Jesus, Forgive Me!

Today's message on Dr. David Jeremiah's Turning Point television series called Seven Days Until Christ Returns is on Forgiveness.

Few of us get through life without damaged friendships or family misunderstanding. This message is the reminder that as Christ forgave us, we need to forgive others, and points the way to getting things right with someone you may have hurt or who has hurt you in the past.

7 Days Until Christ Returns

ABOUT THE CURRENT TELEVISION SERIES

Want to see asteroids from space? Tidal waves engulfing whole cities? Iconic structures collapsing? Just visit your local theater. Doomsday films attract huge audiences as movie-goers imagine the world’s final destruction. But we don’t need these movies to find answers.

All the information we need is in the Bible. One day the world will face a period of distress and great tribulation such as it has never seen before and will never see again. But not so fast! First, Christ will return for His own. That can happen at any moment . . . maybe 7 days from now.

Now, we don’t know exactly when Christ will return, and the Bible warns us against setting dates. But that doesn’t mean we can’t use our sanctified imaginations in thinking about it.

What if we did know Jesus was coming again 7 days from now? Would we live differently?

In 7 Days Until Christ Returns, Dr. Jeremiah presents a personal 7-step action plan to prepare for the Second Coming of Christ. These 7 messages will encourage you to develop an awareness of areas in your life that you would want to change if Christ were returning in the next 7 days.

Up for the challenge? Tune in to Turning Point Television February 26-April 8.

I wouldn't mind finding a place of repentance myself ... sigh.

Yeah...we all need that!

Jesus calls us to forgive others who have "tresspassed against us." It can be tough to do, but whenever I have done it a great burden has always been lifted from my soul! Sometimes it's even tougher to forgive ourselves for what we've done so we need Christ for that.

Besides faith and love, forgiveness is one of the most powerful forces in the universe. No one can out-love or out-forgive God! Jesus Christ showed us the way through His faith (oneness with the Father), His love (dying in our place to be redeemed - no greater love) and His forgiveness (for our sakes). Through faith in Him and repentance of our sins, that gift of forgiveness gives us mercy and grace. Passing this on to others should be our calling. Helping people realize the power of Christ's faith, love and forgiveness is the biggest blessing this side of heaven. Ultimately, He does the saving!
