Stay Strong!

As believers in Christ, we need to remember that our problems are temporary, and our blessings are eternal. With that knowledge we need to comfort one another and stay strong during difficult times and encourage those around us with Christ’s soon return. - Dr. David Jeremiah

One of the things that I enjoy most about Dr. David Jeremiah's teaching from Turning Point Ministry is that any person can learn from his excellent sermons either on television, on radio, in books and even in your own car while listening to a CD. The current series, "7 Days Until Christ Returns" is a study that I guarantee that you will want to share with other believers.

Chaplain Brad Borders' testimony is riveting!  It is worth your time to watch the video (link below) just to hear it!  But the entire service is also worth your time.  After all, it may affect your final destiny in eternity - or even someone else's eternal destiny when you share it with them!

Today, I sent in a donation and requested the entire series set (includes study guide, and all lessons on CDs) be sent to my brother for his birthday. Oops....if he reads this then he will know about the gift I'm sending him! But that's OK. Sometimes it is fun to anticipate receiving a gift - even though you know what it is. In this case, the "unwrapping" will begin most likely in his car as he listens to the CDs during his hour long commute to work.

Today's topic in the series is entitled "Stay Strong." What a great message for a time like this in the history of our nation! Dr. Jeremiah masterfully delves into each section of Romans 12:9-16 with great detail, adding additional verses that will reiterate what Paul is communicating to us.

Rom 12:9 [Let] love [be] without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good.

Rom 12:10 [Be] kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another;

Rom 12:11 not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord;

Rom 12:12 rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer;

Rom 12:13 distributing to the needs of the saints, given to hospitality.

Rom 12:14 Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse.

Rom 12:15 Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep.

Rom 12:16 Be of the same mind toward one another. Do not set your mind on high things, but associate with the humble. Do not be wise in your own opinion.

Studying this wonderful portion of Scripture - Romans 12:9-16 - will truly bless you!
