HBO Show Disgustingly Disparages Jesus Christ

If you are a subscriber to HBO, please consider canceling your subscription. Since I don't even want to copy what happened, please go to the following post to read about it.

Comedian Larry David is under attack from critics who say he pushed the mocking of religion and Christian belief in miracles over the edge in the latest episode of his HBO series "Curb Your Enthusiasm."

I don't know what is worse--having a man pee on a painting or showing Obama turning into the devil...

Kevin,

You are missing the point. It wasn't just "a man peeing on a painting." Did you even read what happened after that? Here's a hint: the two women who came in saw it as a miracle - the painting of Jesus having a "tear" dripping from his eye.

Perhaps being an atheist/skeptic/agnostic (whatever you label yourself as these days) does not allow you to see the double and triple mockery going on in that deplorable "skit."

As far as the opinion of "which is worse" - of course you would choose the "Obama turning into the devil" morphing icon at the site.

Perhaps you need a reminder of what your liberal left lunatic fringe friends did for 8 years against President George W. Bush:

Zomblog: Death Threats Against Bush at Protests Ignored for Years

If you don't want to read through the article - just scroll down to view the photos. [Caution Readers: VERY DISTURBING PHOTOS.]

Now, let's compare that to what the TEA Party protestors signs said:

Oh yeah...one last thing. Since you were so indignant about the poster's icon of Obama morphing into Satan, my suggestion is DO NOT read my new blog post!

Hi Christine,
"my suggestion is DO NOT read my new blog post!" Too late! :)

Oh, and I fully realize the importance of religious art and what it means to people. I just went to an antique sale just outside of San Francisco and bought 5 pieces of Christian religious artwork (from a metal cross to a large statue of St. Francis) that I have happily displayed both in and outside of my house. I would be pretty upset if someone peed on St. Francis. So if I sounded glib, that wan't my intention. But the devil/OBama bothered me. But I think Obama is the best thing that has happened to this country in 8 years, so naturally I don't want to see him portrayed as a devil.
