs) greeted me as I walked into our home. He asked whether or not I knew who got voted off. I told him "Michael" and how upset I was to hear that. Then, he said, "come and look at a portion of the taping, it's unbelievable!"

"The song they sang at the opening of the show."
My heart sank. I thought that something awful must have been presented...worried that they had finally stooped so low that they chose a Marilyn Manson song or something!
I sat down to watch. Ryan Seacrest announced that the song would be "Shout to the Lord."
I was AMAZED! COMPLETELY AND TOTALLY FLABBERGASTED! My eyes teared up the moment they started to sing that song with the lyrics, "My Jesus, my Savior, Lord there is none like you..."
My son came out of his room and watched it again with us. We all could not believe that American Idol would not only choose such a song for it's contestants, but would actually allow them to sing a song with Jesus' name in it! I was so thrilled! My husband mentioned that he had gone online and downloaded the song on a CD for me. He said that the iTunes version is even better! Then, he also said that the Internet is abuzz with anger because the Idol contestants originally performed the song by substituting "My Jesus" with "My Shepherd."
Now I was confused. I asked him when and where they had performed the song in that way? He didn't know. He did not see the end of the Idol Gives Back special either.
I clicked on the Youtube link to view the altered version from the Wednesday night show.
I watched the video all the way to the end. After they sang that altered version of the song, Ben Stiller appeared on an empty stage, cursing out Ryan Seacrest for not telling him that the show was being broadcast from the Kodak theater that night. They had to bleep out his all of his curse words.
I thought...what a TERRIBLE way to end the show! Especially that particular one! Also, how shameful it was for Stiller to use that awful language directly after the singing of a worship song so familiar and beloved by Christians worldwide! Didn't it seem quite odd for the theme of the show to go from a wonderful, God-honoring atmosphere directly into the filthy language of a pagan, secular culture?
There are comments all over the place about this! Both at the Idol website and at Youtube. Here is just one:

The name they censored is Jesus. Unless of course the idolaters are worshipping some other king? Ummmmm, what's his name? SATAN. Luke 9:26: "For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father's, and of the holy angels." AI=False prophet ism.
How true! Eliminate the name of Jesus and you have a different 'god.'
Fortunately, Jesus' name was included in last night's broadcast.
The lyrics of that song are so powerful BECAUSE OF WHO THEY ARE ABOUT...JESUS! Without Him, the song falls flat. I am very grateful that the show corrected itself the next day.
Did you notice how much more excited several of the contestants were during the performance of the song (with Jesus in the lyrics) last night?
God bless Kristy Lee Cook! She pointed up towards heaven at the end of the performance - showing how she recognizes the GENUINE PERSON OF JESUS CHRIST as our focus of worship in that song!

I am really surprised at this! You would think that the audience level for "Idol Gives Back" would be at an equal level since so many stars appeared on the show's special! Perhaps people have more interest in rising stars rather than current stars? But Miley Cyrus of "Hannah Montana" fame was on the show! You would think that all of her fans would be watching!
The birthplace of the Web, Cern, which is based near Geneva, is now busy working on "the grid" that boasts speeds nearly 10,000 times faster than a typical Broadband connection, and that may soon render the Web obsolete.
The grid computing project was started around seven years ago by researchers at Cern. They claim "the grid" is so fast it is capable of sending the entire Rolling Stones back catalogue from Britain to Japan in less than two seconds.
With that kind of computing power, future generations will be able to collaborate and communicate in ways that older people cannot even imagine, said Professor of Physics at Glasgow University and leading light of the project.
Scientists at Cern intend to activate "the grid" this summer alongside what they term as 'red button day' when they will switch on the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) or the new particle accelerator built to probe the origin of the Universe.
The scary part of that 'red button day' is what one of the men interviewed said about switching on the Large Hadron Collider at the end of the segment. He said (paraphrased here) 'we shall see if it works...that is...if we don't blow ourselves up first!'

THE LISA MILLER CASE:
Would you want your six-year-old daughter subjected to court-ordered week-long visitations with a woman she hasn't seen since she was 2 years old - a woman who is neither her mother nor her grandmother but a woman who is not related to her in any way?
What would you do if you were threatened with losing custody of your daughter if you did not follow the court’s directives perfectly?
This case involves Lisa Miller and six-year-old Isabella. Your parental rights are being put in jeopardy - as are Virginia's Marriage Amendment and Defense of Marriage Act - as Virginia's laws are pitted against the liberal laws of the state of Vermont.
Lisa was and is a Virginia resident. She and another woman went to Vermont to enter into a civil union. They returned to Virginia and Lisa conceived a child - Isabella. Lisa became a Christian, left the relationship, and dissolved the civil union in Vermont. Now the other woman wants visitation and sole custody, while Lisa is the rightful, legitimate mother of Isabella. The other woman never adopted Isabella, nor did she want to do so.
The Vermont Courts have ordered visitation under very specific terms and conditions, and if those conditions are not met by Lisa, then the Court will award sole custody to the other woman. Visitation includes weekend visits in Vermont - a logistical nightmare for a gainfully employed Lisa and a first grader.
Earlier, Virginia's lower court ruled in Vermont's favor, which resulted in this case being appealed to the Virginia Supreme Court. The Court will hear the oral arguments in this case on Thursday, April 17.

In an online parody of the coverage of Obama, the Media Research Center made up a story describing an appearance by NBC’s Lee Cowan on CNN’s Larry King Live. Cowan confessed how nervous he was to be assigned to cover the senator.
“I wondered would I be able to do him justice?” the parody quoted Cowan as saying. “Would I ever be able to express the way the edges of his mouth curl up ever so slightly when he laughs?”
Other media contacts pointed out how the racial aspect of the Rev. Wright story scared journalists away. In fact, I received many e-mails accusing me of being a racist. Despite the sensitivity, Chris Ruddy, CEO and editor in chief of Newsmax, never flinched.
According to pollsters, largely as a result of the stories about Wright, Obama’s double-digit lead over Hillary Clinton in national polls vanished for a time. At the same time, John McCain shot up in the polls. If the media had picked up the stories on Wright earlier, Obama very likely would have come out behind Hillary in the primaries.
Having come from the mainstream media, I am often asked why the media is so corrupt. In part because they don’t want to cut off cooperation, the media have always been afraid to run stories that are deeply damaging to a candidate who is a favorite of liberal reporters and editors. But when I was at the Washington Post during the Watergate period and later, we would have been fired for writing some of the unfair stories that routinely run today against Republicans.
Competition from cable networks and the internet has contributed to the frenzy to write irresponsible stories. But I cannot explain why a herd mentality seems to have convinced journalists that they can get away with covering the campaign in a slanted, partisan way.
In fact, they can’t: The marketplace is holding the mainstream media accountable. While competition from the internet has been the biggest factor, the decline of what Laura Ingraham calls the “dinosaur media” is in part because readers simply don’t trust it.
