Catching Wild Pigs

My email friend Bing recently sent me some thought-provoking emails.  The first one was apparently rejected by our local newspaper's "Letters to the Editor."  I present it to readers here, because it aligns well with my previous post as well as the exposure of Agenda 21 whose goal is the death knell of liberty.

In addition to Bing's email, I also include a word picture that he sent to me that explains the title of this post.

“What the government gives you it first must take from you”. (1)

Norman Thomas, Socialist candidate for president, in 1944 said, "The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism, but under the name of liberalism they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program until one day America will be a socialist nation without ever knowing how it happened."

Today we have the National Health Care, H. R. 3200 proposal that is one giant step toward socialism; other steps are nationalizing the banks and the auto industry.

H. R. 3200 might well not be adopted if the full H. R. 3200 does not pass muster, but a watered-down version might well pass this year. Next year comes another bite, and so on until we will then wonder how it happened.

Politicians often ask for way more than they really expect, being satisfied momentarily for a little, but bite-by-bite they end up getting the “whole meal”.

Slightly under the radar lies “global warming” with its hidden agenda of world government control that really has nothing to do with CO2, for CO2 is just straw-man in the ambitions for power and wealth and has little to do with warming.

We would all do well to heed Dr. Irvin's (Bing) warnings! Perhaps a word picture helps us understand exactly what is happening here in America - under the radar of those who would trade freedoms for goodies...or as Mitt Romney recently relented...the giving of free "gifts."

~ Christine

There was a chemistry professor in a large college that had some

exchange students in the class. One day while the class was in the lab,

the professor noticed one young man, an exchange student, who kept

rubbing his back and stretching as if his back hurt. The professor asked

the young man what was the matter. The student told him he had a bullet

lodged in his back. He had been shot while fighting communists in his

native country who were trying to overthrow his country's government

and install a new communist regime.

In the midst of his story, he looked at the professor and asked a

strange question. He asked: "Do you know how to catch wild pigs?"

The professor thought it was a joke and asked for the punch line.

The young man said that it was no joke. "You catch wild pigs by finding

a suitable place in the woods and putting corn on the ground.

The pigs find it and begin to come every day to eat the free corn.

"When they are used to coming every day, you put a fence down one side

of the place where they are used to coming. When they get used to the

fence, they begin to eat the corn again and you put up another side of

the fence. "They get used to that and start to eat again.

You continue until you have all four sides of the fence up with a gate in the last side.

"The pigs, which are used to the free corn, start to come through the

gate to eat that free corn again. You then slam the gate on them and

catch the whole herd. Suddenly the wild pigs have lost their freedom.

They run around and around inside the fence, but they are caught.

Soon they go back to eating the free corn. They are so used to it that they

have forgotten how to forage in the woods for themselves,

so they accept their captivity."

The young man then told the professor that is exactly what he sees

happening in America. The government keeps pushing us toward

Communism/Socialism and keeps spreading the free corn out in the form of programs such as supplemental income, tax credit for unearned income, tax exemptions, tobacco subsidies, dairy subsidies, payments not to plant crops (CRP), welfare, medicine, drugs, [Obamacare - added by Christine] etc. while we continually lose our freedoms, just a little at a time.

One should always remember two truths: There is no such thing as a free

lunch, and you can never hire someone to provide a service for you

cheaper than you can do it yourself.

If you see that all of this wonderful government "help" is a problem

confronting the future of democracy in America, you might want to send

this on to your friends. If you think the free ride is essential to your

way of life, then you will probably delete this email.

But, God help us all when the gate slams shut!

Quote for today:

"The problems we face today are there because the people who work for a living

are now outnumbered by those who vote for a living."

Shucks Christine… I thought you might be going here:

I noticed your little tale lists 'tax credit for unearned income' as one of those nudges toward communism, but doesn't give any examples, such as...oh...Romney. You're really quick on the 'Obamacare', though.

quoted by CJW: ”...and you can never hire someone to provide a service for you cheaper than you can do it yourself.”

I can still carry a rifle if I need to. But I'm glad I was never a firefighter. Anyone you know (besides the professionals who provide the service) who's willing to enter a burning building? Regularly?

"The problems we face today are there because the people who work for a living are now outnumbered by those who vote for a living."

Oh, you're talking about Congress! Good luck getting rid of them, sweetheart. Be mindful of the alternative: government by mob rule is traditionally very ugly.

SOCIALISM: All that believed were together, and had all things in common; And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need. Acts 2:44-45

Hi Susan,

That Bible verse has a much more positive message than the story on the wild pigs...that's for sure!

God bless you this Lord's day!

It isn't my little tale. I have quoted someone else's words here.

About the fire arms issue. Hillary Clinton has been busy trying to get our nation on board with the U.N. gun ban treaty. Apparently she dislikes the 2nd Amendment (and wants to dismiss it in negotiations), so as a tool of the BHO BADministration, she goes to that useless body of dolts to try and get it done. Shameful!

I'm guessing that your swipe against Romney has to do with captial gains being taxed (15%, I think?) at a lower rate than ordinary income (35% - 50%)? What you fail to take into consideration is the fact that the money used in investments has already been taxed previously as income. It is taxed again at a lower rate via capital gains tax law.

Well - you can go ahead and be one of the "wild pigs" in the story and allow yourself to be captured by the socialist/communist handouts and see where you end up with it.

I will fight against it all via this blog through educating the clueless about the dangers of progressivism which sells socialism that leads to communism.
