Fight For What's Right

I can't decide which of the following articles alarms me, and saddens me more. I will let readers make their own evaluations and decision.

Canadian Doctors Group Worried Palin Example Will Lower Down's Abortion Rate

Does Focus on the Family Really Hate Gay People?

[Please read above article in conjunction with the following one.]

Homosexual U.K. Documentarian Says Gay Lifestyle a "Sewer" of Casual Degrading Sex, Drug Abuse and Misery

I now have a hypothetical statement and questions to present.

Contrary to popular belief (which is usually never scientific anyway), there is no such thing as a "gay gene." Now, when one considers each of these articles, let's examine what might happen in the abortion industry if a "gay gene" were ever found.

Do you think that those Canadian physicians would be quick to change their minds regarding aborting children for that particular genetic disposition?

If all pre-disposed "gay babies" where aborted in the womb, would Focus on the Family's "Love Won Out" program eventually die out too?

Reading about the misery of those caught up in the homosexual lifestyle in the U.K., would it be more merciful to abort babies who might be deemed with homosexual tendencies?

One last article to share.

Post-abortion grief very real, experts say
Psychologists refute claim terminating life doesn't emotionally scar men, women

Christians, we need to NEVER give up the fight for what's right - no matter what those who oppose us think or do!

Last, but most important of all, I share the GOOD NEWS of the day - today's devotional message from ChristiansUnite.com:

Morning

I have seen his ways, and will heal him.

I [am] the LORD that healeth thee.--O LORD, thou hast searched me, and known [me]. Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off. Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted [with] all my ways.--Thou hast set our iniquities before thee, our secret [sins] in the light of thy countenance.--All things [are] naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.

Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.--He is gracious unto him, and saith, Deliver him from going down to the pit: I have found a ransom.--He [was] wounded for our transgressions, [he was] bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace [was] upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.--He hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted.--Thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.

Evening

The LORD taketh my part.

The LORD hear thee in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob defend thee; send thee help from the sanctuary, and strengthen thee out of Zion. . . .We will rejoice in thy salvation, and in the name of our God we will set up [our] banners: the LORD fulfil all thy petitions. . . . Some [trust] in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God.
They are brought down and fallen: but we are risen, and stand upright.

When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him.--There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God [is] faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear [it].

If God [be] for us, who [can be] against us?--The LORD [is] on my side; I will not fear.

Our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver [us].

Christine, are you saying that if a gay gene were confirmed, the abortion industry would flourish? Wow - this is, perhaps, the most outlandish and offensive claim I have seen you make.

My life is valuable and I am a contributing member of this world. I venture to say that no one in my life wishes that I had been aborted, which is what it appears you are trying to say here.

No MB! Of course not!! I thought I was clear, but perhaps not. I am solidly pro-life.

The point I was trying to make was whether or not the rabid, pro-abortion advocates and providers (like the Canadian physicians in the article that are pro-abortion for Down syndrome children) would change THEIR MINDS about that 90% statistic of aborting Down syndrome babies if clients were coming to them for abortions because they suspect that their child might be born homosexual.

I apologize for not being clear. Hopefully, I have now shown exactly why I linked each of the articles in one post.

Hey Christine,
You state: "Contrary to popular belief (which is usually never scientific anyway), there is no such thing as a "gay gene.""
Where is your rock-solid proof that there is no gay gene? You seemed to be pretty convinced that you are correct.
I don't know about it one way or another.
And let's say that it is not genetic but a choice (I don't believe that at all, but I'll use it as an example). Your choice to be a Christian is protected--why won't you allow my 'choice' to be gay to be protected too?

I also read that article you provided by Simon Fanshawe. I couldn't help but think of the parallels to some straight people I know who do the same things that some gay people he reports on...

The issues involved are frightening. Right now, my understanding is that a great many pro-choice physicians push (recommend, nudge, pick your favorite term) women carrying children with characteristics that are "undesirable" to abort. That leads to all kinds of open-ended questions. People have a large difference of opinion as to what constitutes "undesirable." I've certainly heard about abortions being done for sex selection. Gay could be an issue. Almost any identifiable characteristic could be. When you reduce an unborn child to less than human, it basically becomes a commodity, something to be accepted or refused. It's a thought that fills me with fear.

Kevin,

After seeing how the brutality of abortion is wiping out Down syndrome diagnosed babies - as well as completely healthy babies - out of "convenience," we better pray that a "gay gene" is never found!

I can certainly agree with your assessment that there are heterosexual sex, drug, and licentious behaviored addicts. It just further drives the point home that we are all sinners, desperately in need of the Savior.

Christinewjc said...

Excellent points, Gary. This is why we must stand up for the truth - no matter what society wants to dictate to us about any of these issues at any given moment.

Kevin,

I have no idea what you are referring to by "protected." I have yet to hear the ways that gay people are not entitled to full protection of law and their rights. In fact, from that standpoint, I can point out substantially more cases where the rights of Christians (which are guaranteed in the Constitution) have been violated than the rights of gay people. As I have hopefully made clear, I favor equal rights for all. Legal privileges, such as marriage, are of course a different matter.

Hi Christine,

I remember when Irene had her first ultrasound when she was pregnant with Chloe. Though we didn't know if it was a boy or girl, we knew if it was a girl, Chloe Catherine would be her name (Catherine after Kathy, who led me to Christ in 1992.)

We put that ultrasound picture in Chloe's baby photo album after she was born and titled it "Chloe Cashew" -- because Chloe, at that point, looked EXACTLY like a cashew peanut!

To see my little woman (yes, at 10 she sure is!) today -- to even THINK how any sick individual could murder a child -- even as tiny as that -- is beyond me. It truly goes to show how evil, wicked and self-centered people really are.

To even think that some women go in for late-term murders is even more wicked. To see a little baby burned with acid, have its arms and legs violently ripped off its body, or skull broken with a sharp object and murdered, brngs tears to my eyes even now.

HOW COULD PEOPLE BE SUCH COLD-BLOODED MURDERERS??

I know of a few so-called "Christians" who call this a woman's "choice". They say while "they" wouldn't choose murder, it's OK for those who want to do it. "Hey, I don;t want to push MY MORALS on someone else!" (Yeah, some morals alright.)

These so-called "Christians" are NOT Christians at all according to God's Word. They are guilty of murder just like the ones they encourage to murder. Check out the last part of Romans Chapter 1.

We live in such a violent, brutal, delusional society which is hell-bent and fascinated with the culture of death, it's disgusting.

I thank God for my precious children -- the gift that they both are -- and thank the Lord that He entrusted these beautiful souls into our care.

Lord bless you and keep up the good fight! We love and appreciate you so much. Have a blessed weekend!

(P.S. - we may be out there for the vote in November. I hope so! We'll be in contact if so and maybe we can finally all get together. God bless you Christine!)

Dear Steve,

How cute! "Chloe Cashew"!

I'm with you on the "tears in my eyes" regarding the brutality of abortion.

The idea that our country approves of "abortion on demand" makes me ill. I'm getting sick to my stomach as I think of more than 52 million babies aborted since that awful Extreme Court decision in 1973.

I truly believe that the Holy Spirit of God weeps with us.

You wrote: "We live in such a violent, brutal, delusional society which is hell-bent and fascinated with the culture of death, it's disgusting."

It gets worse with each passing year. Our only hope is in the redemption power of Jesus Christ!

We can only sound the alarm bells to wake up unrepentant Americans.

I thank God that there are true believers who will not budge on these important issues.

Regarding the homosexual indoctrination issue, I recently, discovered (HT: gcmwatch) a group of young people who are going up against "Soulfarce". You can read about them here:

SAFE: Students Against False Equality

God bless you and your family, Steve! It will be nice to see you if you come out to CA in November!

In Jesus,
Christine

Hi Gary,
You state: "I have no idea what you are referring to by "protected." I have yet to hear the ways that gay people are not entitled to full protection of law and their rights."
Please tell me what states Christians can be fired from their jobs for being Christians, without the opportunity for legal recourse. Please tell me what state Christians can be kicked out of housing with no legal recourse. Please tell me which state that Christians can be kicked out of cafes just for being Christian.

Unknown said...

Kevin,

Would you please tell me where the things you are describing are happening to gay people and being upheld as "lawful"? Specific cases would be helpful. I can certainly provide cases where Christians have been denied their legal rights, but you were making a point about the status of gay people's rights. Specifically, you were accusing Christine, and presumably Christians in general, of taking steps to make sure you were not protected under law. I am listening closely. Please make your case.

Kevin,

When you give an example of how gay people can be kicked out of cafes "just for being gay" please make sure that's what it really was, and not for engaging in conduct that was upsetting to the other customers. I'm sure that you realize that a private restaurant has the right to ask anyone disrupting its business to leave for disturbing others, the same way they would ask a Christian to leave if they stood up and started to deliver a loud sermon to the crowd without the management's permission. There are numerous news stories of Christians being ejected not just from private property, but from public property where such displays are legal under the Constitution, for such things. Free expression on public lands is and should be protected speech. Such use of private property is not a right, but a privilege extended or denied by the owner.
