A Contrast Between Two Mothers
When I heard how viciously Madonna spewed hatred towards Gov. Sarah Palin at one of her concerts, it made me angry. It also made me sad. I thought, why can't some women get past their own ideology and just for one time, make the decision to celebrate a woman for what she represents and who she is - even if you don't always agree with all (or any) of her political views?
I would like to be able to say that I was disappointed in Madonna, but I can't really do that. Unfortunately, it was very typical of her.
Perhaps I should just stop writing and let two articles (one includes a video) just speak for themselves. Feel free to share your thoughts after reading both articles and viewing the video at the second link.

It amazes me how the Madonna's and Spear's of the world can fall flat on their faces from stupidity time and time again and still manage to rally an enormous fan base.
As a Christian, I would never wish for someone's failure, but as a human...I truly don't understand how people can be so blind.
Hi Tony C,
Thank you for commenting.
I agree that as Christians, we should not revel in someone's failure. Jesus came to redeem us and his command of the Great Commission tells us to share how repentance, forgiveness, and salvation through the cross of Christ can rescue every sinner.
I do think that people who do not know God, or refuse to acknowledge or worship Him, find other people to worship. And, Madonna's "worshipping" fans probably agree with her ideology.
I have a question.
There have been several Hollyweird "stars" (e.g. Lindsey Lohan) who have spewed their hatred and contempt for Gov. Palin.
I wonder.
Did they even know anything about Palin when they did that?
Are they objecting to her newfound fame and connection with regular Americans?
Jealous, perhaps?
Or is it just the fact that her pro-life, traditional marriage, and biblical Christian conservative beliefs enrage them so much?
