The Myth of Separation of Church and State

I read an article link while over at the TEA Party Community this morning, and wanted to share the article here along with some thoughts that I had after reading it.

I am not a Constitutional scholar (as Barry Soetoro seems to claim - ha!), and I'm not extremely well read on all of the interpretations of our Founding Documents.  However, I think that I have a good general knowledge of them; as well as how and why our founding came about.  Moreover, my 24 years of Bible study has helped me see that the truth of our founding is entrenched in Judeo-Christian laws, faith, and values that come directly from the Bible.

I would like to draw your attention to the long comment posted there underneath the essay. The author of that comment seems to be saying (at least that is how I interpreted it) that a completely secular government here in the U.S. was the goal of the writers of the Constitution. However, I disagree with that and here is why.

Before the Constitution was written, The Declaration of Independence came first. The document is filled with acknowledgement of God and pointed towards the fact that England's king usurped power by inflicting governmental power over the colonies (and, thus, was taking away their God given rights) while at the same time, the powers-that-be in England tried to form one government approved certain Christian denomination over the people. 

Our nation is (or was) based on Judeo-Christian values in order to preserve our freedoms, liberty, and justice.  But when government becomes all too powerful, it leads to tyranny.  Our freedoms, including religious freedom, are taken away.  Without God's Word as a guide, our nation would not have existed (IMHO) and this "great experiment" would not have survived.  Now, I'm not so sure of our survival anymore.  Those who would have us become a socialist/communist/Islamo-fascist nation are intent on rejecting the very principles, morals, values, and ethics that allowed us to become great in the first place.  They are getting away with corruption, deception, propaganda, and downright evil - all the things that created Nazi Germany, Leninist and Stalinist Russia,  Imperial Japan, and all of the communist nations with dictators (like Mao) that have killed hundreds of millions of people. 

The way I see it is that denying (or repressing) our Judeo-Christian values is having a devastatingly negative effect on our culture, government, freedoms, liberty, and the justice that used to exist here.

The current attempt to bring Muslim sharia law into our nation is proof that such a religion (more like a political jihadist "religion" of force) is detrimental to our Constitutional Republic and needs to be suppressed.  Why?  Because they want a caliphate - which means that their goal is to take over (by jihad) not only the U.S. but the world.  Even the perpetrators of radical Islam admit that Christianity or Judaism cannot exist in their world.  Even the non-religious aren't safe.  Christians, Jews and secularists are all labeled as infidels and deserving of death if we don't convert to Islam.  This is according to their "holy" book, the Koran.

I think that the balance of church and state can exist while not infringing upon religious beliefs that come from the Bible.  False religions and dangerous cults notwithstanding, the plumb line of Scripture guided our Founders towards envisioning a Republic (as Franklin stated when created - "We have given you a Republic...if you can keep it.") 

The principles that our nation was built on can only be kept by those with faith in God - and is not achievable without Him.  Why?  Because without the Creator and Judge of the Universe as a basis for good, anything goes and evil will flourish.  Just a few of my thoughts on this issue.

About That "Second Coming" Reference

Yesterday, I watched C-Span's pre-inaugural call-in show for about 15 minutes.  It was all I could stand.  The "pro-BHO" calls, newspaper articles, tweets etc. were running about 4-1 in favor of BHO compared to those presented in opposition.   I shouldn't be surprised.  Just like the rest of the media of mass corruption,  C-Span had long ago been taken over by the Commies!

One Republican caller stated that he would be cleaning out his attic instead of watching the spectacle of Marxist blathering that would be going on at the event.  Ha!  Time well spent!

I didn't listen to BHO's speech, but this morning, Fox News had a few clips and there was so much divisiveness in it!  It shows that the masquerade that BHO presented to the OBorgBots is no longer needed.  He can reveal his true evil self now.  Once again, it made me grieve for our nation.

Newsweek had a cover of a profile of BHO with "the second coming" written underneath. 

Know what?

 The BHO admiration society lemmings may not realize it now; but they just don't get how much more awful their destiny is about to become under the coming tyranny.

Believing that BHO is a "messiah" is so laughable. It is also very creepy! Most thinking people who haven't been hypnotized by this fraud already know what a communist and radical Islamist sympathizer he is!!

I haven't read the article that accompanies the Newsweek cover with BHO on it. However, I do think that the reference to the "second coming" of BHO (if compared to Jesus Christ) contains a not-so-hidden message from the far left lunatics that could be considered to be quite scary.

While reading a devotional this morning, a connection was made by me.

As Christian believers we "groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body" (See Romans 8:23)

This place is not our home.

Jesus told us that "in this world we will have trouble." We are strangers in a strange land, and the closer we get to the end times the more evident this becomes.

When we go back into the Old Testament, prophets had the pieces to the prophetic puzzle but they didn't always see the completed picture like Bible believing and studying Christians can, and do.

For example, when Jesus quoted from the book of Isaiah 61:1-2 in the synagogue in Nazareth (Luke 4:16-19), He quoted all the passage except the part about "the day of vengeance of our God" since that would be fulfilled at His Second Coming, not His first. Isaiah saw both parts of the Messiah's ministry--good news and judgment--but didn't see the separation between the two.

Fortunately, we have the advantage of hindsight of both the Old and New Testaments of the Bible that gives us the completed picture. The full circle, if you will, of Jesus Christ is that He was first  born into this world to give us a life that's forgiven, and raised to give us a life that's forever.

His body was sown perishable, but was raised imperishable.

It was sown in dishonor, but was raised in glory.

It was sown in weakness but raised in power.

I would venture to say that BHO's first political "coming" as pResident in 2008 was the complete opposite.

He was born to eventually be ushered in as a tyrannical leader and give America a life that's divisive between white vs. black, rich vs. poor, Christian vs. Muslim, Jewish vs. Muslim, liberal vs. conservative, moral vs. immoral, and ultimately extremely harmful towards what our Founders envisioned.  His political "second coming" will be more of the same, but even worse!  The vengeance of BHO (which was a favorite topic in his campaign speeches) against Americans he disagrees with has not even begun!

BHO is virulently destructive to our U.S. Constitution. He tramples upon it and disregards the fact that our nation was born as a Judeo/Christian one; and our Declaration of Independence was written as a result of the Founders desire to follow the Ten Commandments in the Bible.

If the left wants to think of BHO as their "messiah," how terribly disappointed they will be when they finally realize that BHO's body, mind, soul, and spirit was sown perishable (and remains that way unless he repents of his sins and turns from his reprobate mindset) and his ideology is "nothing new under the sun" but a throw-back to tyrants of death from history.   He will use them, then dispose of them when their useful-idiot status is no longer needed.

BHO was raised into the political world in secular humanistic "glory" (which never lasts) but will one day be sown in eternal dishonor.

BHO appears to have been raised into the political world of secular humanism in power, but will one day be sown into an ultimate, never-ending hell of weakness.

BHO will inevitably one day be raised imperishable in order to face judgment. The trouble is, without genuine belief in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, BHO will join all of those who out rightly reject Jesus Christ and will appear at the White Throne Judgment. It is a judgment where each sinner who has died has done so with their own sins on their soul. Spending eternity in separation from God leaves a person vulnerable to the pain of experiencing death that never ends. Recall the story of Lazarus and the rich king.

 Only the born again believers in Christ will face the Judgment Seat of Christ and be able to say that belief in Christ's sacrificial death and His forgiveness for their sins has saved them from the judgment of eternal hell fire. Because of Christ's sacrifice, we can claim the words of the hymnist as our own:

 "Living, He loved me; dying He saved me; buried He carried my sins far away; rising He justified freely forever; one day He's coming--O glorious day" (Wilber Chapman, 1908).

In another prophetic portion of Scripture from the Old Testament, we read in Numbers 24:17 -

I see Him, but not now; I behold Him, but not near; a Star shall come out of Jacob; a Scepter shall rise out of Israel...

Dr. David Jeremiah writes:

Jesus is called a "Star" three times in Scripture. In Numbers 24, Balaam predicted a Messiah in the far future, rising like a star from the descendants of Jacob. Second Peter 1:19 talks about the Morning Star rising in our hearts. And in Revelation 22:16, Jesus called Himself "the Bright and Morning Star."

In astronomy, the bright and morning star is not literally a star, but the planet Venus that appears in the eastern sky just before dawn and is one of the brightest objects in the sky.  The sight of this "star" is a sign that night is nearly over.

It's symbolic of Christ.  The dark epoch of earth's history is nearly past.  Soon the Lord will rise from His throne like the Star of Morning, ushering in an eternal day for His children.  Just as He came the first time, so He will come again.  And we "do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your heart"  (2 Peter 1:19).

America's Providential History

About a week ago, the mailman accidentally (or, perhaps, providentially?) left a copy of my neighbor's "Enjoying Everyday Life" magazine in my mailbox.  It is published by Joyce Meyer Ministries.*  I found the same magazine online, and wanted to share a commentary about a book that I think all Americans should read.  The book is entitled, "America's Providential History." by Mark A. Beliles and Stephen K. McDowell.

The two authors of the book wrote an excerpt and placed it in the "America At Its Best" section of the magazine.  It is entitled "A Land of Religious Freedom:  God's Plan of Colonization for the United States."

I am looking forward to getting a copy of this book.  It was written for the purpose of giving readers insight into God's hand at work as we discover the true and genuine history of America (often, unfortunately, left out of secular classrooms) and the spreading of the Gospel worldwide.

One of the most intriguing aspects of the birth of our nation is contained in this quote:

"Every attempt to colonize...the U.S. was met with failure.  God was preserving [it] for a people He had yet to prepare."

No wonder our Founders spoke and wrote about Divine Providence in our Founding Documents!  They truly knew, realized, and respected God's Hand at work in the birth of our great nation!

Our nation is in moral, financial, educational, and especially spiritual trouble.  Why?  Many reasons, but the lack of good leadership stands out since 2008.  I continue to pray for restoration of our nation and the future appointment(s) of more Godly leaders

In 1492, Christopher Columbus [whose name meant “The Christbearer”] opened up the New World to civilization. We all know of this event, but do we know what motivated Columbus to embark on such an arduous and dangerous journey? The following excerpts from his diary will tell us.

“It was the Lord who put it into my mind —I could feel His hand upon me—the fact that it would be possible to sail from here to the Indies…

“All who heard of my project rejected it with laughter, ridiculing me… There is no question that the inspiration was from the Holy Spirit, because He comforted me with rays of marvelous illumination from the Holy Scriptures… For the execution of the journey to the Indies, I did not make use of intelligence, mathematics, or maps. It is simply the fulfillment of what Isaiah had prophesied…

While Columbus discovered the New World, God did not allow the country from which he sailed to colonize the territory which originally comprised the United States. ...Explorers carried with them the seeds of religious tyranny, and God had plans for America to be planted with seeds of liberty.

Historian Daniel Dorchester writes:

“While thirst for gold, lust of power, and love of daring adventure served the Providential purpose of opening the New World to papal Europe, and Roman Catholic colonies were successfully planted in some portions, the territory originally comprised within the United States was mysteriously guarded and reserved for another—a prepared people.”

During the century following the discovery of the New World, colonization occurred in much of South and Central America. In 1493 the Pope gave Africa, Asia, and Brazil to Portugal and the rest of Latin America to Spain.  This is reflected in the colonization that followed.  Every attempt to colonize the territory comprising the original United States was met with failure.  God was preserving this land for a people whom He had yet to prepare.


In 1497, John Cabot, landing near the St. Lawrence River, laid claim to America for England. At this time, England, as all of Europe lived under civil and religious tyranny, yet…God would be at work in the sixteenth century to assure that this was changed.

B.F. Morris writes of God’s providential hand at work during this era:

“No era in history is more signally and sublimely marked than that of the discovery and Christian colonization of the North American continent.

“The intervening century was in many respects the most important period of the world; certainly the most important in modern times. More marked and decided changes, affecting science, religion, and liberty, occurred in that period than had occurred in centuries before; and all these changes were just such as to determine the Christian character of this country. Meantime, God held this vast land in reserve, as the great field on which the experiment was to be made in favor of a civil and religious liberty. He suffered not the food of Spaniard, or Portuguese, or Frenchman, or Englishman to come upon it until the changes had been wrought in Europe which would make it certain that it would always be a land of religious freedom.”

Election 2012: America's Next Crucial Date With Destiny

I am currently reading a book called "America's Dates With Destiny."  In the chapter "Declaration Of Independence Signed," we find out precisely what the motivation was behind the creators and signers of the document in declaring America's independence from King George III in England.

We can only imagine how furious the king was after receiving the document.  In fact, he dispatched Admiral Lord Howe on an emergency mission to Staten Island in order to demand that the declaration be revoked.  The king thought of himself so highly that the thought of "his subjects" in America refusing to obey the king's laws - by declaring their freedom from his tyranny - must have infuriated him!  What the king didn't realize is that the "subjects" in America were appealing to a higher law - the "Laws of Nature and of Nature's God."

That phrase had a very specific meaning in the eighteenth century.  John Locke (1632-1704), the British philosopher, said it quite simply:

"The law of nature stands as an eternal rule of all men, legislators as well as others.  The rules that they make for other men's actions must... be conformable to the law of nature....i.e. to the will of God." (11)

Sir William Blackstone (1732-80), the great teacher of the English common law, wrote:

"Man, considered as a creature, must necessarily be subject to the laws of his Creator, for he is entirely a dependent being....And, consequently, as man depends absolutely upon his Maker for everything, it is necessary that he should in all points conform to his Maker's will.  This will of his Maker, is called the law of nature." (12)
 

The book goes on to describe that one law of nature is gravity.  This could be described as "the will of God revealed in creation."  Gravity is a law written into the workings of this world by the Creator.  You don't have to believe in God to understand the law or to witness its power, but the law is there nevertheless, and breaking it results in immediate and sometimes painful consequences.

But King George had broken God's revealed law.  He had overstepped the limits of his authority established by God in the Scriptures and noted by the Magna Carta.  Again, using Locke and Blackstone as our guides, we might categorize those eternal laws that limit a ruler's power as the will of God revealed in Holy Scripture.  Blackstone wrote, "Upon these two foundations, the law of Nature and the law of Revelation, depend all human law; that is to say, no human laws should be suffered to contradict these."  (13)

We can definitely see how far our government has strayed from the original intent of both the Declaration and our U.S. Constitution.  They have done so at the extreme detriment to our nation.  There is A LOT than needs to be fixed.  But even a new leader can't fix it all at once.  It took decades to get to this point of the brink of destruction that we face (financially, economically, morally, internationally, militarily, and especially spiritually) and the only leader who will solve it all is Jesus Christ at the time of his return.  Living in the future Millennium will show us what the ultimate temporal life is like - and will adhere to the "Laws of Nature and of Nature's God" perfectly!  Meanwhile, we suffer under imperfect (and, unfortunately, often evil) "leaders" due to the "god of this world" and his penchant for spreading relentless evil, sin, and death.  But there is hope eternal - and that rests ONLY in the Son of God - Jesus Christ!

Back to the book chapter.

We have already discussed the Declaration's source of our Liberty.  Next, we find the Unalienable Rights of Mankind.

"Then, in the second paragraph, they got down to some specifics of that law, beginning with these eight wonderful words:  "We hold these truths to be self-evident...."

Jefferson, Madison, Franklin, and the others were about to list the great truths that led to the birth of our nation and to the eventual creation of a better kind of government.  Yet they told King George at the outset that those same truths with all their historic consequences were "self-evident" -- that is, they were plain, widely recognized, and needed no further proof or explanation.

Then they listed these obvious truths:

That all men are created equal,
that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights,
that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.
That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men,
deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed,
That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive to these end, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it.
 

The book goes on to ask the question:

And where did our forefathers find this basic list of unalienable human rights?  Again, they found them in the Bible.  God is the giver of life.  Moses said it in the Old Testament:  "And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being." (17)

God is the giver of liberty.  The Apostle Paul proclaimed it in the New Testament:  "Now the Lord is the Spirit:  and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty."  (18)

And God is the giver of humanity's right  to pursuit happiness.  King Solomon wrote about the pursuit of happiness in his ancient book of wisdom:  "And also that every man should eat and drink and enjoy the good of all his labor--it is the gift of God."  (19)

The framers believed those basic rights were God-given.  They were not man-invented or state-granted.  And because those rights were from God, they were "unalienable."  They could not be sold, traded, or taken away.  Moses said it this way:

"God is not a man, that He should lie,...
Has He said, and will He not do it?
Or has He spoken,
and will He not make it good?" (20)

And Jesus Himself promised, "Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away."  (21)

When God gives rights, they are forever.  The words of Scripture made that perfectly clear.  But the signers had also learned at their parents' knees that we live in a fallen world where sin and wickedness prevail.  Every new generation has its share of men and women who attempt to steal God-given rights from their neighbors.  Because of this threat, civil government was instituted by God to protect people's rights.  The Old Testament stories of those first kings of Israel gave our nation's forefathers the basis upon which to institute a more perfect government in this land.

The signers said it this way:  "That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed."

Scripture informs us that after rescuing his people from Pharaoh,  God wanted to lead the Israelites directly, through God-appointed prophets, priests, and elders to be His voice among the people.  But the people wanted a king "like other nations."  We learn through the prophet Samuel that human kings would misuse and abuse them. 

God warned, "And you will cry out in that day because of your king whom you have chosen...."(22)  But the people refused to listen, so God said to Samuel, "Heed their voice, and make them a king." (23)

God loved his people and established a godly pattern (the Ten Commandments for example) for the kings too follow; urging them not to turn aside from the commandments.

The apostle Paul reaffirmed this godly pattern for all civil government when he wrote, "For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God...For [a ruler] is God's minister to you for good...[and] God's minister, an avenger to execute wrath on him who practices evil." (25)

Let me stop here for a moment.  Do you see a similar pattern in the election of Barack Hussein Obama here in America?  Some of the people were clamoring for a "new kind of leader" who promised the moon, but gave us the horrible situation that we are in now due to the Obama administration's  lies, deceit, deception, corruption, and dismissal of God's Word!  During the frenzy of the 2008 election, signs of "hope and change" were everywhere.  And Obama gave speeches telling the people what they wanted to hear.  However, once he got into office the real roots of his rage [see the documentary 2016:  Obama's America] became so apparent that many former supporters of his are now totally against his re-election!

I think that God heard our fervent prayers during the 2010 mid-term election which helped stem the huge tide of destruction that was occurring against our nation!  The change in the House of Representatives stopped the avalanche of the liberal leftist agenda that was previously being heaped upon our nation and people. 

We now stand at the crossroads of whether we will continue spiraling down away from our God-given liberty and unalienable rights into a pit of doom and despair! 

It's your choice, America. 

Hopefully, enough of us will vote Obama out (while at the same time, do so overwhelmingly so as to overcome the voter fraud, deceit, and deception that we are seeing happening) and continue to PRAY TO GOD FOR OBAMA'S REMOVAL FROM OFFICE!!

The covenant between God, the king, and the people was simple.  The king would retain his office as long as he obeyed God and protected the unalienable rights of the people.  But if he failed and elevated his own good above the people's good, he would be removed from office.  The signers of the Declaration said it this way:  "That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the  People to alter or to abolish it." (26)

A Founding Father's Quote for Election 2012

The more that I see of the final four candidates for the Republican nomination for President of the United States, the more the stark contrast builds between these four men and the would-be dictator, Barack Hussein Obama.

I will admit, none of them are what we might call "the perfect candidate."  We know that no one is perfect this side of heaven.  Only Jesus Christ, in the Incarnation, was the perfect Man.  Christ is the way, the truth, and the life.  No one comes to the Father but by Him!

Our Founding Fathers knew this about Christ.  Most of them were true, Christian believers.  It is for that reason that they wrote the Declaration of Independence - the creed for America to live by.  However, it is also a fact that our Constitutional Republic can only survive if we are led by God-fearing leaders.  Not the fakes like we currently have in leadership from the Democrat party.

As far as the GOP nominees go, I like one candidate more than the others and even find one of the candidates scary concerning his foreign policy attitudes (especially regarding Iran).   But any one of them would be light-years better than Obama!!

John Adams teaches us from this historic quote. This election boils down to:

"...seeing and feeling the differences between true and false, right and wrong, virtue and vice."

What Obama has been presenting our nation is mostly falsehood.  He has wreaked havoc upon this nation with what is wrong in this world.  He has done what amounts to slapping We The People, our military, our economy, our freedoms, our liberty, and our sacred honor as a people with nothing but vice.

Vice - a word that isn't used much today. But it certainly fits when describing the current puppet pResident in the White House, as well as all of his cronies and puppeteers!

Mark Levin's Best Selling Book "Ameritopia"


I have just started reading Mark Levin's new book Ameritopia - The Unmaking of America.  I have only gotten through the introduction and first chapter, but just those first 26 pages are power packed with information that makes the book very hard to put down! I want to read it all TODAY!

I recommend this book to EVERYONE who rejects the intrusion of a radical government into our personal lives that is hell-bent on forcing policies that are anathema to our Declaration of Independence and U.S. Constitution!  Levin has masterfully shown, in a general sense, what the Obama Admin is trying to do to ruin America without even referring to him or his administration!  Unless you are blinded by ObamaBorgBotism, you will see the destruction going by Obama on every page of book!  Levin utilizes strong warnings against utopianism from our Founders and many others (including the critical works of John Locke, Charles Montesquieu, Alexis de Tocqueville) all the way up to and including Ronald Reagan.

As I read through just the first 26 pages, I kept seeing evidence of why, what, where, and how the Obama puppet is being led by billionaire puppeteers like evil George Soros to create an "Ameritopia" against the will of WE THE PEOPLE! Those of us who have been paying attention will see Levin's book as the exposure of all the corruption and destruction that is going on in Washington D.C. today! The book is a blueprint about everything that is WRONG with utopianism (which includes the terrible political errors of National Socialism, Communism, Islamism, social "justice," etc.); everything that the sane world and America have fought against throughout history! I think that EVERY American who cares about our nation returning to our Founders vision of a Constitutional Republic needs to read this book!  Buy several copies and give them out to your neighbors, friends, and ESPECIALLY your adult children!  Our children have been subjected to so much socialism in public school, college, and via the media of mass deception that many of them are not understanding of the dangers that utopianism leads to.  But ask anyone still alive from The Greatests Generation....THEY KNOW!  And they pledged their lives, their fortunes and sacred honor to defeat the enemies when they reared their ugly heads!

This morning, another comment trickled in at a post I did way back in July of 2010 regarding the harassment of the "American Community Survey" people.  It is only one small (but very annoying) example of what the Leftist Statists currently demand of WE THE PEOPLE (against our will, our Declaration, and our Constitutional rights, of course)  There are hundreds, if not thousands of examples of what ObaMARXIST wants to do (and, unfortunately IS DOING)  to "change" our Constitutional Republic! And it is NOT GOOD!

Levin admits that this shift to socialism/utopianism didn't start with Obama, but it has been greatly accelerated through his abominable and evil machine of an administration. We cannot survive four more years of this accelerated form of government tyranny!

God's Hand In Our Nation's Founding

Yesterday morning, I opened my email and saw a new comment posted at an old blog post over at Citizens Wells blog. I thought that it was something that readers here at Talk Wisdom might like to read, so I have posted it below in its entirety.


I have also included some factual information about how our nation's founding was blessed by God through the Jewish people, and how the rebirth of Israel was both precisely prophesied by the prophet Ezekiel; and what a pivotal role President Harry S. Truman played in the declaration and support of the re-born Nation of Israel! This post is by no means an exhaustive account of all that occurred, but the portions of information included here may help educate those of us (including me!) who may not have learned these particular details in our liberal/progressive leaning government school history lessons.

Did you know that President’s Day was originally Washington’s Birthday? Does anyone remember him? You Know the Father of our country. The man who defied a Tyrant at the risk of his own life, and that of his family. The man who, if caught, would have been hung as a traitor because he knew that there was a higher authority than that of evil tyrannical rulers; an authority that everyone will eventually be accountable to! An Authority that he often gave all the credit praise and glory to even while suffering the hardships of the winter at Valley Forge with his half naked, starving ragtag army whose tracks could be traced by the blood left in the snow by many of his soldiers bare feet. Almost always without provisions, a good quarter of the army died of cold, starvation, and disease. Several thousand more deserted. Yet those who stayed and survived the suffering of that brutal winter formed a brotherhood that could never be broken, for it was God Almighty that General George Washington credited for the American Army overcoming overwhelming odds and devastating hardships and defeating the strongest military power of his time! The very same authority that the communist of the world hate and despise because they are the egotistical, arrogant, self serving, self proclaimed masters of the universe, who expect you and me to bow down to! For History repeats itself and when communist and other tyrannical invaders destroyed a society from within, they first destroyed their history and their national pride.  Don’t let this happen!  Remember our Fore Fathers and the risk they took for our Declaration of Independence! They knew exactly how to deal with Tyrants and we are their descendants, never let our children forget! I took an oath to protect my country against all enemies! Foreign and domestic!

A nation that does not remember where it came from, or what its foundations were, is easily destroyed, by its enemies, either from within, or without.

What kind of man was George Washington that ordinary men would follow him, though the misery and hardships of Valley Forge, on to the battle fields against the strongest military power of their time, fighting for a cause that if lost, their very reason for fighting, the Declaration of Independence, would have been their death warrants.

Over 60 years ago all American children learned in school, the story of our founding father George Washington, as a 23 year old Colonel of Virginia Militia under the British General Braddock along the banks of the Monongahela river, near Fort Duquesne, which is now Pittsburgh , Pa. and how he miraculously survived the first major battle of the French and Indian War at the hand of God, 20 years before the signing of the declaration of independence.

The Battle of the Monongahela, also known as Braddock’s Defeat was fought on July 9th 1755.

Washington had done everything he could to inform Gen. Braddock of the tactics of the French & Indians, of getting down behind cover and firing only when a target was visible, but Braddock was insulted to be advised by an inferior officer. On the morning of July 9th, 1755, Braddock and 1000 of his men, along with Washington and some of his Virginia regulars, crossed the southern shore of the Monongahela.
Colonel Thomas Gage had a forward detachment of 350 soldiers, and 250 workers, and axe men, cutting a path. They were about 10 miles from Ft. Duquesne. It was around 1:00 pm. Gage and the forward detachment had just crossed a ravine, when scouts, and flanking parties came running back towards them, waving them off. Just then, they were hit with a fusillade of musket balls. It immediately became chaos. The British could not see their enemy, for they were hidden behind rocks, hills, and trees. The rain of bullets kept coming in on them, dropping them like flies. Gage’s men fired back at the direction of the smoke plumes from their enemies’ rifles, but hit nothing but rocks, hills, and trees, merely splintering bark. Gage’s men continued to drop, and the horses, some of them wounded, began to panic, and bolt, carrying wagons full of their weapons and ammo, trampling men on the ground as they galloped off. The workers and axe men fled. For the Indians, who were crack marksmen, this was like shooting sitting ducks! Eventually what was left of Gage’s forward detachment began to retreat. Gen. Braddock, hearing the gunfire, left 400 troops along with most of the Virginia regulars, with Sir Peter Halkett, and most of the baggage. Braddock and his remaining troops, Washington, and a 100 or so, Virginia militia hastened towards the battle. The retreating men collided with the advancing men, setting them to more confusion. All the while, the French and Indians continued to rain down musket balls upon them with deadly accuracy, and force. It became an instant slaughter, as Braddock instructed his men to form columns (making them easy to hit, because of their red coats, and being in plain sight) like they were accustomed to doing in Europe. Musket balls rained down on them at will, cutting them down and anything else that gets in its way, with an instantaneous efficiency! The 100 or so Virginia men, quickly adopted the Indian style of warfare, and dropped behind trees, and shot when only an enemy target was visible. Gen. Braddock was furious at this, and barked orders for them to get out from behind the trees. He saw this as cowardice, according to his rules of engagement. Braddock was undaunted in his task, bravely going to and fro amidst the shower of musket balls, trying to rally his troops. He had five horses shot out from under him. But for all his bravery, and reckless courage, he could not stem the tide.

God’s hand can be seen protecting Washington this whole time. Because he was busy going back and forth across the battle field, completely exposed. Carrying out General Braddock’s orders. One soldier observing Washington stated: “I expected every moment to see him fall. Nothing but the superintending care of Providence could have saved him.” Indians testified later, that they had singled him out, but their bullets had no effect on him. The chief suddenly realized that a mighty power must be shielding this man. “Stop firing!” he commanded. “This one is under the special protection of the Great Spirit.” A brave standing nearby stated, “I had seventeen clear shots at him…and after all could not bring him to the ground. This man was not born to be killed by a bullet.” They were convinced that an Invisible Power was protecting him. Washington had two horses shot out from under him, he had four bullet holes in his coat. Yet he had been untouched by bullet, or arrow. Scores of victims had fallen beside him, yet he went unharmed, protected by God’s hand! Every other mounted officer had been slain! Eventually, Braddock was mortally wounded in the side, and fell. When this occurred, all the British troops fled in confusion. Washington gathered up what was left of the Virginia men, barely 30, the injured General, and covered the retreating British, leaving all the baggage, weapons, provisions, cattle, horses, behind for the enemy to plunder. General Braddock died three days later. In the aftermath, 714 British soldiers had been killed, 37 wounded. 26 officers out of 86 were killed, and 37 wounded. Only 30 men and 3 officers were killed, of the French and Indians!




15 years later, after this battle, an old respected Indian Chief, sought out council with Washington , when he heard that he was in the area. Through an interpreter he explained that he had set out on a long journey to meet Washington personally, and to speak to him about the battle 15 years earlier. He said: “I am a chief and ruler over my tribes. My influence extends to the waters of the great lakes and to the far Blue Mountains . I have traveled a long and weary path that I might see the young warrior of the great battle. It was on the day when the white man’s blood mixed with the streams of our forest that I first beheld this chief. I called to my young men and said, mark yon tall and daring warrior? He is not of the red-coat tribe—he hath an Indian’s wisdom, and his warriors fight as we do—him is alone exposed. Quick, let your aim be certain, and he dies. Our rifles were leveled, rifles which, but for you, knew not how to miss—’twas all in vain, a power mightier far than we, shielded you. Seeing you were under the special guard ship of the Great Spirit, we immediately ceased to fire at you. I am old and soon shall be gathered to the great council fire of my fathers in the land of shades, but ere I go, there is something bids me speak in the voice of prophecy. Listen! The Great Spirit protects that man [pointing at Washington ], and guides his destinies—he will become the chief of nations, and a people yet unborn will hail him as the founder of a mighty empire. I am come to pay homage to the man who is the particular favorite of Heaven, and who can never die in battle.”



This story was once well known by all Americans, taught to our children in our schools.



But thanks to the traitors, and infiltrators who hate God and America this story and many like it can no longer be taught in school to our children!

In America On June 4, 1963, a virtually unknown Presidential decree, Executive Order 11110, was signed with the authority to basically strip the Federal Reserve Bank of its power to loan money to the United States Federal Government at interest. An additional interesting fact is that God's preservation of America also happened because of Israel! The following excerpt from Dr. David Jeremiah's book, I Never Thought I'd See the Day: Culture at the Crossroads is a piece of history that I was not aware of until I read Chapter 9 - When America Would Turn Her Back on Israel:

From America's founding, the Jews have been a welcome part of the nation.  Ever since the first twenty-three Jewish Immigrants landed in New Amsterdam (later New York City) in 1654, America has, for the most part, been a place of safety and prosperity for the Jewish people. It is estimated that 250 Jews were living in the American colonies in the early 1700s.

It's a little-known fact that a Jewish businessman played a significant role in keeping alive General George Washington's struggling Revolutionary army. Haym Solomon was a Polish Jew who immigrated to America in 1775 and became financially successful as a broker of overseas trade deals. The British arrested him more than once for his American sympathies, but he continued to use his financial skills to raise money for the Revolution. On one occasion, Washington needed to march his army to engage the British in what proved to be the final and decisive battle of the Revolution at Yorktown. But neither Washington nor the colonial government had money to finance the campaign. Washington sent for Haym Solomon, who raised the needed funds and enabled the campaign that ended the Revolutionary War. Solomon lent the colonies today's equivalent of billions of dollars, a large part of which was supposedly never repaid.

An interesting, but unverifiable legend concerns Washington's gratitude for Solomon's critical support to the colonies. Look at the Great Seal on the back of a one-dollar bill. Above the eagle's head you will see the thirteen stars, representing the thirteen colonies, arranged in such a way that, by connecting the peripheral straight lines, a six-pointed Star of David is created. Washington supposedly had this done out of gratitude to his, and America's, Jewish friend Haym Solomon.

Whether or not the Great Seal legend is true, the facts are that Jews were welcome in America from the beginning and have always played a role in America's prosperity greatly disproportionate to their numbers. Space prevents me from retelling the entire story of the mutual affection expressed between a Jewish congregation in Newport, Rhode Island, and the newly elected president George Washington. But after a visit to Newport, the president wrote to the congregation, "May the Children of the Stock of Abraham, who dwell in this land, continue to merit and enjoy the good will of the other Inhabitants; while every one shall sit under his own vine and fig tree, and there shall be none to make him afraid."

In truth, America's official posture toward Jews on American soil has always been positive. And the same can be said of America's initial posture toward the newly re-formed nation of Israel in her homeland in 1948 and the decades immediately following. Providence ordained that the occupant of the Oval Office at the moment of Israel's political rebirth on May 14, 1948, would be Harry S. Truman. In my 2008 book, What in the World Is Going On?: 10 Prophetic clues You Cannot Afford to Ignore, I tell the gripping story of the opposition President Truman faced from his top advisers over whether to recognize and affirm Israel's statehood. It was a watershed moment for U.S.- Israel relations. His decision would not only set the tone for the rest of his two terms, it would also set in motion a policy that would greatly influence his successors in the Oval Office.

Truman stood fast against his advisers and issued a press release stating  "the United States recognizes the provisional government as de facto authority of the new State of Israel."   Israel's chief rabbi, Isaac Halevi Herzog, later told Trumen, "God put you in your mother's womb so that you would be the instrument to bring about the rebirth of Israel after two thousand years."

Many people today do not even realize how precise the fulfillment of Bible Prophecy was regarding the rebirth of the Nation of Israel.

I recommend reading Grant Jeffrey's The Signature of God book. Chapter 8 reveals, in great detail, how incredibly accurate the actual time of the prophesy of the miraculous rebirth of Israel was! On May 15, 1948, as foretold by the prophet Ezekiel over twenty-five centuries before it occurred, the Nation of Israel was reborn!

On the afternoon of May 14, 1948, the Jews proclaimed the independence of the reborn state of Israel. As an old rabbi blew on the traditional shofar, a ram's horn, the Jewish people celebrated the end of their tragic worldwide dispersion and captivity in precise fulfillment of the prophecy made thousands of years earlier by the prophet ezekiel. At midnight, as May 15, 1948, began, the British Mandate officially ended and Israel became an independent nation. this great day marked the first time since the days of Solomn that a united Israel took its place as a sovereign, independent state among the nations of the world.

While reading Citizen Wells blog, I found an excellent, truthful, America-saving essay and petition for We The People Americans who are FED UP with the ObaMARXIST's America-destroying agenda and want to DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT! “Dear Mr. Obama,

It is a fact, indisputable to honest minds, that there is virtually no aspect of your origins, personal or ideological, that are not somehow wrapped in fraud. The multiplicity of your actions which seem to defy all reason and all comprehension, however, are easily deciphered and understood in light of your real ideological father—Saul Alinsky, author of “Rules for Radicals.” Alinsky is your true origin in ideology and political methodology. Alinsky is your father and it is this father, Saul Alinsky, whose dreams you seek to fulfill every day of your life.

And how better can we understand and interpret Alinsky, than by noting that Alinsky literally dedicated his own book to Lucifer, also known as Satan.

Let us hear Alinsky’s own words of dedication and I quote: “(to) the first radical known to man who rebelled against the establishment and did it so effectively that he at least won his own kingdom—Lucifer.” Mr. Obama, if Lucifer was Alinsky’s ideological father, then you are Lucifer’s ideological grandson.

Leave it to Lucifer to seek to fundamentally transform Heaven, a place of absolute perfection; leave it to Alinsky to refer to Heaven as “The Establishment.” It is Alinsky who preached to generations of admiring radical protégés and I quote: “There can be no such thing as a successful traitor, for if one succeeds he becomes a founding father.” This quotation of Alinsky’s is not something taken out of context; it is the focal-point of his work and the end point to which his reasoning process leads.

Mr. Obama, you spent years teaching workshops on ‘the Alinsky method’; you raised money to fund the Alinsky Academy, while working with the unrepentant Weather Underground terrorist, Bill Ayres.

Alinsky’s own biological son has publicly reveled in your success, saying and I quote: “Obama learned his lesson well. I am proud to see that my father’s model for organizing is being applied successfully beyond local community organizing to affect the Democratic campaign in 2008. It is a fine tribute to Saul Alinsky as we approach his 100th birthday.”

Mr. Obama, from this time forward, we will view you through the Alinsky Looking Glass and interpret your actions with a spirit of utter distrust—irreparable distrust which you have more than earned, by your actions while holding the office of President.

Alinsky is all about being The Trojan Horse and are you not, Mr. Obama, the greatest Trojan Horse in all of American history? Alinsky himself believed that ‘true revolutionaries do not flaunt their radicalism. They cut their hair, put on suits and infiltrate the system from within.’ Alinsky also espoused another related maxim: “Wherever possible, go outside of the experience of the enemy.”

As you well know, this means: adopt a strategy that is something the enemy has never seen before and, therefore, cannot properly interpret, until it’s too late for the enemy to be able to mount an effective resistance and save himself. A perfect example of this principle in action is the new mission you have given the head of NASA.

You want NASA to make outreach to Muslim countries NASA’s #1 priority. This idea is so far out in left field that it defies comprehension—but, then again, you knew your NASA mission would have this effect on us, didn’t you?

We can’t see your dark purposes, because your actions go so far outside the experience of The American People. If we view this travesty through the Alinsky Looking Glass, however, here is what we see: Mr. Obama talking, in glowingly eloquent terms, about space programs no longer being “competitive” but
“collaborative.”

But this is just another, Alynsky-inspired sleight of hand and a classic bit of theatrical misdirection, isn’t it? When we look below the surface, however, what do we see?

We see the strongest protests against your policy from none other than the former head of NASA. You and the current head of NASA are talking about the importance of ‘helping countries establish space programs’ and you pointed to Indonesia, where you spent your formative years, as a possible partner.

How can this partnering with Muslim countries be done, without sharing NASA technology with these nations?

Mr. Obama, by these actions, you know all-too-well that you are putting technology into the hands of the very people who would use it in the creation of ballistic missiles that could reach any city in the United States.

Can any reasonable person deny that there would be a direct pipeline for this technology from any moderate Muslim nation “partnering with NASA” to a terrorist entity or a nation like Iran?

You can calmly deny your treasonous motives all you want—that’s the deceit & guile of your Alinsky methodology: denial after denial uttered in your calm, well-modulated voice. The only people in the room who are ever in the wrong are, of course, those who are expressing their anger openly—especially if it is anger directed toward you.

Once this NASA technology is in the hands of terrorists, the situation is irreversible—and that is exactly what you want!

Because you pursue a course of action that risks NASA technology finding its way into the hands of terrorists, you are therefore a confirmed traitor of the highest order and we demand that our Senators and Congressmen immediately put a stop to this unfolding travesty and call for your immediate impeachment.

Mr. Obama, you are most prolific. We see Alinsky’s signature methodology permeating Elena Kagan’s unyielding refusal to admit to contradictions in her words and actions.

Kagan embodies the artful dodger of Alinsky methodology. We rightly admire Senator Sessions’ dignified & forthright approach in the confirmation hearings. However, he is perhaps too much of a Southern gentleman to get as mean & aggressive as he needs to get, in order to defend America effectively against the likes of Elena Kagan.

Everything within us abhors the Republican leaderships’ simpering acquiescence to the momentum of this fraudulent confirmation process; theirs is an unforgivable lack of courage witnessed by their unwillingness to take bold action and to resist at all costs the ascension to our Supreme Court by a fraud such as Kagan—nor do they even show the fortitude required to mount a filibuster against this enemy of our Freedoms.

It is Kagan who argued to the Supreme Court that political speech can and should be regulated by the federal government, up to and including censorship of books.

It is Kagan who, as Dean of Harvard Law School, established Shariah law’s most powerful and prestigious beachhead in American academia to date: the Harvard “Islamic Finance Project’—directly financed by Saudi prince Alaweed Bin Talal, a member of The Muslim Brotherhood—the oldest Islamic terrorist organization in the world. The purpose of this project is to train American lawyers to practice Shariah-Compliant Law in The United States of America.

Have We-the-People heard even one question directed at this woman regarding her dedicated & concerted efforts to lend institutional respectability to repressive & unconstitutional Shariah law? We have not.

Remember: It is Kagan whose impassioned argument, before the Supreme Court, urged that American corporations should be permitted, under the guise of the 1st Amendment, to provide material aid to terrorist organizations and do so with utter impunity.

Finally, if confirmed, it will be Kagan who casts her vote on cases brought to the Supreme Court that will determine if Conservative Talk Radio survives The Fairness Doctrine or not; it will be Kagan who will hear cases as to whether Shariah law should be allowed in the United States as a “legal-system-within-a-legal-system”; it will be Kagan who will draw deeply from the well of radical Alinsky politics, her penchant for intellectual dishonesty and her ignorance of—and disdain for—“The Doctrine of Original Intent”—that the Constitution means precisely what the Founders intended it to mean. Given all the foregoing, is it not time to set a precedent in the Elena Kagan vetting process?

No Supreme Court nominee has ever before sunk so low as to be brought up on charges of perjury, during a Confirmation process. Furthermore, every single one of Elena Kagan’s statements are made under oath. Where an oath is administered, perjury charges may be brought.

In light of Kagan’s apparent utter disregard for the Truth and the abundant documentary evidence that proves this, what could be more appropriate than that a courageous Senator bring charges of perjury against her?

Therefore, we citizens of America demand that our leaders bring Elena Kagan up on charges of perjury, without further delay! Has Senator Sessions not said, repeatedly, that Kagan’s testimony under oath absolutely contradicts the facts that are key to examining her for confirmation? Has Kagan not lied—and does she not continue to lie—under oath, by denying material facts that would disqualify her from serving on the Supreme Court, if she had answered truthfully & directly the point of each question?

No amount of “qualifiers” added to an answer make that answer truthful, when the net-net is that Kagan’s answer is “yes” when the facts say “no” and “no” when the facts say “yes.” A half truth is a whole lie. Kagan speaks anything but “The Truth, the whole Truth and nothing but the Truth”—which is just as Saul Alinsky would have it.

Mr. Obama, we don’t know why you hate America but, then again, we don’t know why Lucifer hated Heaven either. We stand irreconcilably opposed to you and your plans to destroy America.

The actions you are now taking will inevitably bring this about, if you are not stopped. We will act boldly, as law-abiding citizens, to do whatever it takes to save this Free Republic, to stop and decisively defeat you & your accomplices and, thereby, restore our country’s security and Freedom.”

Life and Liberty Hangs in the Balance

Spotted this video presentation of a painting done by Jon McNaughton over at Nice Deb and it literally moved me to tears!



I weep for what we have lost here in America - the deep knowledge of the Bible and the heritage of our Christian faith.

I weep for what we are losing at such an accelerated pace - our freedoms and liberty - due to the tyrannical government we have.

I weep for those who have shoved God and His Son, Jesus Christ, out of their lives.

I weep for those who have never taken Jesus' offer of salvation seriously, and therefore ignore it and do not accept it.

I weep for our children who are now living in an America that I never thought I would ever see in my lifetime. I could go on and on. But most regular readers here could easily add to this list.

However, I also have tears of joy because I know who I am in Jesus Christ. I know that millions of saved Christians also know who they are in Christ and are evangelizing across the globe - including through the vehicle of the Internet.

Jesus told us that a sign of the coming Rapture would be both a falling away from the faith (heresy, apostasy, false religions, atheism etc. -all of which are happening today) as well as the Gospel being spread throughout the world. There has been no time in history - other than the computer age - where the Gospel could literally be spread throughout the entire world in seconds! How many people have read the Gospel message of Jesus Christ in just one day, accepted it and have also accepted the fact that the Word of God, the Bible, is ultimate Truth? We may never know the answer to that question on this side of heaven.

What a beautiful painting! Jesus is the center of the scene, and rightfully so.
