Motives Behind Gay Activist Hate Against Christians

The intolerance of homosexual ACTIVISTS (NOTE: I'm NOT claiming that ALL homosexuals act this way); particularly against Christians and Mormons who voted for Proposition 8 in California has escalated to a whole new level.

The firestorm of hate, disparagement, cursing, ridicule, debasement, mocking, filthy language etc. that was hurled at Miss California, Carrie Prejean WAS UNCONSCIONABLE for a civil society. Yet, many of the loonie leftists (including the Lamestream Media of Mass Deception proponents like Olberdummy) jumped right on the bandwagon to hurl insults at a young, 21-year-old woman who simply answered a question WHEN ASKED HER HONEST OPINION during a beauty pageant.

Will you be next?

When you express your opinion on this particular hot-button issue, will YOU BE MERCILESSLY ATTACKED BY THESE RADICALS?

In the email (below) the following paragraph tells us what is REALLY at stake. It has far more nefarious repercussions than the battle over "same-sex" marriage. Note the statement I have highlighted in bold.

You’ll be shocked at the depth they’ve sunk to in their efforts. It has turned very, very ugly out there—especially after Arizona, California, and Florida voters enacted state constitutional marriage amendments, protecting biblical marriage, last November. The democratic process itself is under assault.

Just ask one woman who appeared at a rally as a "Yes On Prop. 8" supporter what was done to her! Better yet, if you have not seen it when it was recorded back in November 2008 - see for yourself through this well done ADF video:

Alliance Defense Fund email:

Pretense of Tolerance is Over

Christians are no longer free to disagree

The ACLU and its allies, are committed to push the mute button on those who disagree with them. Just how committed are they?

You’ll be shocked at the depth they’ve sunk to in their efforts. It has turned very, very ugly out there—especially after Arizona, California, and Florida voters enacted state constitutional marriage amendments, protecting biblical marriage, last November. The democratic process itself is under assault.

This is evidenced by the ACLU and its allies’ selective opposition to the democratic principle of free elections. It would prefer that courts force same-sex “marriage” on the nation. If you can’t beat them at the ballot box, go to court and sue them. Seriously! Just look at what the former head of the ACLU said after the people of Alaska overwhelmingly enacted a marriage amendment: “Today’s results prove that certain fundamental issues should not be left up to a majority vote.” So, no sooner did voters in California enact Proposition 8, the ACLU ran again to the court and demanded that it overturn the results of the state’s marriage amendment.

Many of you, those who believe in marriage as God intended – the union between one man and one woman, only – joined together in the fight to protect this important issue. Some gave money. For some Californians who gave $100 or more, they got the shock of their life.

Californians Against Hate took personal information from the secretary of state’s website about donors to California’s Proposition 8 campaign and posted it on a Google Internet map. As the Google map and personal information became known, retaliation followed against individuals that had donated money to restore marriage as the union between one man and one woman in the Golden State.

Personal property was vandalized.
Profanity was spray-painted on churches.
Businesses were hounded into firing employees who had donated to Prop. 8.
Death threats were sent to Prop. 8 supporters.
White powder was mailed to make recipients fear that they had come into contact with the deadly substance anthrax.
Do these outrageous actions resemble anything even remotely close to “tolerance”?

No, these shameless acts are the last resort of people who have taken off the gloves of “tolerance” for the express purpose of coercing opponents into surrender. The ACLU and its allies cannot tolerate a truly fair democratic process, so instead they seek advantage by intimidating and punishing citizens that disagree with their agenda.

Christians are treated harshly for living out their faith. One organization alone—the Alliance Defense Fund (ADF)—is positioned to provide effective, winning legal protection for the Body of Christ.

ADF and our allied attorneys are intervening in these and other cases to seek relief for the victims of intolerance, to protect their freedom to disagree. We’re applying our unique tried-and-true system of training attorneys, forming strategy, funding cases, and litigating. Using this pattern, we’ve won more than 3 out of every 4 cases litigated to completion. By the grace of God, ADF aims to continue our legacy as a one-of-a-kind legal organization that WINS.

The Body of Christ deserves nothing less in these alarming times. Stand with ADF through your prayers and financial gifts today.

Conservative Christians have been sounding the alarm bells for years against the radical homosexual agenda going on across our nation. The ACLU and the courts in other states didn't waste any time FORCING RULINGS AND/OR LEGISLATION in their states to get "same-sex marriage" legalized. They learned (via CA Prop. 8 results) that if they leave it up to the public vote (which is the way it SHOULD be done in each state), the gay marriage initiatives LOSE EVERY TIME. Even in a state as LIBERAL as California - voters came out in droves to proclaim what the definition and institution of marriage has been for thousands of years - the union of one man and one woman.

If Prop. 8 HAD NOT PASSED - then "same-sex marriage" would have been legalized and written into the state constitution! Could you imagine what would have happened to Carrie Prejean if that was the case? She may have been handcuffed and carted off to jail for a "speech hate crime" against "homosexuals" because she didn't express the "politically correct" answer to the question she was given!

Do you think that scenario is unlikely? In Massachusetts - the gay activists have the attitude, "it's legal now - you can't oppose us anymore." A man who wanted to be notified when homosexual indoctrination was going on in his son's kindergarten class (so he could take him out of the class to avoid such lessons) was handcuffed and taken to jail for "trespassing" and refusing to leave until he got his answer from the principal of the school (who - obviously refused to do as he asked).

The truth of the matter is that homosexual activists will NEVER be satisfied until Christians (and/or any religious persons who disagree with them) are COMPLETELY SILENCED. What's more, they will work the courts through "hate crimes" legislation to shut anyone up who holds to the biblical, God ordained mandate and definition of marriage as being between one man and one woman.

I certainly applaud the woman in the video who stood up for her free speech rights, her religious freedom rights, her freedom of association rights, and her courage to face such rabid, hate-filled hard-core radicals like those who were in the video.

Pro-Life Memorial Desecrated

I would not have believed that this was allowed to happen unless I had seen it with my own eyes via this video! As if this terrible act of desecration to the memorial isn't enough to anger you, there appears to be a campus patrolman (who does nothing!) standing by, arguing with the man who is tearing up dozens of the white wooden crosses which had been placed there in remembrance for the precious lives that have been lost through the scourge of abortion. The exhibit was LEGALLY placed there WITH PERMISSION from the college!

Why did this man go unpunished for this awful deed?

Liberal intolerance and fanaticism at its best...

From Michele Malkin's blog:

Video: Another campus pro-life memorial vandalized

By Michelle Malkin • May 7, 2008 09:45 AM

It has happened again. In January 2006, pro-abortion thugs destroyed a pro-life memorial of wooden crosses at Louisiana State University. In April 2006, a nutball feminist professor at Northern Kentucky University led another destructive raid on a pro-life Cementery of Innocents. And this week, at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, pro-abortion vandals struck–pulling up hundreds of crosses from a display sponsored by Pointers for Life. College Republican Ryan Wrasse sent me a video of one of the pro-abortion thugs gone wild– a student government senator named Roderick King.

News coverage here and here.
Caution: Liberal tolerance at work.

Obama's Preacher's Hate Speech

The following two links each contain actual recordings of Obama's "preacher" spewing some awful, anti-American hate speech. He certainly doesn't sound like any genuine Christian pastor that I have ever known or heard!

Jeremiah Wright's Hate Speech (part 1)

Those audio clips are bad enough, but the next four are far worse! In fact, he takes the name of God in vain in one clip!!!

Jeremiah Wright's Hate Speech (part 2)

That place is no true Christian church. It's an ugly, demonic, hateful, anti-American political forum for a ranting maniac who tries to pass himself off as a "pastor."

Awful!!!

What others have written (including a video at Hot Air!):

1. Michele Malkin - Now we know where Michelle Obamas' resentment of America comes from.

2. Hot Air - Video: Obama's pastor takes highly nuanced approach to racial divisiveness.

Why All the Fuss?

Since I am not a fan of the Los Angeles Times, I rarely read any of the articles from the online edition of the paper. However, the following one caught my eye. I received a link via Christian Business Daily and found it quite interesting. I plan to make ask some questions about it at the end of this post.

CAMPAIGN '08
Huckabee's faith cuts both ways
Jay L. Clendenin / Los Angeles Times
AFTER CHURCH: With his wife Janet at his side, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee leaves after Sunday services at the Cornerstone Family Church in Des Moines.
Religion helped him as governor, he says. Some saw it as a hindrance.
By Joe Mathews, Los Angeles Times Staff Writer
December 31, 2007
ARKADELPHIA, ARK. -- Five days after the tornado tore through the state, this city of 10,000 lay in ruins. The cyclone destroyed an office building, a bank, a pharmacy and 70 other businesses. The electricity was out. The National Guard patrolled the streets. Six people were dead.

In Little Rock, GOP Gov. Mike Huckabee was reviewing a disaster insurance measure that he intended to support when he became troubled: The bill, drawing on centuries-old legal terminology, referred to natural disasters as "acts of God."

In a time of emergency, Huckabee would hold up the measure for more than three weeks to press his personal objection that the Almighty could not be blamed for the region's loss. In the process, he drew damaging headlines and created new strains in his relations with the state's legislature, the General Assembly.

Today, a decade later, Huckabee's religious faith is taking new prominence as voters in Iowa prepare to cast the first ballots of the 2008 presidential contest in Thursday's caucuses. Huckabee, a former Southern Baptist minister, has sprung to the front of the Republican pack with an appeal built largely around his claim that his Christian faith "defines" him.

If voters want to know how his faith would influence his presidency, "the best way to look at it is how I served as a governor," Huckabee said Sunday on NBC's "Meet the Press." "I didn't ever propose a bill that we would remove the Capitol dome of Arkansas and replace it with a steeple. You know, we didn't do tent revivals on the grounds of the Capitol. But my faith is important to me."

Huckabee's tenure as governor, 1996 to 2007, shows that his faith sometimes created political burdens for him, turning minor issues into public controversies and exacerbating tensions with other state leaders.

Huckabee at times seemed too biblical even for fellow believer-politicians in the Bible Belt. In the "acts of God" dispute, there is no indication that anyone was harmed by the delay, but some felt that the governor's religiosity, as politically expressed, came close to pettiness.

" 'Petty' is the best word to describe him," said Dennis R. Young, a state representative at the time who sponsored the relief measure and had been an early Huckabee supporter. "In these kinds of things, he'd make mountains out of molehills."

'My standard is Christ'

From his first day in office, Huckabee emphasized his faith. His inaugural day began with a prayer service at a Baptist church in Little Rock that Huckabee would recall as "almost like an ordination service." He described himself as a "servant leader" in the biblical tradition and banned smoking and swearing in the governor's office.

"My standard is Christ," he wrote in "Character Makes a Difference," published this year. "I will have to answer to him alone."

Huckabee, 52, has argued that his pastoral background helped him get some things done. He helped create a nonprofit foundation to enlist churches in moving families off welfare. After Hurricane Katrina hit neighboring Louisiana, his connections to ministers around the state hastened the opening of dozens of church camps to evacuees.

He cited God in explaining his special outreach efforts to African Americans. He invoked the Christian notion of stewardship -- that " 'the earth is the Lord's,' and that we are not its owners, merely its caretakers" -- in promoting a tax increase to fund parks and conservation.

And by his account, his faith deeply influenced his policies on abortion. Under Huckabee, the state banned late-term abortion procedures and unsuccessfully challenged a federal rule requiring Medicaid coverage of abortions for rape victims.

"When I became governor of Arkansas in 1996," he later wrote, "I recognized the same moral authority -- God's authority -- that I did as a pastor. . . . I not only want to know Him, I want others to be able to see Him through the decisions I make and by the way I make them."

In time, there was a backlash. In 1998, the Arkansas Times, an alternative weekly, ran a political cartoon of the state Capitol covered with a revival tent. Critics referred to Huckabee dismissively as the "Rev.-Gov."

And his judgment was strongly questioned after he publicly signaled an interest in granting clemency to a convicted rapist, Wayne DuMond, who had said he found religion in prison. Though it was the state parole board that opened the prison door, some board members said Huckabee had pressured them to release DuMond. DuMond was later convicted of killing a woman after his parole. Huckabee has denied applying pressure.

At times, those around him bristled at his biblical references. Huckabee was forced to apologize after suggesting environmentalists worshipped Earth instead of God. Legislators took offense when Huckabee was quoted in a 1998 church publication as saying, "As a pastor, I was surrounded by the things, the people, the language and the architecture of God. As governor, I'm surrounded by the devil." Huckabee said he was talking about social problems, not lawmakers.

A storm stirs

For those who believe Huckabee's religiosity was high-handed, there was no clearer example than the disaster relief legislation that came before him less than a week after the March 1997 tornado.

Senate Bill 491 was so straightforward it ran to only two pages. It sought to protect tornado victims from insurance companies that might cancel policies after they filed claims. "No insurance policy or contract covering damages to property shall be canceled nor the renewal thereof denied solely as a result of claims arising from acts of God," it read.

"Acts of God" had a long history in English maritime law and was standard language in many insurance policies.

The bill had been introduced a few days before the March 1 tornado wrecked more than 250 miles of Arkansas and caused the death of 25 people in all. It was touted by both parties as part of the relief response after the storm, and lawmakers and the governor said the protection was urgently needed.

Arkadelphia was hit hardest. "Everything I remembered about the place had vanished," wrote Huckabee, who had attended university there.

According to state legislative records, Huckabee first registered his objection to the Senate bill five days after the tornado. But his staff did not relay his concerns, he later wrote.

"While I realize that to some this is a minor issue, it is a matter of deep conscience with me to attribute in law a destructive and deadly force as being an 'act of God,' " he eventually wrote to the bill's sponsors, Young and Sen. Wayne Dowd. While acknowledging that "acts of God" was the "appropriate" legal term, he suggested the legislature substitute "natural disaster."

Holding firm

He said he would not sign the bill, drawing attack from both sides of the aisle. Democrats argued that the governor was imposing his religious vision on badly needed legislation. Some legislators felt that their own faith was being questioned by the governor. "I'm just as much a Baptist as he is," one lawmaker said in a legislative session.

Others suggested that Huckabee's conception of the Almighty was off. One Republican suggested he reread the Book of Job, with its parade of personal calamities. But Huckabee held firm. So did the legislators. The House, which had pulled the bill back, refused to amend it and passed it again, 93-0.

On the floor of the legislature, Huckabee was compared to the legalistic Pharisees in the Bible. Some lawmakers had substantive objections, saying that by not conforming to established language, the legislature could open up a loophole for insurance companies to exploit in court.

Commentators across the state denounced Huckabee. "We would suggest the governor sacrifice a bit of his personal theology for the greater public good. That would be an act of God," said a newspaper in Texarkana, where Huckabee had been a pastor for six years.

Still, Huckabee would not budge. Five alternative phrases for "acts of God" were proposed and rejected by one side or the other. Finally, the governor and legislature agreed to use the phrase "natural causes." The bill became law on April 4.

Public records in Little Rock and Arkadelphia show hundreds of disputes between insurers and tornado victims, though there is no indication that the four-week legislative delay harmed victims. Huckabee, who became governor when his predecessor, Bill Clinton, stepped down, won a full term the following year and reelection in 2002.

Longtime Huckabee friend Jonathan Barnett, who was made available by the Huckabee campaign to answer questions on the candidate's record, said he did not think the governor had any regrets about the matter. He also said Arkansas media and some legislators made more of the incident than it merited.

"I think he was just making a comment about his views," Barnett said of the governor.

Huckabee had won the "acts of God" dispute, but the incident established a pattern for bitter fights over details. "Instead of getting focused on getting aid to the areas, he's in an uproar over words," said Sen. Percy Malone. "It was kind of silly."

Malone notes that the dispute got little attention in Arkadelphia as it was happening, for a simple reason: Electricity was not restored until after the controversy had passed.

Granted, there is a LOT to debate and discuss regarding this article. Any and all comments about the article are welcome.

However, I want to focus on the following questions. Isn't it strange that a secular, government branch such as the state congress of Arkansas would want to force the issue to include the name of "God" in legislation? Aren't most pressing for that proverbial (and, btw, a phrase that is not in the Constitution) "separation of church and state" mantra to keep God out of government? Most descriptions of physical earth calamities use the term "natural disasters" anyway; so why all the fuss in Arkansas to label them as "Acts of God?"

Guilty of Christofascism?

In the comment section at this post, I was given a challenge by "Liberator Rev" to explain why the God of the Bible is so "evil" (in his eyes...mind you) and how could I (or anyone else) worship such a horrible "Being."

I recognized a lot of the items he listed as being typical of those who adhere to the "Skeptics Annotated Bible" (SAB). If you read the comments there, you will see that I was correct in my assumption.

I referred him to the Tektonics website so that he could find the answers to his objections and skewed theology. That site is an invaluable resource. It also has a huge online Apologetics encyclopedia. I think that every Christian should bookmark these two pages.

After my last comment to the Rev, I have noticed that he hasn't been back to comment. However, getting into the SAB discussion with him jogged my memory about a fabulous essay written by a guy with the screen name "Utopian Indigent." Here is a link. It is a profound essay entitled, A Right-Brained Case for Jesus.

I "met" Utopian (UT) via the Skeptics Annotated Bible Discussion Board back in 2004. After discovering the blogosphere, I gave up most of my discussion board posting (there, as well as at other message boards).

I have to admit, conversing with many people over there was often quite challenging. I would do my own research in the Scriptures to counter their skewed theology. But when I discovered "The Skeptics Annotated Bible Refuted" through the Tektonics site, I realized that perhaps my time spent there wasn't really productive anymore.

After reading UT's essay again, I decided to see if he was still posting over at the SAB board. I made a general post and found out that he still visits there. I invited him to come on over here and comment. We will see if he takes me up on the invitation.

Meanwhile, I met a member there named NannyG123 who replied to my post. She sounded really nice and said that she will come visit this blog. Then, another commenter came along (who, apparently came over and read a few posts here). This is what he (she?) had to say after his (her?) visit:

Wow! Is there some way to rename your site because it needs a major name change.

Maybe you should try some of these suggestions:
Talk uniformed and not so knowledgeble
Talk lies and misdirection
Talk right wing
Talk Christofascism.

The last one says it best...

Now...I have been called many disparaging names before. People have written unflattering comments about my Biblical Christian faith and what I share here. But as far as I can recall, this is the first time that my blog has been labeled as "Christofascism."

Tsk tsk...

BTW, when I posted a link here, I warned the crowd over there that they (most of them, anyway) would probably hate my blog.

Why such vitriole from someone I don't know...and who obviously knows nothing about me either? It amazes me sometimes. It shouldn't...but it does.

Why "Hate" Shouldn't Be A Crime

Christian Apologetics author and speaker, Greg Koukl, has done another outstanding job pointing out three reasons Why Hate Shouldn't Be A Crime.

Greg's article is absolutely excellent. He covers all the "bases." Most importantly, he includes a gospel message urging those in need of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, to come to Him through repentance (which includes us all); but particularly, repentance for the sin of homosexual behavior (which means agreeing with God's Word that homosexual behavior is sin, confessing this fact, and then, through sanctification in the Lord, turning away from that lifestyle).

On the political side, Greg states:

I am against hate crimes, but I also am against hate crime laws for three reasons. First, they criminalize thought, not behavior. Second, they do not protect individuals, but rather select classes of people. Third, they actually encourage hostility towards one group of people, Christians.

I would add a fourth reason. All three of these reasons add to the potential for abuse by the "victim" of a "hate" crime. Many incidences of false claims of "hate" crimes are already happening, even without a federal law in place.

I have written extensively on this topic here at this blog. The following are just a few of my previous blog posts.

1. Devastating Error of Hate Crimes Law [Note: May need to scroll down page to read.]

2. Destroying Freedom of Conscience

3. Bad "Hate Crimes" Law Silences Biblical Speech

I did find it surprising that Mr. Koukl didn't include the fact that Matthew Shepard wasn't actually killed because of his sexual orientation. It was revealed, years later, on 20/20 that he was kidnapped, robbed and killed. It came out in the trial of the two murderers that Shepard was targeted for drug money.

So, we have yet another reason why "hate crimes" laws are unnecessary. The fact that the "poster boy" (term "poster boy" not meant to be derogatory, it's just a fact) for hate crimes legislation (against homosexuals) wasn't actually killed for that reason shows yet another potential for error of judgment which would be inherent in such a law.

There are many good comments at the end of Greg's article. One, in particular was clear, concise, absolutely spot on, and really stood out to me:

Chuck writes: Saturday, July, 21, 2007 5:49 AM
Opposition to Homosexuality can be love

GOD-GIVEN RIGHTS ARE SUPERIOR TO HUMAN RIGHTS
Please try to visualize my smile and feel the warmth of God’s love in my heart as I type this letter of concern, and consider it as “love language.” By the way, just like many others, I have been offended by “hate language” from preachers who ministered condemnation with bigotry, anger, and hatred. But about 32 years ago (July-Oct 1975) “I believed the report” (the gospel of Jesus Christ preached in love) and “the arm of the Lord” (Isaiah 53:1) lifted me out of a darkened world of selfish lusts and pride and filled my heart with His divine love, joy and holiness.

Now, by the grace of God (His life-changing influence), I am the faithful husband of one wife (31 years), and father of five normal children (3 boys and 2 girls). Not because of my goodness, but because of God’s mercy and the spiritual elevation where He has lifted me (through trusting in His word), I can look back at the valley of corruption where I lived for 35 years, and see other unfortunate people who think they are having fun, but are unaware of their predicament; and I desire to help them become delivered like I was.

If the Bible is true (and I know it is), God has ZERO TOLERANCE for homosexuality in His spiritual Kingdom, both now and in eternity, and so should we in America. God’s hatred for homosexuality is directly proportional to His love for delivering people from it. Please consider the following pieces of objective evidence:

(1) God created each human with one of two distinct genders - “male or female” (Gen 2:24-25, Matt 19:4-6, Eph 5:31), with many attractive physical and functional gender distinctions, so that 1 masculine man and 1 feminine woman can "marry" or “fit together” as a couple, and reproduce another generation of normal masculine boys and feminine girls. People who think they were created or born gay, are victims of extreme degeneration. Therefore, the term “same-sex marriage” is an oxymoron, unrealistic, contrived by dishonest people who ignore reality.

For example, in the electronics industry, it is impossible for 2 male plugs or 2 female connectors to be "mated," or to be used together to accomplish the purpose intended by their designer. They are just an open circuit. Only 1 male plus 1 female can be physically and functionally related as “a couple;” and together they can complete the circuit.

Likewise, there is no such thing as "gay marriage" or "same-sex marriage.” Why? Because it is impossible for 2 men or 2 women to "marry" and fulfill the purpose of marriage ordained by their Designer. Also, a truly “civil union” is marriage between a “civilized” (moral) man and woman.

(2) Negative Scriptures stating who God WILL NOT accept into His Kingdom (Lev.18:22-24, Rom 1:18-31; 2:1-3, 1 Cor.6:9-10, Gal.5:19-21, and 1 John 2:15-17). There may be some religious homosexuals, but there is no such thing as a Christian homosexual; they are just pretenders; but they could easily become Christians (see 3-7).

(3) Positive Scriptures stating who God WILL accept into His kingdom (Rom 1:15-16, 14:17, 1 Cor 6:11, Gal 5:22 and Eph 1:4).

(4) Positive Scriptures describing the complete new birth procedure Jesus gave to His New Testament church - how to be delivered from the world and into God’s Kingdom (John 3:3-5, Acts 2:38-42 and 19:1-7).

(5) God’s willingness to reach out with His strong arm of love (John 3:16), and joyfully enter into hearts and cleanse them from abnormal desires, so they are free to live the way He created us. If they think they were “born gay” and can’t change, they can be born again normal.

(6) The joy in heaven when sinners repent and turn away from their sins (Luke 15:7).

(7) The wonderful feelings of relief and joy in our hearts when we receive deliverance from sin and guilt, exactly the same way sinners did while the New Testament was being written (1 Peter 1:8). The only legitimate “human right” we have, is to live right in God’s sight.

(8) I understand this by personal experience (Acts 1:8).
Not only are homosexuals and lesbians abusing their God-given physical and biological resources (and each other and our heritage), but these men and women are living way below their potential. They are just wasting their lives on a few moments of selfish pleasure. What benefits are there in walking a path known to be a dead-end both physically and spiritually?

"Daily Kos" Outed as Hate Website

Gateway Pundit:

Well... Too bad for Daily Kos...It looks like the cat's out of the bag, now.

Daily Kos was outed tonight on the O'Reilly Factor- Full Video HERE.

After describing some of the hate speech from the website...Bill O'Reilly says Daily Kos is "like the Nazi Party- It's like the Ku Klux Klan!"

But that's not all, folks!

At Newsbusters, you can View and listen to the smarmy CEO of JetBlue trying to weasel his way out of the questions being asked by Bill O'Reilly's assistant about JetBlue's sponsorship of haters like the Daily Kos at their upcoming convention called "YearlyKos."

HT's:

Gateway Pundit

Newsbusters

LGF

P.S. It is only fair to warn you that if you click on the "Daily Kos" link and scroll down to the whinning leader's post about this news, there is some terrible language being thrown out there.

However, the end of the loonie whiner's post was classic:

And it goes on. You get the point. Irony in spades, layer after layer of it.

But what can you say when O'Reilly runs the most hate-filled television show in cableland, on the Republican Party's premier propaganda outlet?

Really, par for the course.

I'll be back on the job Friday. See you then.

Oh BOO HOO! YOU NINNY!!

O'Reilly's show is the most "hate-filled TV show?" Fox News is a "Republican propaganda outlet?"

Give me a break!!

It's just that socialists never like any information from those with whom they disagree to be made public and given a huge audience as O'Reilly's show has generated.

I just wonder what these people at Daily Kos think of Keith Olbermann? He's probably their poster boy for their radical socialistic propaganda machine.

Ugh!!

Combating Radical Left's Hold on Universities

The radical left's hold upon our colleges and universities is obvious for all to see. It's been going on for decades now. However, I am so pleased to learn that organizations like Alliance Defense Fund and David Horowitz's National Campaign for Academic Freedom are actively fighting against such strongholds.

This morning, I was responding to a member at my message board regarding the denial of tenure to Guillermo Gonzalez because certain faculty colleagues (admittedly) didn't like the hypothesis he presented in his successful book The Privileged Planet.

Here's what I wrote:

I think that the point is that Gonzalez is being denied tenure because of personal beliefs that he has pursued on his own time and not because of his teaching ability (as well as the requirements he met for papers published) at the university. To me, it appears that the thought police are "doing him in" and, in essence, actually firing him from his position (in which he has apparently done an exemplary job, btw) just because they don't like his hypothesis in his successful book The Privileged Planet.

I think it is unbelievably ironic that a rabid, anti-American professor like Ward Churchill can keep his job after calling the people who died in the World Trade Center terrorist attack "little Eichmans" and making the terribly heartless statement that they "deserved to die;" but a man like Gonzalez gets booted from his university because of a successful book that the elitists don't like.

Something doesn't smell right.

Oh yeah...it's probably the permeating smell of the "burn the conservative American" for his personal views at the stake while letting the socialist commie get a pass...

Then, I received an email message that demonstrated yet another attempt to silence those with whom the rabid leftists disagree:

I've got some truly great news to share with you immediately.

We've opened another door of opportunity - this time it's on the campus of Stetson University, a prestigious private school in DeLand, FL. I know you're busy, so let me give you a quick summary.

Almost two years ago, Stetson's College Republicans invited me to speak at their school about our National Campaign for Academic Freedom. As you know, I'm always delighted when students want to hear about our campaign and become involved in our efforts to promote intellectual diversity in the academic curriculum .

Sitting in the audience that evening was Mrs. Martha Apgar a benefactor of the university. Following my presentation and subsequent discussions she had with Stetson students, Mrs. Apgar donated $1 million to establish a conservative speakers' program! Their first speaker? William F. Buckley, Jr.

I hope this lifts your spirits as much it does mine. The support of conservatives across the country for the National Campaign for Academic Freedom is truly making a difference.

Of course, as important as each victory like this is, you understand well the battle that remains. For more than four decades radical leftists have embedded themselves on campuses in every state, from community colleges to major universities and attempted to turn classrooms into political platforms.

These are men and women who've made careers out of their anti-American beliefs - they're not going to give up their turf without a fight. And they'll go to any extreme to crush their enemies - even ruining livelihoods.

Take, for example, the outrageous action undertaken by the Maricopa County Community College District (MCCCD) system against Professor Walter Kehowski.

Last fall, as Thanksgiving Day approached, Kehowski emailed his colleagues the text of George Washington's "Thanksgiving Day Proclamation of 1789" along with a link to the webpage where he'd found it - conservative writer Pat Buchanan's web log.

In a very short time, five faculty members filed complaints, claiming Kehowski's email was "hostile" and "derogatory" because of the link to Buchanan's website.

Just days ago Chancellor Rufus Glasper placed Kehowski on leave and recommended his firing. That's right. They want to fire a professor for sending colleagues an email of the text of our first president's Thanksgiving address and because that email had a link to a conservative's website.

I need your financial help to take these two steps right now:

Place an ad in the Maricopa County Communty College District school paper, alerting students to this violation of Kehowski's First Amendment Rights and introducing them to our Campaign and our Academic Bill of Rights.

Continue to expand our Campaign by readying materials for 30 more chapters of Students for Academic Freedom when students return to campuses in mid-August.
Your past support has helped the Center establish more than 215 SAF chapters! They've become powerful resources for students who dare to challenge the radical left's hold on their schools.

Too often our victories - as in the Stetson University case - are bittersweet. The radical left is scared of our National Campaign for Academic Freedom and they turn that fear into vicious attacks whenever and wherever possible.

I hope you will take a moment to stand with me again now. Our goal is to make our campuses bastions of unbiased learning and thinking, not political indoctrination. Thank you again for all of your past support.

Sincerely,
David Horowitz

This effort is, indeed, good news.

Where's The Academic Freedom?

Articles of interest:

Academia's Assault on Intelligent Design

Excerpt:

What is the state of academic freedom when well qualified candidates are rejected simply because they see God's fingerprints on the cosmos? Isn't the Academy supposed to be a venue for diverse views? Aren't universities supposed to foster an atmosphere that allows for robust discussion and freedom of thought? Dr. Gonzalez's fate suggests that anyone who deigns to challenge conventional orthodoxy is not welcome in the club.

In the future, will scientists who are up for tenure be forced to deny that God could have played any role in the creation or design of the universe? Will Bible-believing astronomers be forced to repudiate Psalm 19, which begins, "The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands"? Will faithful Catholics be required to reject the teaching of Vatican I, which said that God "can be known with certainty from the consideration of created things, by the natural power of human reason..." Just where will this witch hunt lead?

The amazing fact is that, even as many science departments are working overtime to forbid professors from positing that there is evidence for intelligent design in the universe, more and more scientists are coming to this conclusion. The Discovery Institute has compiled a list of over seven-hundred scientists who signed the following statement: "We are skeptical of claims for the ability of random mutation and natural selection to account for the complexity of life. Careful examination of the evidence for Darwinian theory should be encouraged." The list of scientists who find good reason to doubt the strictly materialistic Darwinism that is currently scientific orthodoxy is growing every day.

It seems that many scientists and academicians who hold views contrary to Dr. Gonzalez have concluded that the best way to avoid debate about the evidence for intelligent design is to simply deny jobs to those who will not affirm their atheistic worldview. The fact that these scientists, who are supposedly open to following the evidence wherever it leads, have resorted to blatant discrimination to avoid having this conversation speaks volumes about the weakness of their position. They realize their arguments are not sufficient to defeat the intelligent design movement and they must, therefore, shut their opponents out of the conversation. All the evidence suggests that it is unjust that Dr. Gonzalez was denied tenure and that this ruling should be overturned on appeal. Nevertheless, what happened to Dr. Gonzalez is a reflection of the growing strength of the intelligent design movement, not its weakness.

Darwinism: Still Improvable

Excerpt:

The Darwinian account of the origins of life, he insists, does not begin to qualify as scientifically verifiable by the standards that science itself demands. In a recent Pennsylvania case, for example, the National Academy of Sciences spelled out these standards. "In science," it said, "explanations are restricted to those that can be confirmed from the confirmable data – the results obtained through observations and experiments that can be substantiated by other scientists. Anything that can be observed or measured is amendable to scientific investigation. Explanations that cannot be based upon empirical evidence are not part of science."

On these grounds the court ruled out intelligent design as scientific. But on exactly the same grounds, Grose's book contends, Darwinian theory should also be ruled out. "Pray tell," he demands, "where are the specific, observable, testable, confirmable data – obtained through observations and experiments – concerning [Darwin's view of] origins? There are none. And there never will be."
This was the assertion that first vaulted him into the public eye in October 1969, when the California State Board of Education came under fire for refusing to present Darwinian theory as scientific fact. Grose defended the board and in subsequent months found himself denounced by 19 Nobel laureates who signed a petition against him, while the National Academy broke its own rules by plunging into the political affairs of a single state. News media around the world portrayed him as advocating Genesis for public school textbooks. Cartoons ridiculed him as a scientific ignoramus.

The California board backed him nevertheless, empowering him to edit the state's science texts from which he excised 218 statements, many of them sheer myth, to reclassify Darwinian theory from fact to dogma. The Genesis explanation of origins is "a belief, not a fact," Grose reiterates, "and so is Darwin's." In the end, the Board of Education voted unanimously to uphold him, and even the Academy came around. "The search for knowledge must be conducted under conditions of intellectual freedom," it said, "without religious, political or ideological restriction."

This inhibits the religious. It should, and perhaps one day will, inhibit the irreligious as well. Grose's long-suppressed book may be purchased at AuthorHouse.com.

Don't Touch God's Rainbow!

This is something that needed to be done a long time ago! However, it's better late than never.

Christian students have had it! They've had it with the homosexual indoctrination going on in their high schools. They are no longer willing to just sit on the sidelines of this volatile debate and watch their free speech rights trampled by the PC liberal elitists who have gotten away with allowing expression of only one side and view on the issue of homosexual promotion!

I say BRAVO BRAVE STUDENTS!

I am sensing just the beginning of the end for the anarchy of the gay indoctrination era!

Students are now reclaiming their free speech rights, no matter what it may cost them in the beginning. Right now, apparently, it is costing them suspensions.

Suspensions, furor over ‘anti-gay’ shirts Parents, students, church leaders press board for free-speech rights

Excerpt:

Local Christian leaders, working with an attorney through the non-profit Pacific Justice Institute, created a resolution asking the board to protect students' right to freedom of speech and religious expression on campus.

Board member Larry Masuoka presented the resolution at the meeting. Parents and students demanded that their fundamental right to free speech and religious expression be upheld, and students told of being harassed by peers and teachers because of their message.

The resolution reads:

As Christian students enrolled at the San Juan Unified School District and members of student religious clubs, we seek to resolve an ongoing conflict regarding free expression on high school campuses. To this end, we respectfully submit this request as follows:

Whereas, there is an ongoing disagreement between students and District administrators, teachers and staff, regarding the rights to free expression on high school campuses;

Whereas, Christian students have worn clothing and distributed literature which the District asserts offends students who are homosexual or otherwise identify themselves as "gay" or "lesbian";

Whereas, students who have engaged in expressive conduct have been subject to discipline, including suspensions;

Whereas, students who have been subject to discipline for peacefully engaging in expressive conduct have protested in front of school campuses;

Whereas, Christian students who engage in peaceful expressive conduct on matters of contemporary moral, political and social topics are acting in accordance with a long tradition within the faith community;

Whereas, proposed laws addressing issues directly related to homosexuality are currently being debated in California;

Whereas, attempts to silence students by punishing or otherwise censoring them has served to aggravate the disagreement between Christian students and the District;

Whereas, as people of faith it is our religious and civic duty to not be silent on important issues;

Whereas, we will continue to exercise our rights of speech on District campuses, both as individuals and through student clubs;

Whereas, as Christians we also seek to live at peace with all of our fellow students and District employees;

Whereas, we believe that all peaceable students are entitled to educational opportunities regardless of their beliefs;

Whereas, students should not be subjected to bullying by other students, discipline by administrators, or academic punishment by teachers merely for what they believe and for peacefully expressing those beliefs;

Whereas, the students and religious clubs are desirous of obtaining an agreement with the District which both protects student speech and maintains an atmosphere which is civil;

Therefore, we respectfully request that the Board of Trustees direct District administrators to draft general guidelines for expressive conduct to be presented for review to the Board at the next board meeting. In view of this, the Christian students have these requirements for the guidelines as follows:

permit students to speak to moral issues and conduct;

permit quotations from religious texts such as the Bible; and,

create a safe, educationally sound, environment for all students regardless of belief.

I hope and pray that this catches on BIG TIME!

It's about time!!

P.S.

One shirt that caused an uproar was emblazoned with, "Don't touch God's rainbow."
Amen!

In a related school morality matter, read these two letters-to-the-editor that are currently posted over at WorldNetDaily:

Why I quit teaching

This ['Have sex, do drugs, speaker says'] is why I quit teaching after 18 years of fighting juvenile mentality such as this. The secular-progressives have trashed all moral boundaries. Our country will follow other great civilizations into the ash-heap of history if this continues unabated. "What is right/wrong" has been changed, by these "S-Ps," to "Who's right/wrong," a hedonistic, amoral philosophy.

With that mentality comes the tossing of "Equality under the law" to "the law is the toughest, meanest, baddest," or "might-makes-right."

Send him to prison

The speaker at Boulder High School who told the kids to have sex and do drugs needs to be sent to prison for contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

During his stay in prison he can witness how drugs have destroyed peoples lives and personally tell the prisoners to have sex since they were going to do it anyway.

The Loathing of Christianity by the "New" Atheists

Tonight is the night of the big debate between two Christian evangelists, Ray Comfort and Kirk Cameron, against two atheists from the "Rational Response Squad."

In this newsletter link, Comfort states:

"The atheists made it very clear they didn't like what we said," Cameron explained. "They were full of mockery and sarcasm, belittling the many great scientists and intellectuals who recognize the existence of a Supreme Being. But the average American isn't viciously anti-God. In fact, polls show that more than 90 percent believe in His existence. Our hope is that the program will cause people to think deeply about the evidence presented, and challenge them to consider this most important issue of life."

How interesting it is to recognize, in advance, that the audience (which was comprised of fifty Christians and fifty atheists) reactions during the debate shows such a stark contrast between the two camps. The Christians were polite and respectful during the debate while the venomous and hateful atheists unloaded nothing but anger, mockery, and insults:

As per ABC's stipulations, the audience was composed half-and-half -- fifty Christians and fifty atheists. The Christians were very quiet and polite -- the atheists weren't. It was very apparent who was who in the audience. It seemed that no matter what we said, it was completely ignored by Brian and Kelly (the atheists) and then followed up with their anger, mockery, and insults. But as with a good open air, the heckler is simply a platform to speak to the crowd who is listening. In this case there is a crowd of millions who will hear clear, concise evidence for the existence of God. How incredible. So I am delighted, because of what we were able to say.

Found this article called The New Atheists loathe religion far too much to plausibly challenge it via Parabiodox's blog.

Author Madeleine Bunting concludes:

This isn't the kind of debate that the New Atheists are interested in (with the possible exception of Dennett, who in an interview last year was far more open to discussion than his book would indicate); theirs is a political battle, not an attempt to advance human understanding. But even on the political front, one has to question whether all the aggression isn't counterproductive. Robert Winston voiced increasing concern among scientists when he argued in a recent lecture in Dundee that Dawkins's insulting and patronising approach did science a disservice. Meanwhile, critics in America argue that the polarisation of the debate in the U.S. is setting the cause of non-deism back rather than advancing it.

Dawkins is an unashamed proselytiser. He says in his preface that he intends his book for religious readers and his aim is that they will be atheists by the time they finish reading it. Yet The God Delusion is not a book of persuasion, but of provocation - it may have sold in the thousands but has it won any souls? Anyone who has experienced such a conversion, please email me (with proof). I suspect the New Atheists are in danger of a spectacular failure. With little understanding and even less sympathy of why people increasingly use religious identity in political contexts, they've missed the proverbial elephant in the room. These increasingly hysterical books may boost the pension, they may be morale boosters for a particular kind of American atheism that feels victimised - the latest candidate in a flourishing American tradition - but one suspects that they are going to do very little to challenge the appeal of a phenomenon they loathe too much to understand.

There is lots of other news to share. Will post more here later. However, this video, post, and comments over at Hot Air are just too good to pass up!!

Tammy Bruce does a number on exposing the far-left Soros loonies who are obsessed with destroying conservative voices in the media.

*******

Did you notice this too? Speakers at the Virginia Tech convocation yesterday called on Allah and Buddha in their efforts to minister to the survivors, family and friends of victims of the shooting massacre at the school but Jesus wasn't mentioned by name.

As WorldNetDaily reports in the article, I certainly was also dismayed and disappointed that they had:

A Liberal Lutheran Minister talking about 'healing,' etc. and how everyone needs to come together (blah, blah, blah…); BUT NOT ONE EVANGELICAL CHRISTIAN PASTOR/PREACHER. NO INVOCATION OF THE NAME OF CHRIST JESUS."

Most of the other official statements of condolence released also ignored the Savior of the Christian faith.

Should we be surprised? Probably not...

Action Against Bad Bills Needed Today

Anti-Christian & Assisted Suicide Bills Up for Votes
Tuesday, March 27, 2007!!!
Phone Calls Needed Today!!
*******

TAKE ACTION!!

Assembly Bill 14 and Assembly Bill 374 are set for hearing and votes by the Assembly Judiciary Committee Tuesday, March 27th.

Please call all members of the Assembly Judiciary Committee TODAY ask that they vote NO on AB 14 & AB 374!! Votes on AB 14 and AB 374 can happen anytime after 9:00 AM.

*******

ASSEMBLY BILL 14 (by Laird (D)): Anti-Christian Discrimination
AB 14 aims to incorporate full protection for homosexuality, bisexuality and transgender all under the guise of “sexual orientation” in 50 different sections of California law, while at the same time discriminating against people of faith, churches and Christian businesses.

Here are some of the provisions targeting people of faith and Christianity:

•Would prohibit a college campus that receives state funds from using any of those funds to participate with a private organization that does not accept homosexuality.

•Would prohibit the state from getting involved with or using facilities owned by private organizations if they do not accept homosexuality.

•All hospitals in the state, even private religious hospitals, would be forced to explicitly adopt non-discrimination treatment policies listing “sexual orientation” and accepting homosexuality.

•The beliefs of contractors and businesses must be compromised to accept homosexuality in order to receive state contracts under AB 14.

*******

ASSEMBLY BILL 374 (by Berg (D)): Assisted Suicide
This bill would allow doctors to give their terminal patients, if they request it, medication that would end their lives. This bill cheapens life and would encourage patients to end their lives. This bill also makes the elderly vulnerable to being pressured into ending their lives.

AB 374 would establish the so-called California Compassionate Choices Act, ensuring that

“…an adult who meets certain qualifications…suffering from a terminal disease would be able to make a request for medication prescribed pursuant to this bill to provide comfort with an assurance of peaceful dying if suffering becomes unbearable.”

It would also “…provide that action taken in accordance with the act shall not constitute suicide or homicide.” And, the bill would […provide immunity from civil or criminal liability or professional disciplinary action for participating in good faith compliance with this act.”

AB 374 is a despicable and misleading effort to make the reprehensible practice of physician-assisted legal. It should be opposed because it is a dishonest and contradictory attempt to establish active physician-assisted suicide and it perpetuates dangerous lies about euthanasia and tries to enshrine them in law.

Update: 3/28/07
This is the national bill:

ACTION ALERT

Pro-Homosexual/Drag Queen Hate Crimes Bill Will Move Quickly!
Begins to Lay the Legal Framework Whereby Bible-believing Pastors, Business Owners and Individuals can be Persecuted and Prosecuted.

It is vital that Bible-believing people immediately contact their U.S. Representative and Two (2) U.S. Senators.

We must defeat H.R. 1592, the Local Law Enforcement Hate Crimes Prevention Act of 2007, by Congressman John Conyers, Democrat from Michigan, who is Judiciary Committee Chairman! Also, it is expected that Senator Ted Kennedy, Democrat from Massachusetts, will soon introduce similar legislation in the U.S. Senate.

Without your action, this anti-Christian legislation will pass -- under the guise of hate-crime prevention -- and accomplish the following homosexual goals:

Silence the Bible-believing Churches, Pastors and Christians
Criminalize so-called “hate speech,” – which is any speech that is critical of homosexuality or cross-dressing behaviors. The suppression of free speech will be justified by the claim that such speech “incites” individuals to commit violence against homosexuals, cross-dressers etc. Any remarks about homosexuality, such as reading Bible passages, preaching on these passages, telling a person they can come out of the homosexual lifestyle, etc. will be deemed critical remarks and will be ruled to be outside the bounds of First Amendment protections for pastors, business owners and individuals.

Elevate homosexuality and cross-dressing behaviors such as drag queens, transsexualism, she-males, etc. to the status of federally-protected minorities. These behaviors will be considered equal to race under the federal law.

Interfere with local law enforcement by elevating every alleged incident of “hate” against a homosexual or cross-dresser into a federal crime.
Fund anti-Christian curriculum for children K-12, through the U.S. Departments of Education and Justice to promote homosexuality and cross-dressing as normal behaviors.

The passage of H.R. 1592 will be a serious threat to free speech and freedom of religion. This so-called Hate Crimes Bill begins to lay the legal framework to persecute and prosecute those who refuse, for moral and religious reasons, to agree or teach their children that homosexuality, transgender, cross-dressing etc is normal and desirable.

Ultimately, a pastor’s sermon concerning homosexuality could be considered an incitement to violence and punished with a fine or prison.
This has already occurred in Sweden, Canada, and England and efforts are underway in Brazil to punish any person who speaks out against homosexuality.

Indoctrinate U

Inside Indoctrinate U

Excerpt:

Speech codes. Censorship. Enforced political conformity. Hostility to diversity of opinion. Sensitivity training. We usually associate such things with the worst excesses of fascism and communism, not with the American universities that nurtured the free speech movement. But American higher education bears a disturbing resemblance to the totalitarian societies that are anathema to our nation’s ideal of liberty.

Evan Coyne Maloney’s documentary film, Indoctrinate U, reveals the breathtaking institutional intolerance you won't read about in the glossy marketing brochures of Harvard, Berkeley, Michigan, Yale, and hundreds of other American colleges and universities.

"When we think of going to college, we think of intellectual freedom. We imagine four years of exploring ideas through energetic, ongoing, critical thinking and debate," Maloney said. "But the reality is very far from the ideal. What most of us don't know is that American college students check their First Amendment rights and individual freedom at the door."

The Trailer clip is a must see!!

Public Schools Circumventing Parental Authority

Faultline USA has a post at her blog that needs to get widespread attention. Her title reveals the immense importance of what is being said: Discrediting the Family as an Institution: THE BIG PICTURE.

Excerpt:

Why our public schools are circumventing parental authority – encouraging students to lie to their parents – and are attempting to destroy the very fabric of family and society. . .

It’s amazing to me – absolutely amazing - that, according to Google, less than 400 blogs have even covered the story of Deerfield High School, and it’s been almost a full day since the last news coverage of this issue.

Summary: Deerfield High School freshman students are required to attend a Gay-Straight Alliance Network panel discussion led by "gay" and "lesbian" upper classmen promoting the homosexual agenda. No alternative viewpoint is presented. Students are also required to sign a “Confidentiality Agreement” that they will not reveal the content of this course to their parents.

For more background please read the following articles we ran Thursday and Friday:“Confidentiality Promise”: Don’t Tell Your Parents,
School Says “Don’t Tell Your Parents”, and

With my post here, now there are at least 401 blogs talking about this issue!

Many Now Recognizing the Heresy of Warren

Here are some more interesting letters from WorldNetDaily about Rick Warren.

I will place some comments in between:

A better handle on evil

Mr. Farah: My name is Clint Grimes. I am 46 years old. My wife and I have been members of Saddleback Church for almost 17 years. I have known the Warrens that long. I am part of the guest relations ministry, a group of law enforcement professionals that protect the Warrens at public events in Southern California, including Sunday services at Saddleback. In addition to my job as a Long Beach Police Officer, I am a commander in the Navy Reserve. I write you from Kuwait Naval Base, where I have been stationed since August. I am a Christian and I would like to say that I love and admire Pastor Rick and Saddleback Church. I would also like to say that I believe that I am intellectually honest. I have been deployed to the Middle East twice. I have read and seen a lot. As it stands I receive an in-depth intelligence brief three times a week. Regarding Rick's comment about Syria being moderate, you are right, and he was wrong. The government of Syria is not moderate. They do fuel insurgency, put limits on religious expression and are openly anti-Semitic. I also would like to acquaint you a phenomenon of which you may be aware. Many people, mostly Christians believe or at least act like they are protected by the force of their good will and do not recognize many of the evils of the world as well as situations in which they may be in danger. I guess this is naivety. Many people at Saddleback are like this, especially the staff. Living in the upper, upper middleclass community of South Orange County also feeds this mentality. The staff thought we were nuts when we suggested that he, Kay and the other preaching pastors have protection on campus about 10 years ago, and it took a couple of incidents before the staff realize that we knew what we were talking about. In conclusion, I would like to say that Rick is a great man and a great pastor. He has and will continue to do a lot of good. I don't know you, but I have read enough to know that you are a great editor of a magazine that tackles the issues head on. I believe that you and I just have a better handle of what evil is, what it looks like, and how it manifests itself. May God Bless you and your work throughout 2007.

Cdr. Clint Grimes

*******

Unfortunately, as a long-time member of Saddleback Church, I think that the loyalty that Cdr. Grimes has towards Rick Warren prevents him from recognizing the heresy that his pastor is involved in. However, I do think that the commander was absolutely correct when he stated:

Quote:
Many people, mostly Christians believe or at least act like they are protected by the force of their good will and do not recognize many of the evils of the world as well as situations in which they may be in danger. I guess this is naivety. Many people at Saddleback are like this, especially the staff. Living in the upper, upper middleclass community of South Orange County also feeds this mentality.

I have found that many Christians (usually of the liberal side of the equation) do not see the evil in the world as something that needs to be confronted and battled against by believers. They seem to think that the "battle is the Lord's." Well, that's true, but we are his "army," so to speak, here on the earth and we are not to just sit around and wait for the return of Jesus and do absolutely nothing to combat evil whenever, or wherever we see it!

David faced Goliath in the Old Testament. God was with David, but David also needed to confront Goliath by taking action through hurling that stone at him! Please understand the context of what I am saying, I'm not saying that we are to literally "throw stones" at our opponents. But we are not supposed to just stand by and allow the damage to our morals, ethics, and values to continue, unfettered, in this nation either!

There needs to be balance.

I think that Bill O'Reilly lays out such balance in the last chapter of his book, Culture Warrior.

Although O'Reilly doesn't limit culture warriors to the term "Christian" outrightly in his book, it is increasingly obvious that we need more traditional Christian culture warriors to speak out against the secular progressives that would want to change our nation so that it is unrecognizable as a nation that was originally built on Judeo-Christian moral, values, and ethics!

Media's anointed

Pastor Warren is in love with himself. His ego is tremendous and I really can't listen to him anymore. He is in the line of Tammy Faye and Jim Baker. It's all about him, not Christ. His book, "The Purpose Driven Life," is for people who have no clue about faith or life. The media has anointed him until they find some dirt and knock him off his pedestal.

Ave Maria Bacher

*******

I can certainly see why Ave said that. "The Purpose" book has value for those who are already saved by the cross of Jesus Christ. But it is not a book that will lead the unsaved to salvation.

Unfortunately, the cross of Jesus Christ is barely mentioned in Warren's book. I have also seen two additional occasions where Warren's salvation prayer had no reference to the need for confession and repentance!

That (repentance!) is essential to being saved and it is missing in his version of the "prayer for salvation."

Warren's church is going in the direction of the emergent church movement, that unwittingly or not, presents a crossless gospel.

People need to read the book, "The Way of the Master" first, become saved, and then they can read the "Purpose" book.

"The Way of the Master" covers what "Purpose" is lacking.

*******

Who's been co-opted?

Rick Warren's claim of membership in the Council on Foreign Relations and jumping on board the Evangelical Climate Initiative makes me suspect that if anyone has been co-opted by politicians it's him! Not only that, but by implication, Warren appears to be distorting the action of every Christian in the U.S. who has been moved by personal conviction to take a political stand based on morality.

Mic Lawler

******

Lawler stated:
Quote:
Warren appears to be distorting the action of every Christian in the U.S. who has been moved by personal conviction to take a political stand based on morality.

Very well said! This is so true! It actually defines the difference between what the liberal left form of Christianity calls for (ignoring personal conviction for sin and avoiding taking a stand on morality) and what Biblical Christianity professes!

Purpose-Driven study called 'new-age'

I used Warren’s book TPDL as a study guide for my Christian study group 2 years ago. What I read disturbed me. It sounded almost like another gospel. It was very new-age and Pelagian. Warren’s subsequent press has reaffirmed my original thoughts about his gospel. His ecumenical message fits better with the World Council of Churches mission statement. Warren’s gospel is not The Gospel in my opinion. Only the Holy Spirit can make the difference, not works.

Forced To Throw Out Religious Beliefs?

What's a Religious Doctor to Do?

It is becoming increasingly difficult for religious medical professionals to practice medicine without compromising their moral convictions.

CRI (Capitol Resource Institute) reported earlier this week that Governor Schwarzenegger signed AB 2583 requiring religious pharmacists or their employers to place a sign near the entrance of the pharmacy flagging to the public that they will not fill certain prescriptions based on moral objections. This branding of religious pharmacists is shocking discrimination.

Most recently, physicians with North Coast Women's Care Medical Group in San Diego are under fire for refusing to give a lesbian patient infertility treatment.

North Coast's medical director, Dr. Douglas Fenton, stated that they could not administer the fertility treatment because of the staff's religious beliefs. Their patient then sued, stating that she was being discriminated against because of her sexuality.

North Coast lost at the trial court level in 2004, but won on appeal. The case is now being considered by the California Supreme Court.

"Doctors with anti-gay religious beliefs are not excused from obeying the laws that govern all of us. That our client's doctors felt that they could defy well-established California law and medical ethics is very worrisome for all of us in a civil society," said Jennifer Pizer, senior counsel at Lambda Legal Defense, representing the plaintiff.

CRI, however, stands wholeheartedly behind the medical professionals who simply want to go to work every day and help people without having to compromise their sincerely held religious beliefs.

"Homosexual-behavior advocates once again are pitted against God-fearing individuals with strong moral convictions," said Karen England, Executive Director of Capitol Resource Institute. "That a doctor should be forced to throw out his religious beliefs, in order to artificially inseminate a lesbian woman, shows absolutely no tolerance for people of faith."

"This lawsuit is not ultimately about forcing a doctor to inseminate a lesbian, it's about destroying religious freedom and making sexual-expression freedom the highest liberty in the land," said England.

First, just how ridiculous is AB 2583? People, at this rate we are going to Bill ourselves to death in California!

Second. How easy would it have been for that lesbian woman to simply go to another doctor who would be willing to inseminate her? Why did she need to first attempt to force this doctor to perform a procedure that is against his personal, religious beliefs, and then sue him because he doesn't agree with her particular morality?

Can anyone see the hypocrisy of this?

Can we see why homosexual indoctrination bills and laws are dangerous to our religious freedom to choose and freedom of association?

The left is all for "choice" when it means abortion. But when a doctor chooses not to inseminate a lesbian through his own religious convictions, that's a bad thing!

Karen was absolutely right when she stated that this whole lawsuit thing isn't just about a lesbian and her pursuit of insemination. No. It's about pitting (and thus, destroying) religious freedom against the indoctrination mantra of forced homosexual agenda coersion that is rampant in our nation today.

Hey look....speaking as the heterosexual woman that I am, if I wanted to be artificially inseminated and the first doctor I went to told me that he does not perform such a service, I'd simply go to another doctor!! I'm sure that there would be hundreds of doctors who would be willing to help me. Whatever the doctor's reason for not wanting to perform the service should not matter; even if, perhaps, it wasn't for religious reasons.

Why do homosexuals always have to scream, "discrimination because I'm gay?" Why can't they see that this lesbian woman's action to sue the doctor is discrimination against his religious beliefs and just leave him alone?

The answer is because she has an agenda to push and shove down the throats of anyone who does not agree with her lifestyle. And California is the land of homosexual indoctrination laws that are leading to the manipulation and mind-numbing control of everyone, including the innocent minds of children, through their constant evil marketing techniques.

This agenda's purpose is nothing more than a tool being used to destroy the religious convictions of the faithful and further lead us all down that slippery slope to moral depravity...to the detriment of us all. I am truly sick of it all!!

God help us...
