The Nether Millstone of Evil

Been away from blogging for five days and there is so much news (mostly bad, as usual) to catch up on it is difficult to know where to begin.

I suppose that I will start with a blog post today sharing the Kermit Gosnell horrendous story and trial.  I can't bring myself to label him as a "Dr." because baby and woman murderer and butcher of women's wombs (BAWMABOWW) is a better description for him.

I watched the Fox News special about Gosnell, entitled, appropriately as "See No Evil."   Besides being sad, mad, shocked, grossed out, and unable to imagine someone and his "assistants" could render such evil upon the most vulnerable individuals - the unborn or just born babies - it was also completely mind-boggling to hear some pro-abortion people spew their non-caring rhetoric regarding whether the babies were "already dead" when the BAWMABOWW-Gosnell snipped the spinal cords of these children struggling to survive for one or two hours after being born alive due to a botched abortion.

We don't know what verdict will be reached by the jury.  However, we DO know God's verdict about such evil being wrought upon a little child through the very words of Jesus Christ in the Bible:

Mar 9:42 "But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to stumble, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were thrown into the sea.

Mat 18:6 "But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to sin, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were drowned in the depth of the sea.

Luk 17:2 "It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were thrown into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones.

Excerpt from American Thinker article:

How did we get here? Step by step. Steadily, the clarity of when life begins was blurred by agenda-minded judges and shoulder-shrugging doctors; Roe's legal loopholes came to rationalize virtually anything, from after-the-fact birth control to partial-birth abortion to post-birth infanticide; and happy-sounding euphemism numbed the nation's conscience. Each step relied on the previous step for justification, and with each step America slid further down the slippery slope.

The Gosnell case also hits a deep nerve for those of us who wear the pro-life label. The case is a grim, dispiriting reminder that we are failing. The small victories are small indeed when compared to the culture and consequences spawned by Roe.

Sure, abortion is not available in 84 percent of U.S. counties. Sure, 71 percent of Americans say they support limits on abortion, and 52 percent say they want abortion illegal in most cases. Sure, GE made heads turn with pro-life language in a commercial for its 4D Ultrasound System. Sure, a Newsweek cover story argued that medicine is granting "unborn babies a unique form of person hood."

But Roe continues to scythe through America. People like Gosnell continue to make a living on death. The media continue to avert their gaze. Organizations like Planned Parenthood continue to rationalize and justify it all. And if the numbers tell us anything, the pro-life cause continues a noble but losing battle.

Our words, our actions, our essays, our votes, our time and talents and treasure, have simply not changed enough hearts and minds to make a difference. In fact, America just reelected the most open, ardent, unapologetic abortion supporter in the history of the presidency. (See his 100-percent rating from the abortion-advocacy group NARAL, his support for the partial-birth abortion procedure or his recent speech at Planned Parenthood, the first by a sitting president.) His signature piece of legislation is a health care law that, along with its enabling HHS mandate, views pregnancy as some sort of illness that needs to be prevented -- and accordingly requires employers to cover abortion-inducing drugs in their health-insurance plans.

If the Gosnell case doesn't awaken a numbed America, one wonders what will.

As I have stated many times before in posts at this blog, the fact that Obama was one of three Senators who voted AGAINST The Born Alive Infants Protection Act 0f 2002 which was signed into law by President George W. Bush, was the very first reason (followed by hundreds of other reasons!!) that I could NEVER have EVER voted for the man.

Gosnell: The New Dred Scott Case?
American Thinker - 3 days ago

It was only when a human face was put to the monstrous evil that was chattel slavery that the American public began to wake up to the societal rot the "peculiar institution" was causing.

Kimberly Guilfoyle of Fox News Channel's The Five show was in the courtroom during the trial of BAWMABOWW-Gosnell.  She wrote an article called America must see Gosnell evil, so that we may rid ourselves of it.

Excerpt:

Many of you may not have heard about this case. It has the dubious distinction of being one crime story the mainstream media isn’t all over. It is an “abortion story,” the one topic that defies the media’s “if it bleeds, it leads” mantra.

Whether it is the gruesome details of how these children were allegedly killed or that the case involves the politically inconvenient topic the courtroom seats reserved for the media went largely unused.

I have sat in those seats and witnessed court testimony so heartbreaking and abhorrent that it could easily be mistaken for the most horrible of fictions.

Sadly, as a seasoned prosecutor, I know what dark acts people are capable of. I have seen and heard my share of evil, but this trial has tested my faith in humanity. It has been eye-opening and life changing.

Whenever such blatant examples of evil permeates our culture, I continue to pray that the result will be that people will wake up to the fact that evil exists and the exposure of it, and confession of it,  is extremely important on the road to salvation through Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior!!

Abortion is the MURDER OF INNOCENT CHILDREN IN THE WOMB!!  PERIOD!!  And in some cases, such as the horrific BAWMABOWW-Gosnell case, such and awful evil also ends up being the murder of children born outside the womb and the murder of women via botched abortions.

In order to do what BAWMABOWW-Gosnell did, he had to have no conscience, no relationship with God or Jesus Christ, no knowledge of the Bible (or, just plain rejection of it) and a heart of stone that would never grieve for the children killed or repent of his sins.

Job 41:24  His heart is as hard as stone, Even as hard as the lower [millstone].

Commentary by A. R. FAUSSET:

24. heart--"In large beasts which are less acute in feeling, there is great firmness of the heart, and slower motion" [BOCHART]. The nether millstone, on which the upper turns, is especially hard.

Hat tips to all links.
