The Great Collision

When our depravity meets His divinity...

It's a great collision! *

Quite the concept to realize...isn't it?

P.S. *I do not know the author of this quote...do you?

It seems the quote should be:

"When our depravity meets His divinity, it's a beautiful collision."

Just found this:

One such guy is David Crowder. David Crowder is the pastor of music and arts at University Baptist Church (UBC) in Waco, Texas.

I was just writing a brief blog entry on Romans 8. Part of what I was touching on is how all things work together for the good of those who love God. I was reflecting on how all things include our failures and our faults. It includes our sin and suffering. All of it is good for those who love God.

As I kept thinking on that I recalled something that Crowder wrote about the intersection of depravity and divinity. In commenting on his latest release Crowder wrote

“It is the divine and the depraved interacting and it seems our feet lift from the ground for a second. We rise from our condition. When our depravity meets his divinity it is a beautiful collision.”

This fit in wonderfully with the theme of all things working together for our good. It's the wisdom and glory of a great God that allows our depravity and his divinity to meet and use it for good.
