Our Nation Needs Gov. Palin

I predict that after going through the horrors of the coming four years of living under a rabid, radical, leftist, Marxist like Obama, America will be ready for Governor Sarah Palin. I truly believe that our nation needs a mother at the helm. Not just any mother, mind you, but a Christian, conservative, pro-life, pro-traditional family, highly intelligent, gutsy, well informed, military supporting, articulate, caring, and love for our country American woman like Sarah Palin.

Isn't it ironic that every newscaster and talk show host (including Oprah Winfrey) wants to interview her now?

I was very impressed with Governor Palin during the entire campaign. But after seeing Greta Van Susteren's two-day interview with her, I am even more impressed! Now that she has the freedom to say anything, and everything she wants, her knowledge is being shown to exceed that of Obama's (IMO) - big time!

Greta did a really good job of covering all of the questions that people may have had in the aftermath of the campaign. My one (minor) criticism is that I did feel that Greta spent way too much time on the "clothes" issue. Governor Palin was gracious enough to answer every question - no matter how absolutely annoying they were!

The Fox News Channel website has a link to several videos (click on "Video Exclusive: Greta interviews Gov. Palin") so you can see any segments that you may have missed.

During the second part of the interview which was aired last night, at one point, I noticed something on the wall behind Governor Palin. Plaques with the words "Peace," "Faith," and "Joy" were clearly visible.

America is going to need someone like Governor Palin in 2012 - to clean up the carnage of an Obama administration. I am so grateful to God for leading John McCain towards choosing her for his running mate. Although they did not win the election, the fact that conservatives now have a candidate to rally behind over the next four years gives me great hope that conservative hopes, dreams, values, ethics, governing, and God-honoring leadership will one day return to our beloved nation.

The guy hasn't even been sworn in yet and already the carnage of his administration needs to be cleaned up...by Palin?

What utter nonsense

How about giving the guy a chance?

Your point is well taken. However, based on what he campaigned on, the rabidly leftist individuals and groups he associated with, and the direction that he plans to take this nation -will be detrimental in so many ways that I have already lost count.

As an example, in other comment thread I wrote this:

As we get more and more information about what an Obama Administration would do (like repealing something like 500? Bush executive orders), the chilling reality of all my warnings written in dozens of blog posts about Obama are coming back to mind.

Our Founding Fathers were geniuses. They were also God loving, God honoring, and God fearing men. We know what kind of heretical, America-hating "preacher" Obama studied under. There is no way he could sit in the pews of that church and not have heard (or not have agreed with) Rev. Wrong's rantings.

The fact that Obama's vault long birth certificate (along with many other papers from his college years, etc.) have never been seen by the public highly concerns many Americans.

The reason why our Constitution unequivocably states that anyone seeking the office of the presidency must be a natural born citizen is precisely for the reasons stated. There was a fear of disloyalty to our nation, and/or divided loyalty with other nations - many of which now hate us and would do anything to destroy us.

Many people who voted for Obama and have been interviewed since the election have not been able to come up with reasons why they voted for him other than because "he is black" and, for those who are black - "he is one of us." With 95% of black Americans voting for him, there are bound to be many Christians (within that demographic) who simply ignored his radical associations and views on social issues (abortion, homosexuality, etc.). However, hearing that Obama wants to pass the ENDA legislation and overturn Bush's ban on funding abortions overseas is certainly a bad sign for pro-life advocates. Out of 95% of blacks, I wonder how many are pro-life believers? How many will mourn their decision to vote for Obama when they see the additional carnage of murdered babies in the womb that will come to fruition through Obama's repeal of all laws concerning minimizing abortions in America?

Chilling....

In one comment you say to "give the guy (Obama) a chance." In your next comment you post a vindictive rant by Andrew Sullivan - who is even more disparaging /sarc than you.

Comment rejected.

I didn't think moonbat season would come so soon in your neck of the woods, hostess!

Yet, ol' "talent-on-loan-from God" Limbaugh is already blaming Obama for the economic mess, while you are already issuing jeremiads against the man--and American society--for things which haven't happened yet!

Your side lost this round. Put on your big girl panties and deal with it. Also, reflect that you (supposedly) believe that what just happened was God's will.

...Or are you one of those Christians who applaud only when God votes 'your' way?

I agree. We need Sarah or someone like her to lead this country out of the Wilderness.

When you find one let us know, 'cause Palin ain't it.

"Isn't it ironic that every newscaster and talk show host (including Oprah Winfrey) wants to interview her now?"

Isn't ironic that she wants to talk to the MSM now, when during the campaign she shunned them?
During those rare moments she attempted to charm the press, she instead revealed what an intellectual pygmy she is. Putin 'rearing his head' over Alaska? Deciding she 'wasn't gonna answer questions the way the moderator thought [she] should'? Couldn't name a single news source she reads? Couldn't name a single Supreme Court decision (besides Roe v. Wade) she disagreed with? Didn't even know what the duties of a Vice-President are, despite actually running for the job?
It's almost enough to make one wish for Dan Quayle again...

"America is going to need someone like Governor Palin in 2012 - to clean up the carnage of an Obama administration."

How about letting Obama have a chance first? It's still two months before he even takes office, and you're already forecasting disaster! Too bad your clairvoyance wasn't so sharp about the guy who's in there now, hmm?

Your side lost this round. Put on your big girl panties and deal with it. While you do, remember that you claim to believe that nothing usurps the will of your God...not even this. Let's see if you have the nads to pray for him, as the legally appointed Chief Executive. If not, we'll know you to be a hypocrite.

McCain said that Palin is a novice and I was a little shocked when he picked her because my reaction was that McCain was going to try to win the election all by himself.

I was watching Charles Krauthammer on Fox News and he said that McCain didn't win over the Hillary supporters because Palin had a Down syndrome kid and was generous to give him/her life while none of them would and they saw this as a silent rebuke because they wouldn't.

While internet security is important, anyone is going to get what they want and go after people but I have to say that her security was a little low and that the prank phone call of her talking to a foreign leader shows that she needs to be more prepared in the future because I saw news clips of the real French leader recognizing veterans and his French is worlds apart.

I think that News Week got it right why McCain didn't win the election is because he went to Washington and left without getting anything done on the economy and his aids didn't properly show that they understood the crisis. I think that McCain refused to criticize different issues of his opponent because he didn't want to turn off liberals he was trying to appeal to so being a Maverick didn't mean anything because he basically couldn't resist adherence to the liberals or show independence because it would have offended which is why his appeal was lost.

DHL is letting 8,000 people go because there isn't a demand because people are afraid to spend money.

People were voting their pocket books as usual.

Ah! So now the left wants to take confiscate conservatives' moniker "moonbat" and apply it to us? Sorry - doesn't work. Get your own nickname.

I don't listen to Rush so I hadn't heard what he said about Obama. But don't worry - once Obama gets in, he and all the oxymoronic "Fairness Doctrine" [Thank you Biased Girl for commenting and linking to this blog - great article btw] Democrat loons will do all they can to pass it and shut him up. Might even get to extend it's reach and close all the blogs (like this one) that they don't agree with! Won't he be closer to the "dear leader" label then? Yes! Closer - even more so than when those young children were brainwashed into singing a song about him!

Ugh!

As far as your assessment of Palin goes, I think you got a LOT wrong. But anything I write wouldn't convince you anyway, so I won't waste my typing fingers on it.

GM: "Let's see if you have the nads to pray for him, as the legally appointed Chief Executive. If not, we'll know you to be a hypocrite."

The operative words in there are "legally appointed." That remains to be seen. We will see what happens Dec. 1st.

I suspect that the one who won't have any "nads" is Justice Souter. He will probably dismiss the lawsuit against Obama (who has never shown anyone his vault long COLB - not even a judge) out of fear of what those who voted for him would do. Even if it was determined that Obama was never eligible to run for the presidency in the first place, it won't matter to these people. Chuck the rule of law. Chuck the Constitution. We want our "Obamamessiah" - no matter what. Riots and pandemonium in the streets would make the Muslim car burnings in France look like a bonfire on the beach.

You see, there is a segment of our society that doesn't care what is right. They only care about getting what they want. I also see that not caring about whether or not Obama is genuinely legitimate as a candidate brings out further concerns (that they obviously will ignore.) What if he really is a Manchurian candidate? What if he is a national security risk? Heck - the guy couldn't even keep his mouth shut after a private conversation with President Bush directly after his first visit to the White House!

Not good...

P.S. Since when do you want prayer for anyone/anything?

That is so true! On The O'Reilly Factor yesterday, the fact that NOT ONE MAJOR WOMEN'S GROUP came out in support of Palin during the media deluge to destroy her spoke volumes. The main reason? The abortion issue.

How utterly repugnant and terribly sad is it that the their desire to keep the killing of babies in the womb mindset would keep such women from at least being civil towards her!

The only politically leftist woman who showed any kind of respect to her was Hillary Clinton. Although they disagree on things political, they had both been the victims of sexism and biased treatment during this election.

The only female reporter who treated her kindly was Greta Van Susteren on Fox News.

Now, that Palin is no longer a "threat" in this election season, everyone wants to interview her on their shows. She is choosing those with whom she wants to grant an interview. Good for her.

I am sad that even "Concerned Women for America" never ONCE appeared (at least I didn't see it) on a news analyst program to show their support for her.

Yes. The fact that Palin had given birth to her Down Syndrome son severely irks the pro-abortion crowd. Yet, Palin gave much hope to all the families out there who have special needs kids. They showed up at her rallies in droves - not because they were political - just grateful and hopeful that she was being a voice for them on the campaign trail. I'm sure they are so disappointed that McCain/Palin didn't win. But they were glad that their families got support and recognition.

The pro-abortion advocates (and, the Obama campaign) are so mean-spirited that they absolutely bashed abortion survivor, Gianna Jessen. This is despicable beyond words and imagination.

Obama's rabid infanticide position concerning abortion causes me to NEVER EVER be able to support him. Period. End of story.

I don't care what you think of Gov. Palin. It is people like you with that smug chip on their shoulder that will attack her no matter what she does (or doesn't) say.

Noticed how you skipped (entirely) the subject of Gianna Jessen and, you didn't comment about how miserably she was treated by the Obama campaign.

Gov. Palin embraces and lifts up people (and their family members) who suffer from disablities.

Obama tears them down.

No wonder.

If he had gotten his way and the Born Alive Infants Protection Act was not passed, babies (like Gianna Jessen) would now be eliminated despite being born alive - just because they were originally earmarked for abortion.

Nothing could be more despicable than Obama's evil views on this issue. Nothing!

I'll proudly stand alongside such a woman with moral values as Sarah Palin. What's more, I will take your criticisms of Gov. Palin as a compliment.

I had thought to use a term I knew you could understand. I wasn't sure if the phrase "religious Reich" meant anything to you.
Besides, "politically incorrect"--a term initially coined by the left--is paraded around by the conservatives like they own it! Sorry, ma'am, they're just not that creative.

I notice that you haven't attempted to deny any of those questions I raised. You don't acknowledge the sovereignity of your Gee-Oh-Dee either, in this matter...so it appears you really do applaud only when he votes your way.

Palin's performance in Florida today was in the best tradition of her campaign interviews: elusive, strident, fuzzy-minded, diversionary. Come 20XX, I'll put my money on Jindal of Louisiana. He ain't perfect either, but to be better than her won't require much effort.

Deny any questions...hmmmm. No matter how I look at that sentence it still doesn't make any sense. If you would like to have a discussion on merits, talk to me in a couple of days. I'm out of town for my sister's funeral, but I should be able to get back with you by then.

In the meantime, I can honestly say that I stand behind my faith and my God through all times and in all circumstances. It's the only safe place. And believe it or not, I do pray for president elect Obama and for the congress to come, even as they plan to rob people of what they have earned. Let's face it, it's not like there's any place better to go on this earth.

not to be snarky -- but here are my thoughts.

the republican era that began with nixon in '68, and came to fruition with reagan in the 80s, that's over. there are cycles of ideological movement in american history, that usually last 40 years or so -- long enough for a new generation to come up and challenge the old wisdom.

before nixon there was the new deal coalition that began in '32 and ended in the chaos of vietnam. the conservative movement that promised prosperity, unity, and national security is buried in the sand of iraq and in the carnage of the economic collapse. george w. bush will be an albatross on the necks of republican candidates for decades, just as hoover was in the past, just as johnson and carter were for the democrats for decades.

obama received two-thirds of the youth vote. if you think that's how it normally goes, it's not. nixon won the youth vote. reagan won the youth vote. it'll be decades before those new voters change their parties or pass on. in the meantime the white population will continue to shrink and will soon become a minority. the new demographics -- asians and hispanics -- are falling nicely into the democratic column and will likely stay there.

40 years from the cycle will probably reverse, as democratic errors pile up, and as the sons and daughters of immigrants become established and grow conservative.

republicans can only come to power in the meantime by accepting the bulk of the liberal agenda, just as clinton was basically a centrist, just as eisenhower was basically a centrist. that's why i think palin -- even if nominated -- will never be president. that moment is passed. her candidacy would be a disaster, just as mcgovern and mondale were for the democrats.

the republicans need to scout out moderate, northern politicians to be their standards bearer in the years to come. people like tim pawlenty or susan collins. it's their only hope.

Guess what GM - the Democrats own the Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac failures. Obama is a Dem - so he is included in the mess and is therefore, also responsible for that portion of the crisis as well.
