Over the weekend, Facebook took down a message by the Special Operations Speaks PAC (SOS) which highlighted the fact that Obama denied backup to the forces being overrun in Benghazi.


The message was contained in a meme which demonstrated how Obama had relied on the SEALS when he was ready to let them get Osama bin Laden, and how he had turned around and denied them when they called for backup on Sept 11.

I spoke with Larry Ward, president of Political Media, Inc — the media company that handles SOS postings and media production. Ward was the one who personally put the Navy SEAL meme up, and the one who received the warning from Facebook and an eventual 24 hour suspension from Facebook because Ward put the meme back up after Facebook told him to take it down.

Here’s what Ward told me:

We created and posted this meme on Saturday after news broke that Obama had known and denied SEALS the backup they requested.

Once the meme was up it garnered 30,000 shares, approx. 24,000 likes, and was read by hundreds of thousands of people — all within 24 hrs. On Sunday, I went into the SOS Facebook page to post something else and found a warning from Facebook that we had violated Facebook’s Statement of Rights and Responsibilities with our meme. So I copied the warning, put it on the meme as as caption, and re-posted the meme to the Facebook page.

Along with the re-posted meme, Ward put a link to the Facebook “feedback comment” inbox so visitors to the SOS page could send a message to Facebook if they were as outraged over the meme being jerked down as he was.

Ward said Facebook pulled the re-posted meme down within 7 or 8 hours and suspended the SOS account for 24 hours.

In other words, Facebook put the Navy SEALS in timeout in order to shield Obama.

Twitter Suspends Conservative Writer's Account

Well, that certainly didn't take long. I was wondering when those of the liberal leftist ideological universe  would attempt to censor conservatives on Twitter.  Apparently, the goonies bombarded Mr. Loesch's (husband of Tea Party leader and conservative writer, Dana Loesch) account with false accusations of spamming which caused Twitter to outwardly cancel the account. 

Isn't it obvious how liberals always want to halt the free speech rights of those who share opposing political views?  Looks like the typical, liberal-mental-disordered way continues to include the silencing of the opposition rather than engaging in a mature, informative, and civil debate on issues. What's more, they usually tend to do it with SUCH NASTINESS!  So childish....

Twitter Suspends Conservative Account, Liberal Foul Play Suspected.

A not-so funny thing happened on the social media website Twitter Sunday.

As the Washington Times reports, the account of Chris Loesch, the husband of Tea Party leader and conservative writer Dana Loesch, was suspended by Twitter management due to what observers believe was foul play by liberal users of the website that don't like the couple's politics:

Conservative Chris Loesch, music producer and husband of radio host and CNN contributor Dana Loesch, had his Twitter account suspended on Sunday. He was apparently targeted by leftist users who utilized the "Block & Report Spam" function to trigger the social media account's automatic spam algorithm. He was notified of his suspension via an email from Twitter claiming it was due to multiple unsolicited mentions to other users. "You will need to change your behavior to continue using Twitter," the email admonished.

"I never threatened anyone and am careful about being concise with what I write especially in public," Mr. Loesch told The Washington Times. "They were going to make me sign this note that said one more infraction and I would be permanently banned. I wasn't going to do that so I wrote emails to some of their people."

Mrs. Loesch, who also is the editor of Big Journalism, believes a coordinated attack against him came when he started defending her from all kinds of vile messages and threats by liberal antagonists.

As she wrote Sunday:

There have been stories going around of conservatives getting suspended from Twitter over innocuous things while accounts like @KillZimmerman (an account which threatened to kill George Zimmerman) and other such accounts were left active for weeks. After a user remarked about me being raped and murdered, Chris and others defended me.

Anyone familiar with Twitter knows that Mrs. Loesch is regularly bombarded with disgustingly hateful, sexist, and misogynistic messages from her opponents. As she re tweets many of them, I have witnessed more than I'd wish to recall.

"It was business as usual for her I suppose," Mr. Loesch told the Times. "Veiled threats, rape and murder comments, the typical liberal misogynist slag. Being the chivalrous and testosterone filled being I am requires me to protect the woman I love and call out the haters for being the 'anonymous Internet tough guys' they are...Needless to say they don't like being called out and struck back by reporting me as a spammer or worse."

As you will see when you read the entire article at Newsbusters, liberals abusing the "report spam" option on Mr. Loesch's account are probably the culprits in this incident.  The author of the article has some hopes, though, that Twitter will work out this issue in order to avoid such "report spam" liars in the future:

At the moment, Mr. Loesch's account is still on ice, but he's been informed that Twitter is not only investigating the matter, but is also working on safeguards to prevent it in the future
.
As I tweeted myself last evening, this makes a great deal of sense. Twitter is now used by America's political leaders and top journalists. They're certainly not going to participate in a social media website where their account can be so easily removed by opponents.

Although I'm not a software engineer, I imagine there's a solution that doesn't result in more spam on the website.

For instance, a spam complaint could require a link to the offending message itself proving that spam had actually been sent.

Again, this is not my expertise, but as I tweeted Sunday evening, I believe this episode will actually be a good thing in the long run as a safer, more user friendly Twitter will emerge for all to enjoy in the years to come.

November 30th, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) could potentially engage in one of the largest federal power grabs we have ever seen.

After two years of this Presidential Administration and this Congress, that is saying an awful lot about an awful lot.

And what’s worse, the FCC would be doing it without Congress weighing in. At the FCC’s November meeting – note the coincidental date of choice, AFTER the impending election – three unelected bureaucrats (of five) could simply vote themselves rulers of 1/6th of our entire economy – the information and technology sector.

Meaning the Internet that you currently enjoy – that has been a marvel of economic and information innovation and success – will be subject to vast new governmental regulations. You didn’t elect these people – but they are on the verge of electing themselves Internet overlords.

The Internet is the future – and increasingly the present – of news and information delivery. With each passing day, we move a little further away from the old media models – print, broadcast and cable television, radio – and towards an all-Web world. Eventually, most or all of the news and information we get – written, and spoken into microphones and cameras – will be on and for the Internet.

And we are on the verge of having this new world – the all-encompassing future of First Amendment free speech in America – swallowed up by three unelected D.C. bureaucrats and their Commission.


This is one of the most important battles ever waged in Washington – and precious little is known about it outside the Beltway.

What we are talking about is Internet reclassification. What that means is the FCC – which by its own admission doesn’t have authority over the Web – would just vote itself said authority. By reclassifying the Internet – so that it would be subject to the same rules as landline telephones.

The FCC has long had tremendous power over landline telephones, which is why there has been so much incredible innovation with them these last 70+ years. (Note: tremendous sarcasm here.)

The FCC has no power over the Internet because the FCC doesn’t have power over anything until Congress writes a law saying they do. And Congress has never done this for the FCC with the Internet.

It’s not just me saying this. 299 members of Congress have said so – a large bipartisan majority. More than 150 organizations, state legislators and bloggers have said so. So have seventeen minority groups – that are usually almost always in Democrat lockstep.

So have many additional normally Democrat paragons, including several large unions: AFL-CIO, Communications Workers of America (CWA),International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW); several racial grievance groups: League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC), Minority Media and Telecom Council (MMTC), National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), Urban League; and an anti-free market environmentalist group: the Sierra Club.

So too has the unanimous D.C. Circuit Court – led by a Democrat Bill Clinton-appointee – ruling in April in the Comcast-BitTorrent case that the FCC doesn’t have the authority to regulate the Internet.

Most importantly, FCC Chairman Julius Genachowski has himself said so. In an interview last week with the Washington Post, the Chairman readily acknowledged “(W)e have a Communications Act that wasn’t written for broadband.”

Chairman Genachowski is referring to the 1996 Telecommunications Act, the last time Congress addressed communications policy and the authorities the FCC has there over. Broadband Internet for all intents and purposes didn’t yet even exist.

The remedy to all of this is crystal clear. Congress should do what it’s supposed to do – write a law that defines and details the FCC’s role (or lack thereof) in regulating the Internet.

And the FCC should do what it’s supposed to do – unless and until Congress acts, NOTHING.

What the FCC must NOT do is unilaterally vote itself vast new powers under the cover of bureaucratic, post-election darkness.

Beware The "Fronts" of Radical Islam

Preface: When I joined "Digg" back on June 28, 2007, I naively thought that it might help bring traffic over to this blog. After several weeks of commenting on articles of interest (mostly the conservative, Christian view on issues) I slowly starting getting "fans" of my comments. Then, I found out how to turn "fans" into friends. Then, I learned how to send "shouts" to my friends list. Then, I learned how to submit articles.

At first, I had a little community of conservative and/or Christian friends. But once I started posting comments about the truth of Obama, the ObamaBorgDigg-bots came along and dugg down such comments. I found that many of my fellow conservative/Christian bloggers were getting "dugg down" as well.

It seemed to me, such people were not interested in any kind of rational discussion of the issues. They just hated all conservatives, Christians, John McCain and Sarah Palin supporters.

I was considering leaving the Digg arena. I found nothing but hatred from the liberal left there. I also discovered that the Digg webmasters often censored the conservative Digg posts that were rising in popularity. They even admitted their bias and would often prevent such posts from getting on the front page because of ideological differences. Once again, freedom of speech is censored.

Now, I have a new attitude about it. When I see my comments "dugg down," I view the minus diggs as a joyful celebration. Why? Because what was said obviously irritated the liberal Diggbots!

While deciding just what I wanted to write at my blog - Talk Wisdom - prior to posting an excerpt from this WorldNetDaily article, something just "jumped" right into my mind. It was a scene in the movie, "Hook" where Captain Hook (played brilliantly by Dustin Hoffman, btw) asks the seemingly innocent and innocuous questions, "Comfy?" "Cozy?"

That scene had all the makings of someone who is sneaky and tries to appear good, kind, friendly, accommodating, all inclusive, concerned for the welfare (of his victims) and trying to "make nice" in front of them. All the while, we, as the audience, aren't fooled. We are privy to, and instinctively know, Hook's ultimately evil intentions and desires.

Once again, it's "Blogment" time! Being that my time in limited for blogging today, I wanted to share a comment that I had originally posted in reply to commenter "Rebecca" in yesterday's post. She had mentioned that another radically pro-abortion person was most likely to gain a congressional seat in CO.

Earlier this morning, I received two emails on the topic of abortion. Here is the blogment:

I see Obama as the worst kind of liar. He tries to appear "neutral" by inviting someone like Rick Warren to the Inauguration (the gay activists are having a FIT about that) [Update: Oh boy...Obama's REALLY in the dog house over this!!], and claims that though he's pro-"choice" (code word for pro-death-to-babies-in-the-womb!), he wants to CLAIM to work to make abortions "legal, safe, and rare."

Ironically, I got an email from a dear friend this morning who shared this:

But to me it is kind of a charade in that people say 'We believe abortions should be safe and rare." He continued, "Don't tell me it should be rare. That's like saying on the Holocaust, 'Well, maybe we could save 20 percent of the Jewish people in Poland and Germany and get them out and we should be satisfied with that,'" Warren said. "I'm not satisfied with that. I want the Holocaust ended."

Environmental extremism, the CO2 tax, undermining coal and nuclear, and bans on exploration.

Weakening the 2nd Amendment through unconstitutional gun laws that take away or penalize us for owning firearms and our right to defend our family, our property, and ourselves.
