Well, I agree with author Steve McCann over at American Thinker - Obama: The Mask is Off Personally, I have thought that the mask was off from Obama's intentional destruction of the United States of America a long time ago.

The mask is fully off. Barack Obama is the most corrupt, power-mad president in this nation's illustrious history. By his actions in bypassing Congress and making appointments that should be subject to Senate approval while the Senate is still in session and innumerable extra-constitutional actions since he became president, he is following in the footsteps of the despots who dominated the 20th century.
In late September of 2008, it became clear to me that Barack Obama would be elected president. Based on his background, education, motivation, and indoctrination, I saw a man who could single-handedly destroy the country and someone with no respect for the history, the Constitution, or the people of the United States. The specter of a megalomaniac who was a stranger to the truth and would or say or do anything to achieve or retain power overcame me. In Barack Obama and his fellow travelers, I saw what I feared the most since I came to this country: a person and a political mindset that would, if allowed, spell the end of the noblest experiment in the history of mankind.
Further on in the article McCann writes:
I have seen and experienced the worst that man can offer, I am not intimidated, and I will say without reservation that Barack Obama and his cronies have the same mindset in their tactical approach, philosophy, and lust for power that was extant in Benito Mussolini and the Fascists in the early days of their regime. If the apologists for those in power in Washington want to vilify me for that comparison, so be it.

Steve McCann is correct. If Barack Obama is re-elected the American people will, in effect, have crossed the Rubicon and entered an era of Caesars. The Fourth Estate surrendered to the image of the first bi-racial president and thereby sacrificed whatever judgment and perspective they might have had. The Progressives' belief that they can mandate prosperity for everyone will lead to the collapse of our country. All history--and Europe's welfare states-- testify to that terrible truth. This country may be inexorably divided between those who cherish their freedoms and those who seek a mythical security promised by all tyrants. It's up to we freedom lovers to demolish the terrible nightmare visions of the Progressives!

Thank you, Sir, for this article. It should be forwarded to every newspaper and online forum possible. It should go viral. It is, simply, the truth. Should this decree stand, the senate shall have fallen before our very eyes. That is the magnitude. It is all the more frightening in that they consented to their own irrelevance not with a bang, but with a whimper. I do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic. The oath continues, but it begins and is predicated on the knowledge that there are enemies domestic from whom the set of beliefs by which we govern ourselves in this mortal life will require defense. Those enemies are among us today, and they are emboldened. This is not radical partisanship, nor delusion, nor paranoia.

The daily, regressive outright evil of obama and his regime being allowed to continue their assault on our nation makes me keep asking myself are we all crazy? Is there an American People anymore? Why aren't we out on the corners holding up HUGE homemade signs and denouncing the obama tyranny that is succeeding in destroying us? Where is the outrage engendering the will to support patriotic organizations that are trying to do something to keep us from falling into shadow? Trying to talk to people who just don't see it, or in fact won't see it, makes me momentarily feel without hope as I see their eyes glaze over. You can't put Truth inside a vessel that is already filled up with lies. Mr. McCann says It IS happening here and he is right. What obama has done in the last few days is his Marxist, maniacal criminal way of showing us how he will rule over us in the next several months. His goal of transforming us will be lived out unless obama is stopped. I am praying, as never before, that God saves us and saves our country and that we get off our duffs and EMPOWER ourselves to be His helpers
My husband and I often state to each other that we can't believe all of the criminality that Obama and his cohorts get away with each and every day. If he is re-elected (GOD FORBID!!) he would have no problem showing himself to be the dictator-in-chief that he is trying to be today. He would have no reason to hold back the ultimate destruction of our military and our Constitutional Republic. It would be then that those who refuse to see what is happening - the elimination of our liberties, free speech, religious freedom, justice, and the American way of life - will finally be awakened from their stupor; but by then it will be too late to do anything about it.
If you thought that 2011, was bad, this year will be THE YEAR that the United States of America will be in for the fight of our lives from the enemies within.
God help us!
P.S. I heard that one in five Democrats have left the Democratic party. That's certainly a relief. Perhaps the re-election bid of Barack Hussein Obama WILL be a blowout loss for the would-be dictator! Maybe enough people have been awakened and now see this current administration as THE MOST CORRUPT EVER IN THE HISTORY OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA! I pray each day that Sean Hannity's prediction on this proves to be correct!

A great deal depends on who and how force reduction takes place. There are more flag rank officers (generals and admirals) in service now than there were when we were fighting WWII, when our military was much bigger.
Those soldiers are not going to be handed a pink slip and given till day's end to leave. Those cuts will be by attrition; as they end their enlistments or retire, they will not be replaced.
The size of the military went down after Vietnam, too (I was in service then, I know). We'd abolished the draft, so we went to an all-volunteer force. That made it a seller's market; with fewer people needed, the services could afford to be more selective.
Historically, we've always reduced the military when we're not actually at war. Eleven million men were demobilized between 1946 and the Korean Wa—oops, Conflict. We haven't been officially “at war” since 1945. Congress abrogated their war-declaring powers long ago, it seems.
Speaking of 'selective': GW Bush's SecDef, Donald Rumsfeld, spoke quite often of having a 'leaner, meaner' military, using smaller numbers and newer tactics. To him, the Iraq war was putting that policy into practice.
It didn't work quite as well as planned, otherwise there'd have been no need for an influx of fresh troops (the 'surge' of '08). Indeed, the war was supposed to have been over and all the troops home by '06! A pity no one told the Iraqis that.
If you're so worried about the strength of our forces, you might want to talk with your own children about volunteering—they're of age, right?
I see in the sidebar that one of your blog buddies (Daily Thought Pad) is speculating that the US may deploy troops to Israel, ostensibly for a joint military exercise. They're being coy about how many forces, or how long they'll stay. That would be perfect; fulfilling their obligations to god, his people and their own country all at the same time.
Maybe we'll soon find ourselves in another undeclared war. “Road to Tehran”, anyone?
