News Roundup

The following is a news roundup of blog posts that are a MUST READ! The first is a link to New Zeal blog that has a video interview of Aaron Klein, author of "The Manchurian President" with Fox and Friends co-hosts Gretchen Carlson and Brian Kilmeade. A commenter at the blog noted that the video was from...of all places...the rabid, liberal-leftist progressive machine known as "Media Matters." What is odd about that? See the next news item!

Well...the fact that Media Matters is financed by George Soros who spent millions to get Obama elected shouldn't surprise anyone. However, did you also know that The Huffington Post was paid by the Obama campaign to report only what would be considered "positive" stories (by progressive sub-standards - not mine!) about Obama? Read the proof:

Are you asking yourself, what does it matter? It matters a GREAT DEAL. As Citizen Wells points out in his blog post:

“And if all others accepted the lie which the Party imposed
–if all records told the same tale–then the lie passed into
history and became truth. “Who controls the past,” ran the
Party slogan, “controls the future: who controls the present
controls the past.”…George Orwell, “1984″

In 2008, the Obama Campaign used a great deal of money from undocumented donors, a legion of paid bloggers, internet thugs and a complicit press to spin their Orwellian lies. The Obama Campaign paid The Huffington Post $ 55,354 in 2008. That of course is what was reported to the FEC and is the tip of the iceberg. I have heard Obama refer to The Huffington Post on several occasions. The last time was the last straw. The Citizen Wells blog has written about The Huffington Post acting as an arm of the Obama camp to smear opposition to Obama. You can expect more.

The smear machine tactics of The Huffington Post was well exposed when they relentlessly attacked President George W. Bush for eight years. Why? Because he is a conservative Republican. They railed on him about the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, but they don't criticize Obama for keeping those wars going. Hmmmm....sounds like a lot of hypocrisy if you ask me!

Stunner. New Financial Rules May Not Curb Another Major Meltdown

posted by Jim Hoft at Gateway Pundit - 1 day ago
Of course they won’t. You’ve got to love the photo the AP chose for this article. Rep. Barney Frank and Sen. Chris Dodd were too of the chief players behind the 2008 mortgage crisis. Now they are the ones ...

And the far left nutjobs (like Congressman Weiner) have the nerve to call Glenn Beck a "fear monger" over the financial crises that are occurring here in America and all around the world? People like Weiner may want to keep his head in a hot dog bun of denial, criticizing Beck for having a sponsor called Goldline - which sells gold coins to consumers and has an A rating by the Better Business Bureau - yet he doesn't see the corruption going on in Congress led by two Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac criminal enablers - Barney Frank and Chris Dodd? (Alinksy rules at work folks!) Always remember the man behind the curtain. Don't just focus on the blustering wizards of oz in the Lamestream Media of Mass Deception. They are not only "very bad wizards" (as Dorothy so famously called the great pretender behind the curtain in the Wizard of Oz movie), these men also rank as very bad, and criminal people!

When Failure is the Only Option

posted by William A. Jacobson at Le·gal In·sur·rec·tion - 1 day ago
Why does Obama want us to be more like Europe, with its supposedly compassionate and fair welfare state? The welfare state is not compassionate; it is the height of selfishness and generational cruelty: ...

Yep...the Marxist utopia has NEVER worked well in any place in the world where it has been tried. The so-called "leaders" inevitably become brutal dictators. Just ask the Chinese who lived (and the 60- 70 million who died) under Mao, the people of the Ukraine who lived (while millions died through starvation during the Holodomor)under Stalin, the Asians who are starving to death under Kim Jong-Il, the people who are suffering under Chavez...and the list goes on!

Obama’s America Must Fall

posted by nicedeb at Nice Deb - 23 hours ago
Unless we boot the Dem Socialists out of office in ’10 and ’12, and begin a slow and painful restoration back to an exceptional America with free and open markets, we are doomed to a fate once considered ...

If you don't read anything else, READ THIS POST!

Excerpt:

In his piece, today, at NRO, Andrew McCarthy explains his feelings of melancholy over the country, feelings, I know, most Americans paying attention, share:

The House Divided:

…for the first time in our history, we have a president who would be much more comfortable sitting in a room with Bill Ayers than sitting in a room with me. We have a governing class that is too often comfortable with anti-American radicals, with rogue and dysfunctional governments that blame America for their problems, and with Muslim Brotherhood ideologues who abhor individual liberty, capitalism, freedom of conscience, and, in general, Western enlightenment. To this president and his government, I am the problem. Americans who champion life, liberty, and limited government are not just the loyal opposition; they are deemed potential terrorists, and are derided with considerably more intensity than the actual terrorists. Arizona — for criminalizing criminal activity, for defending its sovereignty and protecting its citizens’ lives and property — is slandered as a human-rights violator.

And here is the excruciating part: As the Calderón spectacle demonstrates, these sentiments are not fringe sentiments.

To be sure, they are not held by the majority. To be elected, candidate Obama had to run as a post-partisan moderate, a pragmatic centrist who would not be constrained by ideology. Two camps well knew that this was nonsense: those few of us on the right who bothered to study Obama’s record, and those on the Alinskyite left who understood the campaign to be merely a charade necessary to grab the reins of power.

It was the second camp we saw standing and cheering for Calderón in Congress on Thursday. They used him as a vehicle to condemn Arizona.

This second camp, Obama’s transformative Left, had the numbers to give a thunderous ovation in the People’s House because a lot of people agree with them. If I had to guess — after its two generations of marching through our institutions, controlling the academy, and scripting the legacy media — I’d put it at one in five, or maybe even four, Americans. That’s enough to form a country the size of France or Germany.

There were times during the height of Obamania when it felt like much more than that. How many people have awakened to what is going on? Because we can’t defeat this without massive numbers. The Dem Socialists in power are drunk with it, are entrenched, and they will do anything to keep it. You can bank on that.

Daily Thought Pad
Dr. David Kaiser: “there is something monumentally large afoot… a perfect storm may be brewing?!?” – Please Read

Excerpts:

David Kaiser is a respected historian whose published works have covered a broad range of topics, from European Warfare to American League Baseball. Born in 1947, the son of a diplomat, Kaiser spent his childhood in three capital cities: Washington D.C., Albany, New York, and Dakar, Senegal . He attended Harvard University , graduating there in 1969 with a B.A. in history. He then spent several years more at Harvard, gaining a PhD in history, which he obtained in 1976. He served in the Army Reserve from 1970 to 1976.

He is a professor in the Strategy and Policy Department of the United States Naval War College. He has previously taught at Carnegie Mellon, Williams College and Harvard University . Kaiser's latest book, The Road to Dallas: The Assassination of John F. Kennedy was just published by Harvard University Press.

Dr. David Kaiser

History Unfolding

I am a student of history. Professionally, I have written 15 books on history that have been published in six languages, and I have studied history all my life. I have come to think there is something monumentally large afoot, and I do not believe it is simply a banking crisis, or a mortgage crisis, or a credit crisis. Yes these exist, but they are merely single facets on a very large gemstone that is only now coming into a sharper focus.

Something of historic proportions is happening. I can sense it because I know how it feels, smells, what it looks like, and how people react to it. Yes, a perfect storm may be brewing, but there is something happening within our country that has been evolving for about ten to fifteen years. The pace has dramatically quickened in the past two.

And, if you are wondering why I put the Adolf Hitler quote icon at the top of this page, this is why:

Excerpt:

How did he get people on his [Note: Hitler's] side? He did it by promising jobs to the jobless, money to the money-less, and rewards for the military-industrial complex. He did it by indoctrinating the children, advocating gun control, health care for all, better wages, better jobs, and promising to re-instill pride once again in the country, across Europe , and across the world. He did it with a compliant media - did you know that? And he did this all in the name of justice and . . . CHANGE. And the people surely got what they voted for.

If you think I am exaggerating, look it up. It's all there in the history books… just for the reading.

So read your history books. Many people of conscience objected in 1933 and were shouted down, called names, laughed at, and ridiculed. When Winston Churchill pointed out the obvious in the late 1930s while seated in the House of Lords in England (he was not yet Prime Minister), he was booed into his seat and called a crazy troublemaker. He was right, though. And the world came to regret that he was not listened to.

Do not forget that Germany was the most educated, the most cultured country in Europe . It was full of music, art, museums, hospitals, laboratories, and universities. And yet, in less than six years (a shorter time span than just two terms of the U. S. presidency) it was rounding up its own citizens, killing others, abrogating its laws, turning children against parents, and neighbors against neighbors… All with the best of intentions, of course. The road to Hell is paved with them.

Amidst the darkness of the planned Muslim mosque that is to be built (God forbid!!) near Ground Zero, I must also share the writer's concluding remarks:

As a practical thinker, one not overly prone to emotional decisions, I have a choice: I can either believe what the objective pieces of evidence tell me (even if they make me cringe with disgust); I can believe what history is shouting to me from across the chasm of seven decades; or I can hope I am wrong by closing my eyes, having another latte, and ignoring what is transpiring around me… I could even drive up to New York and have that latte as I watch a Muslim Mosque being erected under the guidance of a radical Imam with foreign Islamic money at the site of 9/11, for reasons that we can all bet are not good.

I choose to believe the evidence. No doubt some people will scoff at me, others laugh, or think I am foolish, naive, or both. To some degree, perhaps I am. But I have never been afraid to look people in the eye and tell them exactly what I believe-and why I believe it.

I pray I am wrong. I do not think I am. Perhaps the only hope is our vote in the next elections and the fact that we have not let the present government disarm us… yet~

Hi Christine,

Just a note of THANKS for sharing another interesting and informative post for your visitors to review. Also, you make a good point noting in your observation how the MSM questioned Mr. Bush on the same issues they now endeavor to ignore with Mr. Obama. Have a blessed day.

He is probably right. But at least the information is thorough! God bless your day, too!
