I know...stats can be boring. But I thought that this summary was quite interesting to find out!

Technorati, “the authority” on blog search and stats, has released their report State of the Blogosphere, October 2005 Part 1: On Blogosphere Growth.

Their summary:

As of October 2005,

Technorati is now tracking 19.6 million weblogs.

The total number of weblogs tracked continues to double about every 5 months.

The blogosphere is now over 30 times as big as it was 3 years ago, with no signs of letup in growth.

About 70,000 new weblogs are created every day.

About a new weblog is created each second.

2% - 8% of new weblogs per day are fake or spam weblogs.

Between 700,000 and 1.3 million posts are made each day.

About 33,000 posts are created per hour, or 9.2 posts per second.

An additional 5.8% of posts (or about 50,000 posts/day) seen each day are from spam or fake blogs, on average.

I went to the site and found out that they even have "Web Spam Squashing" Summits!

I once heard a preacher say the world does not need more "missionaries"... the world needs more Bible-believing Christians in the workplace. I agree.

The world does not need more Christian blogs... it needs more Bible-believing Christians (not "pit bull" Christians) who will minister the Love of God to all people, with His power and authority given to all TRUE believer. God knows how to bring needy people to those who have His life overflowing, as rivers of living water, in the workplace, at home and on some blogs.

In His Love. (ss)

So true!

However, isn't it a fact that secular humanistic organizations like the ACLU (Against Christ, Loves Ungodliness) are creating all kinds of stupid and bogus lawsuits designed to shut God and Christianity out of America? They are doing everything in their power to silence Christians...not only in the workplace, but EVERYWHERE!

I was just over at Charlie's "Another Think" blog and posted the following comment.

"Your great post brought to mind the following thoughts.

In our technologically advanced, computerized, and "get your information within seconds" world today, the words of Jesus in the verse from Matthew 24:14 might now be considered as something that realistically could be accomplished.

However, think about how the culture was at the time he said these words. Travel was difficult, time consuming, tedious and long to accomplish such a task as having "the gospel preached in all the world".

The explosion of GodBlogs on the internet could be regarded as just one of the vehicles evangelists can use (not the only one, of course) for this prophecy of Jesus to be fulfilled."

Matthew 24:14 - And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

I agree. God may choose to use blogs and those who call themselves evangelists; however, if it is not a work of the Lord, then it is a dead work. (ss)
