The Beginning of Birth Pangs in Bible Prophecy

Earlier this morning, an anonymous comment appeared in my moderation box in reply to the previous post which discussed and reported extensive proof of voter fraud in the 2012 election.

I have decided to bring it over to place it in a blog post all it's own, hoping that people will think about the Bible verses shared and comment about the end times "birth pangs" that each of you are noticing in today's chaotic world.

Update!  My wonderful friend Susan Smith is the author of the "anonymous" post.  She emailed me and said that she was having difficulty signing in, so posted it anonymously.  Thank you Susan!!

"For nation will rise up against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; there will be earthquakes in various places; there will also be famines. These things are merely the beginning of birth pangs…"When they arrest you and hand you over, do not worry beforehand about what you are to say, but say whatever is given you in that hour; for it is not you who speak, but it is the Holy Spirit… Brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child; and children will rise up against parents and have them put to death.” (Mark 13)

My original response is less detailed.  I have added much more here:

 Susan!

Yes indeed!  The truth of Bible prophecy is evident today more than ever.  We are definitely in the "birth pangs" of the end times.

I often wondered how, and why, "children will rise up against parents and have them put to death" here in America.  We see the "birth pangs" of that, too.  Our children and grandchildren will suffer, financially, emotionally, physically, and ESPECIALLY spiritually for decades to come because of BHO's communist/Islamo-fascist policies; and those children-turned-adults will likely end up blaming their parents and grandparents for all their misery.

The liberal leftist evil of Agenda 21 and its culture of death goals started over 30 or 40 years ago; and are quickly coming to fruition.  Within only 4 years of BHO regime rule, these kids have been brain-dirtied into thinking that socialism and getting "free stuff" is a good "transformation for America."

They do not know history!!

And the baby-boomers who still know such history cannot seem to break through to the Gen. X, Y (a.k.a. Millennials) and upcoming Gen. Z  (who will begin to vote in the next election})  Gen. X, Y and  Z are all highly distracted by social media, IPhones, computer games, etc. - and they seem to like it that way.

They apparently think that the United States of America will still be here, and will be protected - no matter what damage the liberal lunatic fringe in illegally in power today do to us, here in America, or what they do to spread radical Islam around the world.  What is their end game?  Read up about Agenda 21 to find out!

The Agenda 21 proponents are determined to destroy this once great Christian-led-and-formed nation (whose heritage and concepts were brought forth through the knowledge of Jesus Christ and adherence to the truth in the Bible) which brought about the greatest nation in the history of the world;  our Constitutional Republic formed by our Founding Fathers.

Thank you for stopping by and commenting Susan!  Sharing that prophetic Bible verse added much to the conversation at hand.  The following paragraph states why I started this blog (posted at top of front page), here is a copy:

Talk Wisdom's goal is to defend the tenets and values of Biblical Christian faith. We defend our Constitutional Republic and Charters of Freedom, especially when speaking out against destructive social and political issues. As followers of our Savior and Lord, we should boldly stand up for Jesus Christ in our present circumstances. He is our Savior, Lord, and King, and His love needs to be shed abroad in our hearts and in our world - now.

Thoughts... anyone?

Hat tips to all links.

CJW: ”I often wondered how, and why, "children will rise up against parents and have them put to death" here in America.”

Jesus: ”For I have come to turn "'a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law-- a man's enemies will be the members of his own household.'”

I don't know 'how', but there's your 'why'--straight from the lips of your god. That seems to be the way he wants it. Surely you don't expect him to change his mind, just for you?

I recall discussing that verse with you before. Jesus was quoting Micah 7:6 from the Old Testament. Here is the Matthew Henry commentary:

It is an evil time indeed when the prudent are obliged even thus far to keep silence. 5. That children were abusive to their parents, and men had no comfort, no satisfaction, in their own families and their nearest relations, v. 6. The times are bad indeed when the son dishonours his father, gives him bad language, exposes him, threatens him, and studies to do him a mischief, when the daughter rises up in rebellion against her own mother, having no sense of duty, or natural affection; and no marvel that then the daughter-in-law quarrels with her mother-in-law, and is vexatious to her. Either they cannot agree about their property and interest, or their humours and passions clash, or from a spirit of bigotry and persecution, the brother shall deliver up the brother to death, and the father the child, Mt. 10:4; Lu. 21:16. It is sad when a man’s betrayers and worst enemies are the men of his own house, his own children and servants, that should be his guard and his best friends. Note, The contempt and violation of the laws of domestic duties are a sad symptom of a universal corruption of manners. Those are never likely to come to good that are undutiful to their parents, and study to be provoking to them and cross them.

It helps to read the entire chapter of Matthew 10, but especially the verses both prior...

Mat 10:32 "Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven.

Mat 10:33 "But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven.

Mat 10:34 "Do not think that I came to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace but a sword.

...And the verses after...

Mat 10:37 "He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me.

Mat 10:38 "And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me.

Mat 10:39 "He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it.

Mat 10:40 "He who receives you receives Me, and he who receives Me receives Him who sent Me.

...in order to understand the context of what Jesus was saying in Matthew 10:35-36.

It is silly to state "that's the way he wants it." Jesus was just speaking the truth and the reality of what his Incarnation into the world would result in - even dividing families that refuse to believe in him.

Yes, we have discussed this before, and I'd hoped you'd extend the courtesy of realizing that I didn't remove the context. I merely used the verses that focused on what you were talking about.

”For I have come to turn "'a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law-- a man's enemies will be the members of his own household.'”

That's what Matthew says. You agreed with him, with your "children will rise up against parents and have them put to death". (You also mentioned America, but Jesus doesn't, so I'll skip that.)
It's plain from the words “for I have come” that Jesus knew exactly what his mission was, and what it would bring. He goes on to speak afterwards about those who are 'worthy' of him—or rather, those who are not. He sounds a great deal like the head of a bloody cult rather than the Savior of Mankind, and the Jesus depicted in Matthew often behaves like this, as opposed to the other gospels.

CJW: ”It is silly to state "that's the way he wants it." Jesus was just speaking the truth and the reality of what his Incarnation into the world would result in - even dividing families that refuse to believe in him.”

And yet, knowing 'what his Incarnation into the world would result in', he set out to cause division. Well, you can't have a revolution without breaking heads, right?
It's been said that no kingdom has suffered more civil wars than the kingdom of Christ. You should know this better than most, having yourself defected from one faction to another. It might be interesting if one of your family concludes that you're no longer 'righteous' enough. Such things have happened before.

GM,

Sorry for the delay in replying to your post.

Your accusations of The Way of Jesus Christ being a "bloody cult" is, unfortunately, typical of those who aren't saved and are perishing. Your arguments fall flat because you obviously refuse to believe in God's way of redemption. You seem to want a "way" that agrees with your particular ideology and mindset; but the fact is that as a fallen human being your eyes are "veiled to the truth."

The fact is that there is "no one righteous - no not one." Mankind is fallen and hopeless; desperately wicked and lost. Jesus Christ is the only sinless God-man who ever lived and thus was the only one who could qualify to satisfy the justice part of punishment for the sins of all mankind; while being holy and righteous resurrect from the dead to achieve salvation for all.

Christ's sacrifice in our stead was both an act of mercy and grace for our sakes; a gift from God for all mankind who would accept it. A gift must be accepted; it cannot be forced upon people (or upon any one person, for that matter).

His appearing caused division because he came into a fallen and evil-soaked world. It was prophecied hundreds of years before he came that he would be rejected by many. It's just the truth of Scripture being revealed. If everything on this earth happened "perfectly," we wouldn't be in need of a Savior - now would we?

Have a good Christmas - in whatever way you choose to celebrate it.
