Central Point Perspective

Just received a very timely email on the topic of Da Vinci. In the midst of the current 'craze' over the Code, it is heartening to realize that there is some good and positive information to consider about Da Vinci's famous painting, "The Last Supper". I am certainly looking forward to all that will be shared at church in the three week series on this current 'Da Vinci craze'! Here is the email from Pastor Shawn:

Dear Chris,

Greetings. Notice all the talk about Leonardo Da Vinci lately? From TV, the media and now the upcoming movie, it seems as if everyone is talking about Da Vinci. All of this is due to the best selling and controversial book, "The Da Vinci Code."

All of the talk has brought renewed interest in Da Vinci's famous painting, The Last Supper. Here are a few fascinating facts on his masterpiece:

"It took 3 years to create (1495-1498)"
"It covers an entire wall in Milan, Italy - at 15 x 29 feet, it's huge!"

And most important, the painting directs one's attention straight to the midpoint of this great work of art - Jesus Christ! His "central point perspective" displays the place Christ should be in all of our lives - at the very center. The Bible reminds us of this important fact.
Victory Verse of the Week

"PUT GOD FIRST in all that you do and He will crown your efforts with success." Prov. 3:6

God's Word and Da Vinci's painting remind us that Christ is to have the most prominent place in our lives.

When the Lord no longer is first in our lives, it works towards our detriment, and the "fallout" we feel is experienced in many ways.

Take a moment and pray - recommitting to keep Him first. What a difference it makes!

We have a BIG weekend ahead. Be in prayer, invite others, and - come expecting!!
