"Joe the Plumber" - Star of the Debate!

Sorry...just couldn't resist writing that title! He was mentioned about six times by each candidate. Sometimes it's nice to have someone as the object lesson of a topic! Joe the plumber was included in many of the topics that came up tonight!

I'll be back tomorrow for more analysis and links. For now, here's a live-blogging review of the debate over at Gateway Pundit.

My son just said:

"I can see it now - Joe the Plumber on Saturday Night Live holding a plunger over his shoulder with a cheeseburger in the other hand!"

Ha ha ha haaa!

I leave you with that bit of levity and say goodnight!

P.S. For a much more detailed version of liveblogging - go to Michelle Malkin's blog

She also exposes how Obama lied about his ties with ACORN!

He might just appear on Saturday Nigh Live but I find this funny because Joe the plumber isn't a licensed plumber and (allegedly) doesn't always pay his taxes.

Uh oh! Looks like "Joe the plumber's" celebrity status will most likely be short lived!

Someone better tell Huckabee. "Joe" is supposed to appear on his new T.V. show this weekend!

I was looking up how much plumbers earn. We had a plumbing job and the plumber charged over $200 and I think we got off easy. Some of the answers on the net average around $39,000 to $42,000. Then if you are self employed, how much could you earn. According to the following link, plumbers in Boston can earn $125 an hour. That didn't sound too far off from what we got charged by our plumber.

http://wiki.answers.com/Q/How_much_money_does_a_plumber_earn

If you do a little math, $125 multiplied by 40 hours = $5,000 and if you multiply that by 52 weeks, you get $260,000. I know there is travel time and some plumbers work at least 12 hours a day so if Joe the plumber was to buy a plumbing company, it isn't too far fetched for Joe to go above Obama's tax limit.

The Associated Press has a quote from Biden that is now associated with Obama saying:

"He's trying to suggest that a plumber is the guy he's fighting for," Obama said. "How many plumbers you know that are making a quarter-million dollars a year?"

Well Senators, do the math that I did and it isn't too hard to figure out that I would like McCain's tax plan over yours.

Joe is a regular person with a dream. I don't see any sin in that. He has a vision that he can make enough money to hire people and retire without needing help of the government - sounds like we need more Joes in the country.

I've posted Joe Public meet your neighbor Joe Plumber things are starting to get ugle with the press coverage of Joe - And something is very wrong about the press going after a Joe Public.

Hi Wayne,

I just KNEW that when word got out that "Joe Plumber" agrees with us Americans that believe Obama shouldn't be elected, the tidal wave of attacks - hate, criticism, digs into his personal and financial life, etc. - would come crashing at him from the political left.

Just noticed this link in my sidebar:

Joe Plumber Says Obama Will Never Get Elected.

The press is 98% liberal. What gives me the shivers is that many don't seem to care that Obama's policies would be REALLY BAD for our current economic crisis. They just want their Marxist puppet in office.
