God Bless the U.S.A.

This Fourth of July, we are ever more aware that Freedom Isn't Free. Those who fought and died to establish this great nation, as well as all who have fought and died ever since, are the reason why we enjoy the freedoms that we do here in America.

History informs us that outside Independence Hall when the Constitutional Convention of 1787 ended, Mrs. Powel of Philadelphia asked Benjamin Franklin,"Well, Doctor, what have we got, a republic or a monarchy?" With no hesitation whatsoever, Franklin responded, "A republic, if you can keep it."


The "if you can keep it" part was a warning. Without due diligence and care, a republic could be lost.

Former President Ronald Reagan also warned us:



Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn't pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same, or one day we will spend our sunset years telling our children and our children's children what it was once like in the United States where men were free.

I pray that millions of Americans have awoken from the Kool-Aid stupor they were under on Election Day, 2008. I pray that they realize how important their votes will be this November, 2010. This may well be one of the most important elections ever! It will begin to correct the One Big A** Mistake America made in 2008!

God Bless the U.S.A. - and may He keep us safe from all enemies - foreign and domestic!
